How? Practice. It comes naturally to very, very few people. Don't beat yourself up over it. It took me every bit of five years to come out of my shell and I didn't start until I was in my 20s. I'd recommend reading Mark Manson's Models and practicing every chance you get. I'm a little jealous, actually. High school is a perfect place to practice and get your shit together. If you put in the work now, you'll be so incredibly popular by the time you get to college. It's a long road, but a very wor…

We're not an acne subreddit, so our knowledge here is limited. Try reading the sidebars at /r/skincareaddiction. Those ladies have done an incredible amount of research and have put together some great information. Second, you said you've tried seeing a dermatologist, but there's no way a pickup forum is going to give you better advice than a medical professional specializing in skincare. If the one you saw couldn't fix it, try a new one.

I think part of your problem is your mindset. "because I don't get girls, I'm not confident" puts the blame on your circumstances, which has never helped me. Second, confidence in other areas of your life will still help you with women. If you feel good about who you are and what you do, women will be more attracted to you, even if you've never held hands with one before.

I just googled it. Simple Pickup has been around for a while, but I tend to be really leery of any "program" for anything. I'm not sure, your mileage may vary. The fact that you're starting early and making lots of friends is great, that's exactly what you want to be doing. I'd recommend Mark Manson's "Models" if you have the time. Easily the best attraction book out there. Improved my game and desire for self-improvement tenfold. Buy it on amazon if you have the money, if not...I hear you can p…

You're going to say stupid shit and then, afterward, you're going to wonder if you could have said something not stupid. It happens to everyone. Just keep trying until you make less mistakes.

Make friends with everyone. You can put your schoolwork first and still be social. Geeks, popular kids, football players, it doesn't matter. Also, read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" once a year.

That was sort of my plan, but actually getting girls out of clubs seems like a herculean task here. They'll make out with me no problem, but I suggest leaving for any reason, I'm the devil incarnate. I've been here about a month. I speak the language, but not super well. I can get through pretty much any conversation so long as the other party is patient. I'm basically on an extended vacation. I came here trying to get an English-teaching job, but without a degree it's nearly impossible to get a…

Man, it's a long story, but I'm living with a chick that I'm also sleeping with. She's cool with me banging other girls, but I'm pretty sure doing it at her house breaches The Code.
/r/seduction27/02/15 02:47 AM

You don't. If you have nothing in common with someone, you almost can't have a conversation. The trick is, you have something in common with everyone. You might like music and she likes sports, but you also might have grown up with a single father, or you both like traveling. Or you hate traveling. You just need to dig a little and find something to talk about. There's always something in there somewhere.

Money and looks really aren't that big of a deal. Models has a really good chapter that explains it pretty well (it's too long to just quote here). If you want something more anecdotal, I'm in Japan right now and with my looks, I'm a solid 10/10 with most girls. I'm still not having any luck. It's all about how you present yourself.
/r/seduction26/02/15 06:24 AM
1

Yes, absolutely. I love music, but I won't wear headphones in public after I get into the city. Being able to hear all the conversations and noise helps get me in state and keeps me in the moment.

I game pretty drunk consistently, because I'm in a country where drinking is common and I'm not a native speaker. It helps me a lot. If you're in a bar or a club, having a drink before you hit the floor can help, but limit it to one or two. More isn't better.

Do you have a date yet or are you looking for a place to sarge?
/r/seduction14/02/15 07:32 AM

Basically, don't worry about it. You're a confident guy, you're confident that she wants to go on a date with you. Yeah, she has five days to talk herself out of it, but so? If she flakes, there are a ton of other girls. Text her the day before or the day of to make sure you're still on, because that's polite.
/r/seduction14/02/15 07:31 AM

The Blueprint is still relevant and puts a lot of human behavior in context. That said, I think that (Mark Manson's) Models is probably more effective as a resource.
/r/seduction14/05/14 09:07 PM

Both of those are good reasons not to bother with her. Honestly, there are totally things you can do to game a girl with a boyfriend, but you know what? It's not worth the extra effort. There are tons of other girls out there without boyfriends that you don't work with, you're just not seeing them.

In a word, no. Alcohol is really a band-aid solution (and I drink a lot). If you start drinking to loosen up, it'll just worsen your actual self-confidence. Your issues stem not from being sober, but being 17. Being 17 is fucking hard. Just remember that all the other dudes and ladies are also terrified of interacting with people, and that you don't need to be perfectly confident, you just need to be more confident than them.

Copying straight from Magic Bullets here: “You’re fun; too bad you’re not my type.” “I love women who are tall/short/blonde/Asian/preppy” (something she is not). You're still forcing her to supersede your expectations in order to come up to your level, instead of knocking her down below you.

I really don't like negs, not because they're never effective, but because a good disqualifier is just so much easier. Why even bother trying to balance between insult and flirtation when you can completely blow her out of the water with a few simple words?

I flunked out of University, went back and did community college as a 22-year-old Freshman. Join clubs and hang out in the lunch room (or whatever common area you have), the best way to make friends is to be seen often.

The most important thing is to remember that there are HUGE benefits in succeeding, but almost no penalties in failure. In high school, if you fuck up, you're stuck with that reputation. College is so big that the slate is wiped clean every few months. In addition, everyone is changing so rapidly that even if someone HATES you now, if you meet them in six months or a year, you can be like, "Oh, yeah, christ, I was such a chode the beginning of freshman year." By contrast, if you make good friend…

Girls are not typically AS self-conscious about their height. Can you offend a girl by calling her short? Of course you can. On the other hand, it doesn't actually matter. I'm 6'3" (190cm, if that's easier) and yesterday, I was at a club, dancing near this Asian chick would had to have been about 5' tall. Without thinking, I reached out, measured her height, and brought it back to me, clocking her at about the height of my nipples. She was stunned at first, made a face at me, but ultimately laug…

Basically...don't worry about it. I mean, don't ignore her, she's still your friend, but don't focus on liking her. Approach other girls for a bit. Either you'll build up enough confidence that you'll have no problem being direct, or you'll find other girls that you're more interested in.

That's a good way to live. So yeah, in closing, not all of us are dickbags, but a few of us totally are. Not all guys only want to see you naked, but some of them do. A lot of us just need a leg up; please don't write off our whole gender :P

Well, that's going to happen. There are creepy dudes out there. In the real world, there are some really obvious signs that they're creepy and should be avoided. On the internet, they look the same until they talk. I actually ended up on Seddit because I had just read this XKCD and I couldn't believe people would actually try to "neg" potential partners. I was curious what made them think that was okay. As it turns out, we....don't really do that. Seddit more or less promotes confidence and bein…

If you're comfortable with your look, then don't change it. The most important thing is that you like who you are, especially if you're in high school. Confidence in high school is hard to come by. However, I imagine you're not super comfortable with it if you're posting here. I would probably tone it down and dress normally except for the hair and the contacts. On the other hand, if you LIKE your look and you're just worried about other people, maybe hang out with different people. My little br…

Forgive me if I've misunderstood, but your problem is that people analyze how to go about doing things like that (your cruise example)? I've been studying Japanese forever and I can speak it decently. It looks like it comes naturally, but it hasn't. It's been the result of studying and practicing for like 10 years. Guys have to work hard to be romantic, or spontaneous, or whathaveyou.
/r/seduction10/08/13 08:16 PM

What country? If they speak a different language, then you OWE it to yourself to learn that language and the only way to learn that language is to practice it. Otherwise, you're wasting your time being there. Also, don't discount going to a bar by yourself. It's terrifying, sure, but I know I'm way more effective (and a lot less intimidating) if it's just me approaching a group of several girls.

...I'm pretty sure you're trolling. I'm hoping you're trolling. In the event that you are quite serious: Get rid of the headband. Colored hair is fun, if you enjoy it, keep it. The more "stuff" you throw on top, the more it looks like you're in a costume, or you're a crazy person. You want to stay consistent with yourself and the image you put forth. If you want to keep the contacts, fine, but you should dress otherwise completely normal, which will draw extra attention to the features you've de…

In any community, there are good people and bad people (spend five minutes in /r/atheism and you'll see plenty of both), seddit is no exception. We have creepy dudes here. A lot of us really don't like the HB system, or any system for rating how attractive girls are, some of us swear by it. So, I'm nothing of an expert, but usually, the girl (or guy, I do it more as courtesy than anything else) gestures that it's fine if I take it. I'll usually shake my head as I hang up and say, "I'll call them back in a minute." It's not about them being special, it's about me being polite. It also puts a time-limit on them, "You have a minute to be so interesting that I forget to call my friend back."

I lived in Japan for a bit and the concept seems wild. We have Kyabakura and Hostess Bars there, but nothing as odd as this. Honestly, I agree with you that this is a terrible way way to meet women, but I think you learned a lot and had an interesting experience, so maybe it was worth the money.

Not asking for permission does not mean "don't take no for an answer." If you go in for a kiss, a girl can pull back, or turn away, or a number of other things. Obviously, if she gives you some sign that she's not into it, don't be a dick.

First of all, escalation is hard. I'm 6'3" and 150 pounds and it's still the hardest fucking thing there is. Second, you actually look good (going by that picture), seriously, you know how to dress and you're tall enough that you just look big instead of fat. Which brings me to my third point. If you go out and you force yourself to escalate like this, when you feel like your at your worst, in six months, when you're a slim motherfucker, you will be a god. Tonight was the first step (or second, or fifth) step toward being a total badass. Find something that you learned today, even if it was something stupid like, "Four drinks was too many" or "I should have talked to that second girl". That's a victory.

I see your point, but respectfully disagree with it; seduction is all about self-improvement and a little bit of competition is healthy. Besides, from what I've seen, the steepest part of the learning curve is getting over yourself, not talking to women.

I know you're not a rockstar, a proper rockstar's pickup line is, "You're hot, want to do a few lines of blow and fuck in my hotel room?" At least if Led Zepplin's taught me anything. Oh, that's a fair point, I certainly hadn't thought about it like that. You definitely want to keep that positive energy flowing. I am not a Rockstar, and, as such, this should be taken with a grain of salt, however, I'm pretty sure the best thing you can do is go to the bar after your act/set/whatever and order a drink, find a girl that you like and talk to her, just like anyone else. If she brings up your act, talk about it like it's just a job. You'll talk about it, sure, but it's not a big deal. Why? Because odds are you ARE 100x times hotter than them in their heads. This guy hit the nail on the head. I am an introvert. This is why after two hours of social interaction I feel mentally taxed and WANT to leave. I lose, rather than gain, energy from social encounters, even if I am enjoying them. This does not mean that it's okay that I sit in my room all day; I should not try to use it as an excuse for why I CAN'T do anything, it's merely a challenge that I need to work harder to overcome.

In my experience, girls are only very occasionally turned off by skinny guys (6'3" 154lbs here). I'd suggest that you do some basic toning so you actually have visible pecs and call it good. Or, just don't wear tight shirts (buttondowns are amazing) That's all I can think of, at any rate.

First, always try for a number close if you're having fun with a girl. Or, if you're feeling shy, get her email. It's so easy to escalate from an email to a number. Second, if you decide to dance, don't give the foggiest fuck what people think of your dancing skills. If you're visibly enjoying yourself on the dance floor and not mauling anyone, no one will make fun of you.

First of all, the fact that you're calling people on their bullshit is an important step. Congratulations on no longer being a carpet. That said, you seem to be reacting in an adversarial manner. Basically, if you put yourself opposing them, you're an enemy. Instead, you want to be on their side, helping them win you over. Your first example is perfect. All these other dudes have fantastic advice, but there are three important things I want to add: Start sleeping naked. No shit. You need to be comfortable with your body. Dance to music naked in the safety of your own bedroom. You'll get over that shit. No girl is going to make fun of you to her friends. Either you were a successful conquest, or she's not going to tell a soul. Next time you go over to that girl's house, have a drink with her and tell her you want to kiss her. Just doing it would…

Start talking to people now. If you practice talking to strangers now, by the time you're 18, you'll have no AA at all.

It's like a good April fool's joke: If you're both laughing, it was good. If you're laughing and she's not, you're a prick. Second, don't make every little knock about her. Make fun of the bar, make fun of yourself, make fun of her job, make fun of yourself again. If you're just a generally playful person, she won't let the little barbs offend her as much.

I don't disagree with his logic; I think that if you're an AFC, you will get laid far more for your effort by taking up ballroom than going out to clubs. However, there are inherent problems with that that tend to mirror those of social circle game: reputation and drama. Then there's the part where he's a generally sleazy loudmouth trying to stir up publicity for his blog and a terrible writer to boot. I don't care for the commercial pickup community (see why I haven't bought any books), but thi…

Judging simply by the fact that this is a female friend and you're trying to impress her... you're going to get a lot of shit about oneitis here. Be yourself, don't give a flying fuck how you come off. You are a new man and you're doing her the favour of reconnecting with her. If you date a lot, this is just another date. If you don't date a lot, this is just practice.

Yeah, most girls don't want to have sex in high school. If you don't want a girlfriend (which is intelligent), stick to making out until you leave for college. Your libido will survive, trust me.

My problem is that girls agree to dates down to the exact time and then I never hear from them again. Is a "we're still on for tomorrow, right?" call reasonable/polite?

This guy is a tool. People tell him he's an idiot and suddenly the "commercial dating industry" is conspiring against him. Except for the five people he pulled quotes from.

In lieu of actual advice, I'm going to propose you think of all of the things you could have said that would have gotten HR involved. Here's a start: 1. "Sure, how much sausage do you eat" look meaningfully at your crotch 2. "I would, but someone hid the salami earlier" look meaningfully at your crotch 3. "Depends, are you a fan of mayonaise?" look meaningfully at your crotch 4. "How do you like your eggs?" look meaningfully at her crotch 5. "Well, I'd really prefer to eat out" look meaningfully…

This is accurate. People have been telling me I'm awesome my whole life, but it's never really gotten into my head. And for the record, pulled my first date today (after calling all of those numbers). I didn't bring my collection with me because fuck American customs, but I guess by the time a girl realizes that, it'll be too late.

Actually, I re-read some of your posts. You're already working out, which is amazing. If you can stick with it, you can skip the 4,000 hours of skill building I suggested. Watching your body morph will do amazing things for your confidence. Trust me.

I'm not keen on any of the "tough love" stuff that gets preached around here, I really think it's often counter-productive. However, you ONLY have three options. 1. You adapt 2. You lower your standards 3. You coerce women into fucking you. This includes prostitutes. Now, I'm not telling you to man up, I'm telling you to pick a card. I've got some pretty hardcore depression, ADHD several other mental problems that people are happy to tell me don't exist. They suck. Straight-up, Aspergers sucks a…

Of course, she tried to get me drunk by matching me drink for drink. I was drinking straight whiskey and she was half my size, so she passed out. Make sure you don't do that.

I'd like to strongly second this. Most of what seddit preaches applies: Kino escalation, changing rooms and activities. I had a girl a few weeks ago hit me with a textbook approach; walked up and started talking to me in a loud arcade; moved out to the street because it was too loud, moved to a pub because she was cold; after a few drinks, she came over to my side of the table to give me her number and didn't go back, hit me with some escalation.

I have a long personal anecdote here if you gentlemen would like... My neighborhood is very close and has been since I was in elementary. There's around five families of roughly the same age (children and adults) and they get together and snow mobile and have bonfires. On returning from college, I noticed we didn't see much of one family anymore. In fact, they didn't talk with them at all. I mentioned it to my parents and they explained that Larry and Susan had an affair and shit was tense. That…

Christ. Okay, so, first of all, don't date anyone on this board or anyone like them. Not because they're dirty, manipulative people (because we're really not), but because none of them are looking for a relationship. Don't convince your self that it's because you're not pretty/not funny/too slutty. Let's pretend you're a man. You'd be getting friendzoned instead of sex zoned. The solution is the same, mate, make your intentions known and don't try a bait and switch. Just my two cents.

I'll second this. In Japan, everyone I've met starts with a beer and then moves to liquor or even wine. Don't order wine after beer, it'll taste horrid. That said, something easy to make but novel seems wise. I order whiskey, but that has less to do with game and more to do with "fuck yeah, whiskey"
