| -2 | Men suffer from Depression more, and are more likely to kill themselves. That gave me a chuckle. I’m sure you’re serious, but the delivery is funny, even over text. I’ve known people who work those hotlines. I promise you, they will listen, they will believe you. They will stay with you as you work through the moment. Please, please reach out if you really start to feel those urges. There’s a light at the end of this tunnel. You’re in the hard part, but it will get easier if you can hold on. Don’t do it alone. We all need support, especially during the hard times. | /r/MensRights | 14/06/22 04:23 PM |
Men suffer from Depression more, and are more likely to kill themselves. There are some really terrific suicide hotlines out there. There are also some terrific online therapy areas you can reach out to. Also feel free to look at r/mensupportmen. Stay for your children. It’s bad now, but you will find good things to hold onto in time. Even if you can’t see your children right away, they will always want you here. https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ | /r/MensRights | 14/06/22 01:37 PM

I’m a lonely 19 year oldHey - I wanted to check in on you. How are you doing today? Any better than a few days ago?? | /r/MenSupportMen | 31/08/21 11:13 AM
I’m a lonely 19 year oldI feel like you have a lot of feelings beneath loneliness. I’m feeling some, “what am I doing with my life?” Vibes. Breaking it down a little further - how do you feel about your daily routine? Does it bring you happiness? How do you feel about where you’re going in life? | /r/MenSupportMen | 26/08/21 10:21 AM
Mid-week check-inLet’s be honest, everyone can be very dismissive of a man in an emotionally vulnerable state. It takes a lot of courage to find support both in real life and online. I think you have a lot to be proud of for reaching out. I hope you get the support you deserve. I’ll also take a moment to say - I had to reteach myself to cry in my adulthood. I’m so glad I did, it’s such a therapeutic release. Being “strong” can help you heal as you stick to your work out routine and other ways of taking good care… | /r/MenSupportMen | 10/08/21 07:59 PM
Mid-week check-inI feel like it’s normal to feel exhausted in the face of such an emotionally challenging time. If you’re able to actually get a full nights sleep and eat well, you’re doing all the right motions to keep yourself physically helpful. That said - do you think maybe taking the time to write down or share with someone everything on your mind might help? | /r/MenSupportMen | 10/08/21 05:46 PM
| -6 | 27K Men Killed - Women Most AffectedI have a very different impression of her. I’m sure there’s a good example for your statement, I just don’t think this is it. | /r/MensRights | 23/06/21 03:09 AM |
Issues at workThis sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. On the other hand. At red lobster, there’s a rule that the last two people at the restaurant need to wait and walk the GM to their car for the exact same reason.... so I dunno. | /r/MensRights | 17/06/21 03:54 AM
As a man it’s hard not to feel like your financial resources are the only thing that matters when they are consistently being reinforced by society.Thank you so much!!!!! | /r/MensRights | 02/06/21 03:20 PM
As a man it’s hard not to feel like your financial resources are the only thing that matters when they are consistently being reinforced by society. And I stand behind saying that’s disingenous. This op reads that post and feels their victimhood being subverted. This is a perfectly fine place to bring that to discuss. There’s something underlying that’s driving that feeling and the back and fourth in places like here can really help drive that out. Men are much worse at driving out what their feelings are or why they feel a certain way. Being able to work with a safe community can go a long way in helping. I appreciate it can feel like shami… | /r/MensRights | 02/06/21 03:14 PM
As a man it’s hard not to feel like your financial resources are the only thing that matters when they are consistently being reinforced by society.I find this disingenuous. There is a genuine dialog in society that women are exponentially bigger victims than men. It plays a role in many macro social interactions at this point. Exploring how different genders deal with these pressures and whether that’s harder or easier helps flesh out detail and nuance in how men are objectified and abused in our society. This is good work. It’s certainly done in women’s rights forums as well. This is supposed to be a safe space. Don’t dismissively condesc… | /r/MensRights | 02/06/21 02:25 PM
