do you need to tell your friends that if they beat you up, you will stop hanging out with them?

Just because that's the way it is, it doesn't mean it's the way it should be. Fatherhood is needed it's just most men don't know how to be fathers. Like you said in the post above responding to my other post, most men's incentive to be with a woman is sex. Even in the long term, as you yourself said. Which means he is not interested in other things a relationship provides, which means they probably can't provide it either. In that scenario, yes, money is the only good thing they can actually pro…

I know what the word means. But it's pretty obvious it's not used in the literal sense.

Just because you think fathers aren't needed, that doesn't mean it's true. Children need two functional parents, period. That whole divorce discussion signals that people aren't prepared for relationships and having an actual family. People aren't given tools to build functional relationships, that's why it doesn't work. That doesn't mean marriages and families need to be thrown away. So no, it's wouldn't make sense for the reasons I already gave you: children need two parents and people have em…

"unconditionally" doesn't mean you love them no matter what they do to you, it means you love them even if they get sick, for example.

" i think that relationships would be better if we approached it without emotions or the expectation of fidelity," this just isn't how humans operate. We have emotions and you can't do nothing about it. Emotions are messengers that tell you what is happening to you and whether it's good or bad for you and others. Fidelity is needed the same way structure in a company is needed. You don't walk into your company and say 'do what you want, just make sure we make money at the end of the month' you n…

yes, why are you saying this as if it's a bad things? You aren't friends with people who beat you up, you like them and spend time with them because they are kind and interesting. That's kind of the point.

" shouldn't we recognize that the good feelings that we feel toward someone will just pass eventually " you should specify what 'good feelings' mean to you. I think there are two types of good feelings: - short term (I guess those are the ones you are talking about): basically short term satisfaction like the one you feel after eating dessert, having physical contact with another human or achieving a goal - long term: this is what you can feel when you have a purpose in life, values that you bel…

You are both clearly not over it. Real healing has to be done individually, gradually and without distractions.

Do you even want a relationship? The only question I see from your post is " why do girl’s just wanna be friends with me", well do you want more with them (a relationship) or just the ego boost of girls wanting to be in a relationship with you?

Well, that explains a lot. Whenever I would see posts like this in the past I would be like "okay, is this enough to live him?", but the OP never shows the whole picture. So adding this knowledge that he is an alcoholic makes the situation obvious.

Girl, I get your point, trust. It seems like we just have different ways of expressing the same thing. We both agree that an abusive man should be left alone, that's obvious. A victim of an abusive relationship needs time to pick herself up but there will come a moment when she will realize how she could have reacted better, faster to abuse. That doesn't mean it's her fault, it means she is analyzing and collecting knowledge to protect herself in the future and minimize their risk. No one in FDS…

it doesn't matter how strong your boundaries are if a man doesn't actual care about them. it does, you just leave them. There is nothing in this post about training men. Communicating standards=/= training men. You communicate to see if they are on the same page. If they aren't, you say goodbye.

Well, it's understandable to be anxious in such a situation. I think if you keep being supportive that's going to be enough. If you have any more questions let us know. Suggesting therapy is also a good idea, as other posters said. Good luck!

" If all women collectively started implementing fds the next generations would be so much better off because only hvm get to have families and raise well educated children while all lvm die alone. " That part. I think this should be one of the official FDS goals. We women in our 30s and 20s should be laying the foundation to protect the next generations of women.

I hear you. It's not easy. Please try to practice compassion and kindness to all of you! There is no perfect body that has more value than others! Prioritize your health. You are not obligated to fill in some standard of beauty, you have the right to feel good about your body and treat it with care, kindness and respect. Beauty is about feeling comfortable in yourself I know it sounds corny but I promise the more you work on self-love -> the better you will feel mentally -> your positive feeling…

Best advice: You are the one who has the responsibility of saving yourself. Another one: Understand that healing is a gradual, slow process. So be patient and enjoy the journey.

It's great that you are trying to help and congratulations for the baby! I don't think you can change your wife's self-esteem. The only thing you can do is to keep support her and take care of her and take care of yourself too. Do you have an idea why she has low self-esteem? Have you ever talked about this issue? I think talking about those issues, actively listening already helps a lot. She is the one who will have to make the choice of what she wants to do in life, though.

I think you should believe your gut feeling. Keeping a friend after he rejected her seems indeed fishy. I think you did the right thing. I believe real friends are few in life. He can genuinely like those girls but I doubt those 'friendships' are anything more than ego stroking.

Wanting sex in itself isn't wrong. What matters is that you do it in a way which benefits you and keeps you safe. It's difficult to give advice since you didn't write a lot. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Unfortunately I only saw part of your post before you deleted it. I can only say that recovery is usually very slow and gradual, it's a process that requires patience and self-love. Good luck to you!

Honestly I didn't do any of those and it damaged the relationship I was in. I agree you shouldn't go out of your way in the beggining but being too icy can scare away a genuinely good guy. So be careful with that.

I think it's all about having real confidence and a clear-mind. If you truly have this, you won't be impressed with 99% of the guys you will date. It will save you from so much bullshit. No tactics needed. You will be naturally unbothered and focused on what he does and how YOU feel about him, not the other way around.

Exactly, and it's crazy how normalized it has become. I believe we as women, have actually impeccable intuition but we don't use it. If we actually started to believe in ourselves instead of giving men chances, it would save us from so much shit

I generaly agree with you, I think people sympathize with women who are being forced into it. The ones that claim to love it, might still have some emotional problems.

How can you have respect or regard for someone who has no respect or regard for their own self? I am also against sex work (not sex workers who are forced) but this is too much. It's exactly the 'logic' men use when justify using emotionally vulnerable women for sex in real life.

There is no risk high enough to make these males refrain from sex, sad
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/03/20 11:26 AM

Male sexuality itself is generally very exploitative I think that way too. Even in language you see how sexual acts are used to demean another person: telling someone "suck my dick" as insult or instead of saying sex, using world like 'beat', 'hit', 'smash'. Sad.
