Good advice. Luckily for me she moved out and our bills are therefore separate. It’s just kid related stuff.

Do you mind sharing what were classified as essential expenses? Where do kids clothes and similar things go?

Did you spell out what are essential expenses? Seems like that is a loophole if you don’t.

Thank God for at fault states where it does matter. My STXW won’t get a dime of alimony. Bitch gambled away $2,500 a month of likely lifetime alimony because of her fuck buddy.

I do want to try to give her what she needs. But with the affair and all involved it’s a tricky spot.

She makes a quarter or what I make if she’s lucky and takes on a full time job. She want words of affection, affirmation, telling her good job etc. she rarely did that for me and my background and upbringing do not make me a sweet talker. I am more of my actions (working, providing, taking care of things) speak more than words.

I was never abusive verbally or physically. She just was not getting the attention and affection the way she wanted. She had a VERY VERY comfortable life (housekeepers cleaning the house, never had money issues, large luxury home, no debt to speak of basically etc.). He did not dump her. He very much wanted to continue with her. He was also emotionally invested and was mad when she called to break it off.

Her AP is in a different city 1.5 hrs away. He has kids and financial obligations. He’s a bit of a loser IMO but I guess he’s a sweet talker and I’m not as I focused on providing for my family and making life comfortable for them.

She is no longer with her affair partner. I made her call him in front off me and break things off and she did. He wasn’t happy. I feel it was genuine from her end. But it’s still a tough situation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
