Thank you for your input, my father has the same tendencies. I will take a look at everything and see where the fault lies.

I feel like in this situation (I've posted about it) if I STFU or talk, I make it bad. I'm at a loss of what to do. Either way, he is mad at me and I don't want to invalidated that.

I do side with him when he has vented about this before but because it is an issue that was caused on my behalf (that I'm currently addressing) it has seemed to only make matters worse. So I took the stfu step this time around, and the silence ticked him off but it made hours of venting turn into 20-30 minutes since I wasnt speaking.

These already sound good! Can't wait to start making them! I'd love to eventually be able to make food without having to follow the step by step recipe on how to do it but I know that comes with time and experience :)

Okay, thank you for your advice! I'll check them out. I've seen some of their videos on remaking classic foods and found it interesting but they use fancy technology that only professional kitchens would use in those particular videos.

As someone who's been in a LDR before transitioning into living together, I can honestly tell you nothing changes. If anything, one major thing to note is that when you talk to your BF, your communication skills have to be even better than in normal circumstances. Most people don't realize it, but we're able to pick up on what people say from what they really mean from body language and gestures. It's hard to discern that when you can't see your partner at all. So treat it just like before but m…

I would suggest you tread carefully with telling his mother about your situation. If he were to go and find out his own mother is getting on him about his personal affairs because you told her, it could be seen as you putting his own mom against him. I would also suggest that you completely go no contact. And continue to do so. Most people who come back from being deployed will have a hard transition phase from being a "soldier" to going back to a "citizen". And unfortunately, in some cases, men…

I don't know. I really don't know. I've been pondering it since this morning and I still don't have any answers at the moment. To be honest, it's stressing and scaring me a bit that I'm doing these things subconsciously and can't even find the reason as to why.

Hmm...I can see why you would say this. And the possibility is there. Could you elaborate on that for a bit? And if you happen to have any book recommendations in regards to this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Would you mind elaborating on that please? I don't want to disrespect him at all. I didn't realize that I was.

Your right on both accounts. It's just that, I know what he's saying is right and I've no reason to doubt him at all. But for some reason, it's as if I logically understand what he's saying but feel as though he might have meant it in a different way. I think I'm just reinterpreting his words for my own convenience and I wasn't even aware I was doing this until reading your comment.

This rings so many bells similar to what I was dealing with when me and my BF started living together. Before we even moved in together we were LDR of sorts. But when we moved in together, I realized that there was SO MUCH going on in his life that to took me by surprise. Over time, I started feeling resentful as well. Feeling as though we weren't spending quality time together as much as we were before. Luckily I have a near eidetic-like memory when it comes to our conversations. He sat me down…

A wide variety of things. From how many times I workout per week, to what's on the menu when I'm in the kitchen cooking. For better context, 2 weeks ago my sister came in town and wanted to go our for a girls night out. I ran it by him as we also had plans that day. At first he said go ahead as he knows my sister's rarely in North jersey so he had no issues. 20 minutes after we had that conversation, My sister called the house phone wanting to plan things out in advance. As we were talking she m…

I do believe I am, I am willing to give him every thing he wants in a woman. Not only for him but for me and our relationship as well.

I have been going to the gym since October as well as being on Isagenix for a bit. I go to the gym 3 times a week on minimum and have lost over 40 pounds since i have started. He is very proud of how far I've come with that.

As of yesterday, he said that he has faith in me still to be able to grow but he can't trust my words. To me the relationship is very important, but if I were to look at it from an outsiders point I wouldn't believe the words that I was saying because my actions were speaking louder than my words and I want to change that. I want him to continue being my captain and steering our boat, I don't want to be the one that sinks it. This is my first serious relationship, and first time feeling so much …

I've been seeing multiple threads about seeing a therapist and it is sounding like more and more of a good idea. Is there a specific therapist to see?

To be honest, we have not spoken about him getting a job up here. He always speak about him coming home from work and me being there at home. Right now, we are both focusing on getting income to move forward in life. His goal is to get a "new" car and then move out and move up here and both of us continue working.

I do not have medical conditions, just a weak immune system. Had gotten sick multiple times with fever, even one time to the point or pneumonia. The company that let me go due to the position no longer there had just promoted me to the lead staff of that program and then the state decided to no longer run the program and only have the school program running. I highly enjoyed working with that company, and the children I was working with. The job I'm going for is near me, and he knows how badly I…

The first time I was fired I was a file clerk for a lawyer and he replaced me with a law student since I was education. The second time was at a day care, was fired due to too many sick days. The third time was a temp job as a team associate and was let go after the temp period was done. The fourth time I was let go was a before and after school position and the position I was working became redundant because they switched programs. And the last job, which this one was the hardest one to get let…

We have met in person once, currently our situations with living are that I live in NJ while he lives in FL. We want to move in together and continue being together, his priority at this moment is to get enough money for a car and then saving up for us to get an apartment. With job losses, I lose my job more then he does. I was fired from my previous 5 jobs, the last one hitting the hardest. He has been fired from his past 2 previous jobs. I have been out of a job since December and he has been …

We have talked about moving in together by the end of this year or next year. It depends on the money situation, we are both in our parents house at the current moment and at this time point out of jobs but searching daily.
