I hate it when a good reasoned deconstruction of an absurd argument is diluted and undermined by name calling. I had to stop watching part way through because there are too many breaks where the interjection is just to call her a name.

A private club to which you are a member, may set up a meeting where you are present, to inform you that you are being ejected from the club. They can refuse your lawyer, as they are not fining you, nor are the charging you with anything. They are simply ejecting you from their private club. You do not have the right to a lawyer whenever you feel like it. Private universities are much the same... It's reprehensible, and it's bullshit, but it's reality.

I agree with this 100%. The problems on the left are measured and well thought out. I was looking forward to the analogs, but instead got largely unrelated topics and statistics. You mentioned government infringement of reproductive rights for women, mention government bias against ment with respect to custody of children. In the second point on the right I would more emphasize dangerous and stressful jobs, which in turn lead to the higher suicide and death. It contrasts well with the point that…

This is largely what I'm looking for, thank you. The numbers aren't quite as granular as I'd like, but it gives credence to the "women are involved in roughly 1/3 of child sexual abuses" statement that I've heard in the past. I wonder if the detail data they used to compute their statistics is publicly available in any form...

You have to assume that those that do come forward and are believed are a reasonably representative sample of the larger body. As for how to research it, analysis of instances of offenses as tracked by law enforcement agencies seems to be the obvious way. It's tough because what does get reported is obviously not a perfect match with what is happening, but it's as close as you can reasonably get.

I hadn't seen it yet. Thank you for posting. Don't be discouraged by the potential that something you want to post post could be a repost. If the community feels it's old and already been posted enough they'll downvote it and no one will see it. He gets to that figure by use of this dynamite math... there are x women in college, take .04*x as the number that get raped annually, multiply by 4 for 4 years of college...<insert other comparisons here>... and thus we have this many raped per year! His statistic is based on a derived 4 year metric, but he uses it as an annual metric.

This is unsubstantiated feminist bashing that should be curbed in this subreddit. I'm all for mens rights, and I hate extremists in any political/social theater, but generalizing and claiming you have proof gives our subreddit a bad name. What you probably meant to say is, "The extreminists are the loudest among feminists. This and all of the negative feedback Naomi Wolf has been getting is strong evidence of such, since you need to really look hard to find good rational discussion about her."

The issue you raise is, "If a woman doesn't tell the man about the pregnancy before the abortion window closes, then the man is screwed." This is somewhat mitigated with the caveat that, if a man is not informed about a pregnancy until after an abortion is no longer an option, then he is no longer financially obligated. Now I consent this isn't the 100% guarantee "honest on all sides" situation you mentioned because I can already begin to see abuses from both sides, but it closes a big gap...

If a man has sex with a woman, and states during the first trimester (the valid window for an abortion) that he wants to be absolved of all financial responsibility for the child, then he should be allowed that right. Since it is solely the woman's right to choose to get an abortion or not, a man should have a similar way to "get out" of the situation in the same time frame.
