Who says 5 is average? By most rating scales a 5 is pretty gross, probably bottom 20%. We're conditioned in school to understand that 5/10 is a pretty terrible score and it carries over to all subjective rating systems. Nobody ever says they banged a 4 when the girl is a little below average. It's always a 6 or even 7.
