This is so true. It’s a tunnel, but the only way out is through it, and there IS a light at the end. One of the things that helped me through it was the realization that I don’t have to live my life according to someone else’s limiting beliefs anymore. All the things I couldn’t do or that she wouldn’t do, poof gone. We got divorced bc we wanted different things, which I suspect is true for most. Now, you can chart your own course, and focus energy on the relationships with people who want to be …

Just remember, time remains undefeated. When we were all 18-21 and the hottest girls were chasing richer older men, that continues. What I learned after my divorce is that now you are that older more well-adjusted guy, and likely will continue to have options in the dating pool even as you age. Your ex has to compete with all the younger women, including ones who aren’t single moms with baggage like hers, and she’s not getting any younger. She may be presenting the vibe on social media that she’…

Dude, it sure does, but healing takes times. You will continue to have moments and situations that will remind you of things from your prior relationship. I think of it like you’re walking along a beach with your feet in the water. Every once in awhile, a big wave is gonna wash over you, maybe even get your clothes wet. The moment might feel too big for you. But remember it’s just a moment and the tide is gonna go right back out. Those waves won’t stop, and they will continue to surprise you, bu…

Dude, same no regrets. You are going to find that there’s a lot of women out there interested in you now that you’re single. I just put myself out there, had a great “ho phase” after my divorce too. Figured screw it, why would I care if some random or a lady I went on 2 dates with says naw I’m not feeling it? Have fun, experience diff people, try new activities/restaurants/beer gardens you wouldn’t have while married. Be free! Afrer cycling through close to a dozen, just looking to go on dates, …

Cut communication & lawyer up. Change all the passwords on your computer, bank account apps, everything. Collect financial records of everything spent towards her business, and all accounts and cash. Keep them someplace she can’t get at them. She is not your friend or partner anymore. She does not have your best interests at heart. YOU NEED TO PROTECT YOURSELF.

6 months out from finalization/being back in my house. It gets SO much better, my dudes. The distance and being away from her tentacles is great.

THiS. When my ex filed on me, I didn’t fight her at all, to the point that she asked me several times “why aren’t you fighting me more on this”, bc she I think to this day months after we finalized amicably, she still doesn’t understand. 😂😂🤷‍♂️ every time I have to text her to sign last few bits of paperwork, she sounds thirsty AF, “oh are you coming over today to drop that off” “no I’m busy” it makes me chuckle, to think of all the fun adventures and experiences in my life now that she will nev…

Dude. Take it from me: M late 30s Under 6ft with Dadbod in process of divorce. I’m pretty outgoing & personable, but getting interest already. I’m going to be fine. You are younger than me and in shape, bro you gonna be JUST FINE. Here’s the key: True happiness comes from within. Tend your garden and you’ll attract bees. Your marriage sounds terrible. Get out. Focus on yourself, do activities you enjoy w fam & friends. Try a new hobby. Talk to people in the checkout line at grocery store. Be hap…

This sums up my stbx and I. Over time she grew to resent me dividing my limited free time between her, friends, projects etc, and wanting to go out socialize, etc. She gradually did less and less around the house, with a worsening attitude. Mopey, sleepy, depressed. She filed on me a few months ago, caught me by surprise. Don’t be surprised like I was. Go to marriage counselling and try to find a compromise before you get too far apart. Once she decides, it’ll be too late.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
