Toxic masculinity is when you say “grow a pair” or “man up” or “take it like a man.” We’re taught to bury our feelings inside and be emotionless. That’s why we don’t report sexual abuse. We’re told that doing so makes us weak.

Oh definitely. That’d be the most ideal scenario. But as long as I need decent razors that I can buy at Walmart, Harry’s is going to be my go-to.

Hell yeah. It’s not even that they aren’t a shitty company like Gillette or DSC. They actually make nice and affordable razors. I’ve been shaving with Harry’s for years.

I think we’re having different conversations. I was upset by the Gillette ad as well. I was just saying that Harry’s supports a society that accepts sensitive men. Men should be allowed to be stay at home fathers, nurses, and teachers. Society expects men to be unfeeling and bullet-proof, but we can’t be that all the time. Rise to the occasion, sure, but it’s ok to have feelings. That’s what Harry’s stands for and I really like that.

The implication of the advertisement is that men have those problems because they are men. That’s what I had a problem with. They didn’t show women bullying or harassing. Only men. That was the issue.
/r/MensRights26/01/19 05:28 PM

They didn’t say “rape is bad.” Did you not watch the ad?

And Dollar Shave Club, I guess.

Well sure, but I don’t have a problem with their message. I need razors anyway and I agree with they have to say.

It was almost implying that all men are shitty. That’s what bothered me.

DSC is equally SJW and #MeToo. Go Harry’s.

You may have misunderstood Harry’s position. They’re very male-positive. They are fighting true toxic masculinity. The kind that demands men to bullet-proof unfeeling machines. They support our right to have feelings and be vulnerable. Harry’s stands against maxims like “take it like a man” and “grow a pair.” I applaud them for that.

Preach. Go Harry’s. They’re male-positive. They define toxic masculinity as the societal expectation that men are bullet-proof unfeeling machines that are not allowed to show emotion or sensitivity. They support sensitive and vulnerable masculinity. I love Harry’s position on the topic and they make a great razor at an affordable price. Big fan.

Single dads, nurses, and teachers. That would have been a hell of an ad.

Not white. All males of all races. Specifically straight males.

Then you are a blind and ignorant person. I pity you.

He difference is that Gillette is calling men rapists and assaulters while Harry’s wants society to stop telling men that they are not allowed to have feelings or be vulnerable. Harpy’s wants to push the message that men can be sensitive and that that sensitivity makes the stronger. Gillette just called us all rapists.

Harry’s supports men’s right to have feelings and be vulnerable in a society that expects them to be bulletproof. I like that. They’ve had my business for 3 years and I don’t plan on switching.

My father was a huge part of my childhood. He is the man I want to be and I try to model myself after him in every way I can. He's an extremely honorable man and I'd be lucky to be half the man he is. I'm so incredibly grateful for the upbringing I had.

I don't grow facial hair well. On me, it just makes me look like I'm 13 and my parents have told me about shaving yet. Like I've tried. I let it grow for a month at it just stops at like 3mm. I look 1000x better clean shaven.

That comment is spot on. My girlfriend is going into real estate and interior design. She wanted to open a flower shop, but she also wants to be successful. She chose the path to success instead of fun.

I can live with the don't-have'sex-while-she-or-both-of-you-are-drunk thing, but that is truly horrifying. That means that women can claim rape for literally any completely indisputable and untestable reason. I'm all about equality and freedom, but the SJWs are taking it too far.

To most outsiders, this reads like a bunch of nonsensical garbage. I'll admit that for a second, I didn't really follow it at all either. But this thread is 100% on point. 2015 was a huge "It's 2015; we're so progressive" kind of year. But 2016 is when shit really fell apart.

Well thanks. And I just looked at this on my XPS 15 9550 and you're totally right. It was green and now it's pink. I didn't realize how poor my iPhone screen was in terms of color accuracy. Now I feel like I have to fix it... Edit: I can't make the pink go away and I don't want to HSL it. http://i.imgur.com/NoZEFA4.jpg

This is the best argument I've heard: Remember the last time you went to the DMV/license plate office? Do you really want those people running your healthcare? Edit: I loved free market healthcare. Then it changed and my premiums went through the roof. The ACA made my once affordable healthcare obscenely expensive. So I'd say that government regulated healthcare is not working for me at all.

I've spent at least 4 years trying to understand the left. But I just can't agree with forcing anyone to pay for services and programs that they will never use. I don't need public healthcare, I don't want social security (I'd rather put money into my own retirement), I don't need welfare, and I don't need public education (I would send my children to a private school). I believe in a flat national sales tax that goes toward emergency services (fire, police, EMT), record keeping (DMV, library, e…

Exactly. I prefer it. When I see it up, it means that someone put it up to pee and, as such, didn't get pee all over it. It also means I don't have to touch it to pee.

I hate the term bromance so much. I think the root of the issue can be traced to unreasonable expectations of masculinity. Are we not allowed to have close relationships with men we care about?

I've already had to deal with tumblr "feminists" See there's your problem. Tumblr is literally the ass of the internet. It's just a bunch is special snowflakes that need a safe space and want to blame all their problems on straight white men. You deserve better company than those morons. Reddit has your back.

Rape is a sick and awful thing. Now that I have that out of the way, I can express further feelings and thoughts. The fact that people think that women are not capable of raping men is unbelievable. Rape in any form is inexcusable. Teenagers are very often incapable of making smart decisions regarding sexual interaction. 14 year old me totally would have let "Mrs. Henderson from down the street" take my V-card and that would have been VERY wrong. And it's not wrong because society says so, but b…
