It's not funny, it can lead to serious damage.

"Foreskin restoration" is a misleading, dishonest misnomer.

Even if Europe - or even US, or the entire world, bans the practice today, there will still be millions of victims that can benefit from the reversal. Not to mention it allows for reconstructive surgery for those who will be cut illegally in the future, or who had to had their foreskins removed before treatmets for other foreskin issues become available - such as BXO.

Because they said all they did in terms of medical advice and alternative treatments on their website? Because they might focus on it in their daily practice? Idk how involved they are. I know they exist.

I had a similar experience in a European country. But when I bring up pseudomedical justifications to cut young boys, I get shot down, or the focus remains on religious/cultural MGM. The problem those ppl fail to see is that MGM had been medicalized a long time ago, and acting as if cutting off the foreskin in a medical setting suddenly makes it a non issue - it does not.

This. Phimosis is as much of an indication for circumcision as migraines are for beheading.

I find it ironic that the broad opinion on cutting cultures had shifted significantly towards the negative in the recent years, and not even for MGM reasons. The irony is that people would defend MGM because of the US and Israel and their influence. Those days are long gone now.

You can perpetuate gynocentrism even if you think it is pragmatic. You are still perpetuating the status quo. Don't be surprised when nothing changes and the societal attitudes towards male genital mutilation, or other issues, for that matter, remain exactly the same.

One of the biggest reasons that I, as a mutilated, egalitarian gay man, abandoned feminism and went down the rabbit hole, eventually eschewing the entire label and rhe underlying philosophy. Jassie Jaye's documentary was a HUGE part of the process.

Even the language of the journalist treats the accusations as true. Let me fix that: "A husband who allegedly 'drove his wife to suicide' has claimed he has been unfairly accused because of an 'agenda' that women who make accusations of domestic violence 'must be telling the truth', a court has heard. Christopher Trybus is on trial, accused of being responsible for Tarryn Baird's death because he allegedly subjected her to 'extensive' acts of manipulative behaviour and sexual violence."

The other day, I was watching Hacks and there is a scene with a guy in a dark aubergine suit jacket. Edit: I found a pic here: https://fr.web.img6.acsta.net/img/3b/13/3b1335001dbbfb1b6fcccc5f9b30a3f6.jpg /Edit Unfortunately the trim was black and so were his pants, which I didn't really like, but it did make me think I could see myself buying one of those, if it were all one color.
/r/MensRights14/12/25 12:18 AM

Yeah. Even big, fast fashion chain stores like H&M, or Zara have multiple shops that simply do not have a men's section. Makes it easier to be more sustainable, at the very least.
/r/MensRights14/12/25 12:16 AM
0

Nope. The BJU studied penile sensitivity and found the foreskin to be the the most sensitive part. This i ckudes the dartos, inner foreskin and the frenulum. Your experience is fully subjective and also outdated.
/r/MensRights07/12/25 04:17 PM
3

Nothing valid about comparing a retracted foreskin to a circumcised penis. The foreskin is the most sensitive part of the penis.
/r/MensRights05/12/25 10:12 PM
28

Fuck Germany. Fuck any and all countries with conscription.
/r/MensRights05/12/25 03:24 PM
9

I don't care what it sounds like. It is the truth. There is a study published in the British Journal of Urology that clearly states that the foreskin is the most sensitive part of the penis, removed by circumcision. It also clearly states that the remaining sensitive parts lose sensitivity due to keratinization, making the scar the most sensitive part of the penis.
/r/MensRights05/12/25 03:23 PM
9

Because as your glans keratinizes slowly, you won't notice it changing. Until, suddenly, one day, you can barely come and you won't even know why. Just like a from being slowly boiled alive, it will sit in the water as it heats up, until it is cooked.
/r/MensRights05/12/25 03:12 PM

Wait for two decades, after your glas has keratinized and becomes as hard as nails. Also, you are literally like a frog being slowly boiled alive.

This is the socialization part that.
/r/MensRights07/11/25 05:14 PM
8

Well, like I said. That impulse is stronger with some, weaker with others. That being said, you can't tell with a 100% certainty that it's due to nature, or socialization, either. What if you actually do have that instinct, but it has been suppressed by socialization, or bad experiences that formed your opinion?
/r/MensRights07/11/25 04:30 PM
7

Oh so you have no survival instinct either? You never, ever, once in your life, felt any shred of desire to have a child, if your living situation could afford it? There's a difference between choosing not to bring a child into the world because of financial difficulties or the state of the world, and simply not having any instinct to procreate whatsoever.
/r/MensRights07/11/25 03:40 PM
10

This is a chicken and egg conundrum. You cannot be 100% sure of the causality. The fact remains that the instinct to procreate is hard wired into every living thing, to some extent or another.

They already did. There is an episode of Adventure Time, where Finn gets stalked by an obsessive female bee, who is only after his 'flower'. Through adult eyes, it is pretty clear that it's about lust and the desire for possession, and how people act when they chase such obsessions, such as sacrificing self-interest. It is a pretty good watch imo, with good lessons for both the chaser and the chasee, so to speak. And despite all this, the entire episode is missing from streaming, at least in the…

I did not specify therapists. Anyone who claims to be "focusing on men" is a risk. The sex of he therapist is irrelevant. What matters is the ideology they harbor - and, most importantly, in the case of therapy, what issues they specialize in. "Men" do not count, as men are not an issue. Feminist therapists are a danger. Anti feminist are too - as they mostly tend to be ultra traditional instead.

You need much larger sample size to be able to use your findings to identify actual real world patterns and to be able to confirm them. Months, maybe a year or so, not "many years,". You can absolutely masturbate during your stretching process. It might even help it, masturbating literally stretches the preputial ring! Most guys, when they go to the doctor, are never even given the options of stretching, and the only option is amputation. The medical establishment has a responsibility to do no harm and to cure issues, not cut the affected body parts off. So it's not a free choice whatsoever, like you make it sound.
/r/MensRights17/08/24 07:19 PM

Absolutely not. Even pinhole phimosis can be stretched out to normal and full function.
/r/MensRights17/08/24 07:06 PM

I am not interested in playing hypotheticals with you. Every circumcision is damaging, risky and painful. There is no way to make it any of those you described. Even if it would be able to get it back, just like Foregen is trying to do so, it won't erase the years lived with a mutilated penis. And if we're imagining ideal scenarios, might as well do it properly.

One thing I never see in the conversation is that even so-called "medically necessary" circumcisions are never actually necessary. Doctors cut even prepubescent children for "phimosis", when their foreskins are naturally still meant to be fused to the glans. They chop the body part off even for completely bullshit reasons, without even considering non-invasive treatments and by that, they literally legitimize genital mutilation as a "medical procedure". Funny how "nuance" disappears the instant it no longer serves your agenda. Are all "causes of death" murders? Doubtful. Is the sole reason for that subsection of deaths the only fact that she was a woman? Absolutely not. But, again, you can't claim to want to bring nuance and then gloss over or gravely misrepresent critical information such as motivations for murders, all to further an agenda.
/r/MensRights18/07/24 01:44 PM
1

Just because some murder is "hateful", does not make it a "hate crime" - with all the legal consequences that entails. The distinctions are essential. A "hate crime" entails more severe punishment. That's not my "personally defined degree of hatred". And more severe punishments are exactly what the feminists, with your help, are trying to achieve. What you don't seem to realize is that by misrepresenting crimes of passion for "hate crimes", you are arguing for de facto a parallel legal system in…

That actually matters a shit ton. You can't pretend that a murder in disempowerment or revenge that has, naturally, elements of hate, is the same as murder based on nothing but a single immutable characteristic a person might have. Just because something is hateful, does not make it a "hate crime". A hate crime is killing a person because you hate their race, nationality, ethnicity, or sex. Your headline has very little to do with the rest of your post... You're not talking about the MRM, you are talking about sexual assault and victims thereof. On that note, I would like to remind you that the issue with rape is that in many countries, a man often cannot be legally considered a rape victim, because the law is lopsidedly defined in favor of female victims of male perpetrators.

Do you honestly believe that these women don't know how to act and manipilate like they are actually interested in you? /r/MensRights25/04/24 02:35 PM

I was, obviously, referring to feminists. Patriarchy is also feminist dogma based on an incomplete and distorted view of reality and human history. Are you seriously going to argue for feminist beliefs here? Chivalry is a knighthood code od conduct that has been appropriated to be used for women too, by a woman. That 'women can do no wrong' is also a feminist thought, as everything is because of that mythical 'patriarchy'... Seriously, just stop yourself.

Oh my god, you are even stupider than you seem. First of all, all babies have 'phimosis'. The foreskin is naturally fused to the glans until puberty starts, where it begins to slowly separate. Pre-pubescent children cannot be diagnosed with phimosis. Secondly, you said that when it is necessary, and gave phimosis as an example. And event hat small percentage of the population deserves treatment that maintains FULL INTEGRITY of their body and all its parts. This includes the foreskin. And these people deserve treatmets that cure their illnesses and gives them a healthy body with all its body parts. How is that so hard to understand ffs?
/r/MensRights05/04/24 09:40 AM

Except for the fact that it NEVER happens to genitals. If you get necrosis there, you are most likely already dead. Stop using it as an excuse to maintain the status quo of male genital mutilation by legitimizing it medically. You're harming men this way.
/r/MensRights05/04/24 09:31 AM

they should not be able to choose it. Doctors should not be able to suggest it and should be punished by getting their license stripped for carrying it out. It is a damaging mutilation. Yea, even when carroed out by a doctor, the result is a permanently damaged organ that has lost several functions! Get that through ffs.
/r/MensRights05/04/24 09:29 AM

It should not be to the individual. We don't allow individuals to get their arms cut off just because they want to. We don't allow doctors to do that either. Why should the foreskin be suddenly treated differently?

The protections they themselves are fully exempt from contributing towards. Women as a group cost the tax system money over the course of their lives. Only men as a group contribute a positive sum. Women as a group are exempt from the draft, they will never be forced to protect others the way men are expected to. Also, feminists =/= women.
/r/MensRights04/04/24 03:53 AM

And your guess would probably be right. The issue here is that feminist organizations expect this on the political and social level. To support and protect women though government assistance, police force and the laws that are implemented.

I a pretty sure that the receiving 'ape' has to consent first. Else they'd go apeshit on whoever tries to touch them. Our society has made that impossible, for men to even defend themselves, without being labeled as babies, or, as the Duluth model has demonstrated, even as violent abusers and punished.

Or, here's an alternate suggestion: Don't devalue your genetic material by giving it away to women so they can get kids alone that other men will have to support through their taxes, while you stay miserable and without such an option

It's pure nonsense. A tipsy person is not unable to give consent. It sounds pretty straightforward. OF relies on creators to create content, without which the whole platform would not exist. And because women freely choose to utilize this platform to make money, which is very easy for them to do, and completely their choice, they are ultimately the gatekeepers of whether the industry exists or not. Men pay them, sure. But there would be absolutely nothing to pay for if women did not parade themselves there.

Minor spoiler warning. (even though it's history) There are multiple occasions when women are actually highlighted. One would be the scene of one woman complaining that they did not teach typing during her chemistry studies. And the state needs to stop screwing men over. The responsibility should be on the lawmakers to make just laws, and not give any 'homework', not on men to 'do their share of work'. Yea, it would still cause issues. Common law marriage is a thing. There has been a post here, that a woman deserves alimony because she broke up with her ex, with whom she didn't even live together. The "traditional masculine traits" - " aggression, self-affirmation, social dominance, and lack of consideration for others" are not traditional nor masculine. Has it occurred to the author that the reason for why responsibilities end up being divided between men and women is because women choose it to be that way? What if men want to share work and family care equally, and take time off from work to stay at home, or simply lower the amount of hours worked to get more time with the family, but it ends up impossible, because the woman decides to stop working and to become a stay at home mom and an influencer, or start selling essential oils, or homemade…

Yes, I replied to you, because you were not considering the entire scope of the issue. I never said that I didn't like it. I said it is damaging, abusive and genital mutilation. Doctors have a responsibility to do no harm and we ban plenty of elective, or non elective surgeries as well. You're not allowed to go get your head cut off, or to kill yourself in many countries. That is not true, though. Plenty of damaging things are forbidden or regulated. We tax tobacco heavily to discourage consumption. Same with alcohol and tattoos, body mods or any other plastic surgery. We ban dangerous and damaging substances, because they are damaging. We forbid poisons to be put into food and we regulate how much medicine one is able to buy to avoid self harm. So yes, the practice IS the issue.

There is value in having descriptive terms. But this specific term doesn't nearly do a good job at being descriptive.
/r/MensRights17/02/23 04:27 PM
7

I disagree. Even within academia, terms like toxic masculinity obfuscate the actual meaning, instead of clarifying it. It's a terrible term, especially an academic one.
/r/MensRights17/02/23 02:25 PM
11

And I am expressing how it's understood by men, as I am one. 'Psychology major' is no more an authority on a broad (and quite frankly terribly descriptive) term than anyone else who uses the term is. You're just one of millions of people who useit, each with a slightly different understanding and usage. I know for a fact you're not trying to have a conversation either. If you did you would try to either be more empathetic to how the term is perceived, or try to do a more thorough dive into what …

What makes you think you know better what the term means, or is used for, then people here? And what makes you think you are the moral judge of what is and is not positive? Also, if you are even a little bit critical about what you say, you would be able to see that ehat you describe as 'positive masculinity' is service to others, not individual development. Also, I would like you to show me some of these posts, as there seems to be no shortage of them.

I disagree. Look at the language used. For girls it's "disadvantages and inequalities", despite girls performing better on all levels of the educational system, so who exactly are they disadvantaged against? And who exactly are they supposed to not be equal enough to? For "certain boys", not all boys and definitely not boys as a group, mind you, it's "challenges", not discrimination, not institutional sexism, not inequalities, not disadvantages, nope. Boys face "challenges" they implicitly just …

How is it 50/50? A shoulder touch/bump and/or a smile is in no way a sexual act. It sounds to me like a pretty standard, albeit maybe informal, human way of breaking the ice in a new collective. Especially as a way to show that the environment is safe, if he perceived her to look nervous. Humans are social creatures and a light touch is completely normal.

Honestly, so do doctors and healthcare providers. It is literally mutilation, even if done for a genuinely therapeutic reason. It's the 21st century. Surely medicine has moved beyond amputations!

Just to add, most circumcisions are done on infants, where only topical anesthetic is used, which does not work fully, if it is used at all. So the baby is fully awake, and often screams, even passes out from the excruciating pain.

I used to work at a pretty shitty job as a student. It included deliveries in early morning hours, with shitty pay, outside, on a bike. It sucked, but at least I had a good work relationship with my boss. I would take extra work when I could, and he would also give me a day off without any issues whatsoever as a result. Then my boss quit the job, and a woman took over his role. That same year, I asked for one single day off for Christmas morning, with time well in advance. She declined my reques…

Even in Denmark, women have special rights, legal protections and privileges that men don't. Women already benefit, even in Denmark. 4th wave feminism of 'corporate board equity', 'consent-based anti rape laws' and even 'femicide' has been coming onto the feminist agenda even in Denmark.

That newspaper is the most leftist in the country, so it's no surprise. it is, also, just an opinion piece, as valid as anyone else's. Op says that it was a fling, and that at first OP didn't want another child. Op had the opportunity to prevent pregnancy just as much as the guy did. She says the pregnancy was unplanned, but says nothing about whether any of them used any contraception whatsoever, how early she discovered the pregnancy, and whether she could therefore get an abortion. It was a hypothetical scenario. There are states and countries, which count lying about condoms and/or contraceptives as illegal. Of course, the laws mostly affect men, but if that is the case where you live, you might have legal options too - especially if you can document that she lied. My point is that what she did is in some places illegal, while also being immoral. Yes, you trusted her. And trusting another person takes guts. Don't punish yourself for that. Yeah, no dude. Injury recovery is not done at the gym, but at a doctor's office. I know, because I had done back exercises at one. You're being obtuse now. If the problem is lack of exercise, then exercise is the solution. 'Actual feminists' still believe that all of society is a 'patriarchy', a system made to oppress women and privilege men. All their activism and viewpoints on men and our issues reflect this bias.

You can include discriminatory legislation, especially regarding genital mutilation and conscription. The Istanbul Convention is also a thing to mention.

You're spreading misinformation. My doctor told me last year that every boy must have his foreskin retractable by age two, which goes against scientific evidence of natural foreskin development. You're suggesting that pre-pubescent boys have the genitals of a sexually active adult, which, again, goes against scientific evidence from for example Denmark or Japan. You're assuming a whole lot about me, my parents and the sexual activivty of your friend. Have you ever considered you might be wrong? …

Bad advice. Do not retract the foreskin for him, he has to do it himself, at his own pace.
/r/MensRights21/08/22 02:49 PM

If that's your take, you are indeed being ignorant. I am arguing that it's normal to not be able to retract one's foreskin yet, due to the normal development of the foreskin, no matter what the age. We're all different. You all sound like my doctor who said the foreskin must be retractable by age two.

No, foreskin does not 'become a case of phimosis', if it is not pulled back 'early on'. Phimosis is a tight foreskin, plain and simple, it does not matter what the cause is. Every man is different and so is their body. If a man never masturbated and has no health issues with their foreskin, I see absolutely nothing wrong with their foreskin not being fully retractable yet, if they were never sexually active, at whatever age. You are all ganging up on me for absolutely no reason.
/r/MensRights21/08/22 01:30 PM

I know what phimosis is and circumcision does not cure it, it just removes the foreskin. All I am saying that if a guy's foreskin is still not completely retractable yet, it is not an issue. You all are ganging up on me as if every guy had to have a retractabe foreskin by age 10, and as if everybody was the same.

Your opinion is, quite frankly, not as influential as the policies of UN and WHO. Who said you were anti-men? I keep mentioning advocacy, acitivism, campaigns and legislation, so you getting all defensive about 'being anti-man' has literally nothing to do with the discussion.

Shape up to what? Reality? Yes, most men can pull back their foreskin after puberty. But if a guy does not masturbate, and/or his development is a little bit slower than most, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them not being able to completely pull back their foreskin, if they can't. Sure, it might be unusual, but it is not an issue. And because it is not your body, I don't see why you would have an issue with another guy's penis ;). No one is susceptible to yeast infections only by virtue …

That doesn't sound like an issue. There are studies in Japan and Denmark showing that for many men, they don't start being able to retract until after puberty! Some 19year olds still can have their foreskin fused to the glans. We all develop differently, and if he had no need for the foreskin to be rolled back before age 27, that's his body, not your problem... There is not one age by which every foreskin must be retractable. You can all downvote me all you want, but it does not make your claims…

It was obviously a typo. I meant UN Women. Just like the rest of the UN as well as the WHO. cutting female genitals is bad, but they put millions to cut men... No, it isn't, but it is part of a larger pattern, which you conveniently ignore. Yeah, of course you didn't.

UM women does, as part of the anti-HIV campaign. Yes, it drafts only men but allows women. Men are not given much choice. That is the case for almost every country that drafts - if anyone is drafted, it is almost always men. Your country is not the center of the universe, sorry to break it to you. Nothing is wrong with a mother's right to choose. What is wrong that the state forces men into fatherhood obligations through the child support system and throws them in jail if they won't or can't pay…

Right. How come men were excluded from protections from genital mutilation, domestic violence, or any violence, for that matter (see the Istanbul Convention), legislation against rape, all of which were feminist-lobbied policies? How come that the same organizations which campaign against FGM supports MGM as an 'HIV prevention', despite evidence to the contrary? How come there have been zero campaigning and lobbying to prevent men being drafted into combat or parenthood for 18 years, or be throw…

Um, for example the right to be considered an individual with agency, instead of a perpetual victim of patriarchy? Men's rights groups aren't fighting for any privileges. We just want the same rights and social and legal protections women already have.

And I was told men have all the power! (/s) You're right, it unfortunately does not make me the target group of feminist campaigns, because I am a man. As such, no feminist ever has effectively campaigned for my social or human rights, which is sad. If what you say is true, show me all the 'feminist campaigns aimed at people holding power' to change enforced male conscription, male genital mutulation, parental obligations or any other forced labor or body part society steals from men. I don't believe that there can be an eco-friendly single-use menstrual product, or any single use item. They can't be made of recycled materials, or unbleached natural materials due to sanitary issues. On top of that, they are, unfortunately, polluting by virtue of being single use and dispose. If the cups and underwear aren't fitting, maybe some sort of washable pad could be an alternative.
/r/MensRights16/08/22 11:58 PM
2

That doesn't mean they don't pollute. Bleaching the cotton to guarantee tampons/pads are sanitary pollutes, as indistrial bleaches are not natural. Pads and tampons are also often wrapped, also for sanitary reason, individually, increasing the amount of single-use waste they produce. Single use items pollute by default - even biodegradable ones, as opposed to items you can reuse for years, such as the menstrual cup, or menstruation underpants. Both of which could be distributed to anyone, just l…

Even though it may seem gross, I kinda thought it makes sense. Don't vaginal fluids contain pheromones which would be attractive to potential mates? Similar to how the male foreskin produces certain pheromones which make it attractive to potential mates. Am I missing something?

Not just psychological help, but also housing in a safe environment is offered to women only! The law literally discriminates against men and no one gives a fuck
/r/MensRights23/07/22 12:50 PM

That is a lie. Refer to 'Setviceloven', paragraph 109. there is a specific law which specifically only provides help in case of domestic violence ONLY to women. This also includes free counselling and psychological help, again, only to women. Abused men are forced to use the unfitting help available to people without housing, in case they need an escape.

I didn't extend anything. The original comment itself was coming from a premise of some part of the eye being removed by the parents of a child. The constant blurriness and/or loss of color vision are the potential, highly probable effects of a part of the eye being removed that woud be the first to go - the eyelids. The ireversible, even partial loss of some aspect of vision as a result of an eyelid being removed is analogous to being circumcised - which is equivalent to loss, even if partial, …

You mean the comment that also says: "Imagine if your parents let someone cut a part of your eyes when you were little. You can still see great, but everything is blurry, you can’t read text, you can’t identify faces." "Constant blurry vision isn't the same as being circumcised, because you use vision pretty much as long as…

It would only be different because the affected sense is sight and not sex. Just like having worse sight would be a result of the eyelid being removed, so is sex worse because the foreskin is removed. That plus all the discomfort of constant exposure.

The glans penis is exposed to outside stimuli because of the removal of the protective outer layer. Eyelids work exactly the same wayas the foreskin does. You don't use your eyes all the time - a third of the time they are closed, when you sleep. Plus, you blink constantly, without even noticing, in order to relubricate your eyes. Removing the eyelid would cause constant stimulation of the eye, and the inability to lubricate it the same way removing the foreskin causes constant stimulation to th…

Gay guy here. Of course, days long decomposed sweat, droplets of urine, lint, dust and dead skin cells will smell - but guess what, if you don't shower for a week, or even two days, your dick will smell unattractive even when you are cut. A clean, intact penis smells great and looks even better than one which is dried up and scarred. There are pheromones produced in the foreskin which make it smell attractive to potential mates.
