We have gaslighting on a societal level. Even if those statistics were true (they aren't), it really shows the dismissiveness of mens suffering: suicide rates, war deaths, workplace deaths, false allegations, matrimony, child support, forced parenthood...

If it was about equity the name of the movement wouldn't be gendered. Discrimination against men would be taken seriously. Feminism is NOT about equality
/r/AntiFeminists25/07/22 08:05 PM

Women, mostly. 83 cents of every dollar is spent for the benefit of women, and women work (on average) half as many hours of men. Society is a blatant matriarchy, with propaganda convincing people like you that there is some evil patriarchy to fight.
/r/AntiFeminists25/07/22 07:28 PM
1

You're not very well read. Evolutionarily, women were considered more important to a tribe's survival due to procreation reasons, which is the route source for men exclusively being used for dangerous work. Essentially, men were viewed as far more expendable. This has formed the basis for gender roles that exist to this day. Essentially yes, dangerous work is largely relegated to men because as a society we prioritize the safety of women.
/r/AntiFeminists25/07/22 07:25 PM
1

I love how you change the definition of patriarchy to suit your argument. It is, by definition, the concept that MEN are in charge of, and benefit from, society. It is exactly the same type of propaganda used by the Nazis

Intelligent retort
/r/AntiFeminists25/07/22 06:34 PM

If the power structure exploited both men and women, it wouldn't be referred to by a gendered term like the "patriarchy." You're proving my point. An arbitrary concept is invented and then used to demonize a group of society for political and economic gain.

Laws that suppress women: - selective services - alimony - child support - title IX evidence standards
/r/AntiFeminists24/07/22 05:22 PM
1

Nope, that's the matriarchy. The patriarchy is a propaganda term used to promulgate hate for political purposes...similar to the concept of "international jewery" and the "Jewish problem"
/r/AntiFeminists24/07/22 05:19 PM
1

The matriarchy forced men to die in war for the safety and comfort of women. The matriarchy shames men who aren't good providers, while saying "it's a woman's choice if she wants to stay home or work." It's the matriarchy that consistently supports women on issues even when men suffer the issue more, and tells men to suck it up. There is no patriarchy

Medication that shouldn't be approved. Totally for banning it. Lots of medicines are gender specific due to risk to the unborn. Glad these bans are finally in place, but we have more work to do.

Pay attention to sitcoms and commercials, almost always it's a guy messing up and a woman with the solution. Or look at workplace fatalities by gender. And look at actual hard data. For example feminists cite that only 8% of rape accusations are false. This was from an FBI study that found 8% had no basis for an initial investigation. Other studies found that when DNA was analyzed from a rape kit assessment, 40% of accusations were not only false, but the man hadn't had sex at all (consensually …

Men, on average, work twice as many hours than women per the bureau of labor statistics (https://www.bls.gov/charts/american-time-use/activity-by-sex.htm) Roughly 75% of custody and child support cases are ruled in favor of women per the US Census (https://www.census.gov/content/dam/Census/library/publications/2022/demo/p70-176.pdf) Do a search here for boy M and F and female results in roughly 10x the results (https://www.scholarships.com/) If you look at gender specific scholarships, 92 percen…

Your NAZI-esque rhetoric shows a complete ignorance of history. Also, the patriarchy: - "Women and children first" - Men earn less than women per hour in same career - women get lighter sentences for same crime - vast majority of scholarships are for women - women portrayed more positively in media - under reporting if female rapists and abusers - no consequence for false accusations by women - involuntary child support - increases suicide rates for men - only men register with selective service…

Yes but not due to any misguided views. Several studies have linked traditional roles to increased wellbeing for individuals, families, and offspring. Plus we treat those of opposite gender (fulfilling those roles as we fulfill ours) with respect and admiration.

The price is set based on the nature of the crime and the persons wealth. The idea is they don’t have to be kept in prison, but they won’t flee because the court is holding on to their money. People who can’t afford it usually pay a smaller fee for a bail bond. A bondsman will post the bail, and collect it back (plus their fee) when the person shows up at their court hearing. If the person doesn’t show, the bondsman loses all his money...so he will hire bounty hunters

My point is culture, morality, etc. is fluid. It’s wrong to automatically judge people in the past through the lenses of modern sensibilities. Certain cruelties, sure, they were wrong then as they are now - but social interactions...a pat on the butt might be sexual harassment now, but it might have legitimately been taken as flattery in the past.
/r/MensRights24/06/18 08:41 AM

This reflects the fallacy of conclusions based on applying today’s views to previous culture. Speaking from someone who volunteers with the elderly often, the VAST MAJORITY have no issues with how genders interacted in decades past.
