Guys will blame themselves and have the need to fix things or believe that if they can change themselves the woman will take them back. I’ve learned through many counseling sessions and deep talks with my STBXW that it’s not exclusively my fault and there is nothing I could have done differently or change moving forward that can fix the relationship. Sometime people just aren’t meant to be. The sooner he can understand this, the quicker he’ll bounce back.

That’s incredibly brave of you to accept her love given her intellectual inadequacies.

Agreeed, people that actually try to quantify or compare other people’s level of intelligence probably have a huge self esteem issue

Definitely cynical but worth analyzing all potential realities I guess. It’s obviously impossible to paint a full picture of our family dynamics and our relationship in a Reddit post but I truly do not seeing it happening that way… at least I hope

We intend to do 50:50, I was just referring to having a decent place for the kids when it’s my turn with them. Sorry for the lack of clarity

Strangly and honestly that’s one of the hardest parts to overcome for me right now but I know that’s reality

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
