Is this always true? Alien was fantastic, but Ripley was originally written for a male role until Sigourney Weaver auditioned.

You're right. It looks like the actual numbers are still higher for women. Based on that, society's primary focus should probably still be on helping women, regardless of how those numbers have changed in recent years.

Truth. Many of us have probably felt the exact same way at one point or another and know this example of madness is not so far away. The answer is to focus your anger into self-improvement and not to let it boil.

Interesting come-around. I'm curious, which apologetics were influential for you? How did they change your beliefs?

I agree with what you wrote, and I do think it has a place. Maybe my original comment was too harsh. However, I've seen the PUA crowd focus on changing beliefs for so many years, leading a lot of guys astray, that I think we need a different attitude at TRP. Our focus should be to improve yourself to the top 20% so you no longer need to pretend at all.

I really don't like the general sentiment here that changing your mindset will change reality. Men are NOT the prize. Only the top % of males can claim that. The rest of us --- disposable. Sure, emulating men more valuable than you by acting selective and expressing strong opinions may boost your confidence. It may even get you laid. But in the long run, your act becomes transparent to everyone. The red-pill solution we should be giving here is to raise your own value so that girls don't play fa…

Here's my problem with politics. You see an issue and you come to it with a certain gut feeling based on past experience. But you know that's not enough to argue your point, so you research. And in researching, you come to see there are a few holes in your understanding. So you read about the other side and what they believe to see if there is a way to patch up these holes. Now you do this for a few weeks, and all of a sudden you have no idea what you believe anymore. You could argue for either …

Not too surprising really. Colleges are a comparatively safe and fertile place for change to happen first.

Hey brother, it sounds like you're still not accepting reality yet, so don't kill yourself. You need to get yourself to a place where you see the world dispassionately first, not as a wishful idealist, but as a pragmatic realist. We can't change the world. We can only change ourselves. We all only have one short life and then our consciousness is gone. Blip. Done. Forever. If you're going to end it early, take the time to be sure it's the right decision. TRP doesn't have a monopoly on truth. As …

Well you just sound like me before I joined. I've been out of college now for a few years and still consider it one of the best decisions I've made. Maybe it's not for you but I feel your perspective of what it will be like is inaccurate. Parties were a minor part of the experience. There's another side to fraternities you're not seeing. To answer your question, everything is much easier and more abundant. You're in a higher-status position by being in a fraternity so girls and other opportuniti…

Your stereotypes are holding you back. There are all types of people in fraternities. Once you're in, you'll have no shortage of access to girls, friends, and positions of influence. You'll have more freedom to make your college experience whatever you want it to be. And you'll probably change anyway too. But the time window to join is somewhat short.

"TRP, without doubt, is mainstream within the more fun and exciting parts of society. However, it's not talked about directly." This is all that matters. If you go out enough, the stuff here is like oxygen. It just is. Well written my friend.

Good point on the size vs. diversity. Personally, I definitely don't agree with either, but I'm hesitant to label them as extremist as the word is politically loaded here. As for whether they should be stopped? The law is already capable of handling crimes. They don't threaten my lifestyle. So meh. If it makes them happy, I say let them live in their little communities with their crazy ideas. Over time it'll auto-correct, especially today with the Internet. I wonder though --- both of those exam…

My impression from vising Munich and Berlin and talking to people about politics and culture was that Germans were not all that different than the Americans from the north east. But I only have a few anecdotes to support that, and it's possible that just me being a visitor caused the conversations to be more about similarities than differences. That said, what people forget is how big the USA is compared to Germany and how ridiculous it is to compare the two. Germany is about the size of 2 or 3 …

I was in a fraternity. A big fraternity at a big party school. And I still don't trust your story. 1.) 8 kegs is way too fucking many for a social. Everyone knows girls don't prefer the beer anyway. 2.) 20% of the guys are getting 80% of the sex just like everywhere else. This brothel shit is an exaggeration. Blowjobs in the hallway and sex with doors open --- I've seen both, but it's a rarity and there was lots of alcohol involved. 3.) Showing non-alcoholic receipts at the All Greek Ball is jus…

The book recommended to me was 8 Minute Meditation. Meditation is the single biggest positive change I made in my life. I'm happier, more at peace, and more aware. But once you start, it's also easy to think "If I skip a day it'll be OK." And inevitably skipping a day leads to skipping more days until you're back to living stressed and reactive. But anyone can do 8 minutes. Check it out.

If you want balance, look anywhere else in society. The whole western world is comfortably deceived about male/female mating and interactions. Would suggest reading The Selfish Gene or The Red Queen if your mind is open to it.

This 'war' has been going on since life began. You come from the position of society imposing this war of the genders. We believe it's evolution at work. While we lumbering robots try to explain away the world using ideas, our genes are pulling the strings behind the scenes. TRP is about coming to terms with this and choosing the path that best fits your life, be it learning game, MGTOW, becoming alpha, avoiding marriage, whatever.

A fact is a fact. You can't argue with it. You can't deny it. It's not personal. It's not subject to disagreement. It just is. And if it leads anywhere, it leads to truth.

I would love to see more articles like this here. In David Deangelo's Advanced Series they talk a lot about evolutionary psychology and it's what first got me into the subject. Thanks for reminding me. Sex at Dawn and Richard Dawkin's Selfish Gene are also great reads if you like this sort of intersection of science and mating.

His point is good, but looking at the sex registry database for Seattle seems like a sketchy way to suggest an average rapist. A better way would be to just look at the statistics [1]. Rape does correlate with low income, and that's not at all unique to blacks or whites. [1] http://www.nmcsap.org/statistics.html

Yep agreed mate. Debate is good. Here's my main point. If you think our culture is too sexual and that it's causing more harm than good --- infidelity, qualities people look for in a mate, productivity, whatever --- then you should consider being pro-circumcision. There's been plenty of stories on TRP about men complaining about women sleeping around too much, either when young or once in a marriage causing divorce, so I think we could find some here that agree our culture is too sexualized. I j…

Ignoring the hyperbole, thanks for providing the links. I don't have time to read them all, but I did at a look at the first. The study shows that women who were circumcised have sex just as frequently as women who were not circumcised. The same is actually true of males (http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/753060). The study's conclusion is that you can't use reduced sexual activity as an argument for circumcision. I disagree. The study looked at one country, Nigeria. While circumcision within …

Should we not cut off the umbilical cord too because that would be mutilation? And of course it's involuntary --- the baby has no ability to make decisions. No way would anyone choose to have this operation themselves later in life simply out of fear. We as a society have to decide if this is good or bad. I'll take a shot. ... our world is already sexualized enough and it causes more misery than happiness. The last thing we need is more people slaves to their penis and vagina tingles.

I'm sensing a logical disconnect. If it were about power, why wouldn't the correct strategy for women would be to REWARD the men who give them power (do things for them) and PUNISH the men to take it away (not pay for meals, mistreat them)?

I was in a fraternity and dated a sorority girl for 2 years in college. We had a ton of fun, and you get to see a side of them that others don't. She was a great fuck too. No regrets. But every weekend we'd both be getting drunk at our own socials/parties, and things happened. It didn't end well, and I'm pretty jaded towards relationships now. I'd never date a sorority girl though if I wasn't in a fraternity myself, because the abundance of backup options sort of evens things out.

2nd'd. As a side, not answering questions directly in general tends to make conversations more interesting. Obviously you can take it too far, but notice how often script writers employ this in movies. It's also demonstrates subtle but real power by taking control of the conversation. It's good to be aware of these dynamics, but don't overthink them at the same time.

I'll shoot first. Eliminate political correctness I'd start a media campaign pointing out examples and making it look completely ridiculous. Every time a politician, TV show, or even in everyday conversation someone tried to be politically correct, I'd make disgust the automatic reaction. This media campaign would show how we aren't actually all the same, that we have different backgrounds, different values, different choices, and most of all that it's ok for us not to agree, because that's bett…

Tend to agree. I have gay friends and we get along fine. I'm open to outside perspectives here too. But TRP is fundamentally about male/female interactions and I just don't see it being that fruitful for either of us.

I tend to think of Blue Pill and Red Pill as ways of thinking, and Beta and Alpha as ways of behaving. Sometimes they align, sometimes not. Agree or disagree?

Red pill and blue pill are two models of viewing the way males and females interact, their motivations, expectations, and reasons for their behavior. Blue pill is the mainstream today, and it's an idealized world that doesn't actually exist. Red pill is about looking at facts and behavior to draw conclusion instead of how we wished the world worked. Almost everyone is raised blue pill in the west. However, many people have experiences showing that what we've been told by our parents, the media, …

No I agree but I think we're talking about different ideas. "Having game" to me means being able to build attraction in others. It's a positive thing. The "game" I'm talking about is the escalating back-and-forth underhanded attacks couples do to try to get the other person to bend to their will, without actually addressing the issues. For example: "If she flirts with a guy? Then I flirt with a girl." "If she doesn't call me back? Then I don't call her back for at least that long." "If she start…

Just want to clarify this. Flirting with other women may seem to work. If this is the first time you respond this way, she'll probably back down. However, I call this "gaming" the relationship, and the problem with turning your relationship into a game is she has moves too. Once you start playing, it's hard to stop. What happens when she stops backing down and instead starts to escalate? Now all of a sudden she starts pulling away and hanging out with her guy friends more. Do you do the same? Ho…

I disagree. This is passive aggressiveness and it fixes nothing and makes everyone unhappy. It's OK to flirt with other women, but not in reaction to her doing it. If she senses that, things will go south. I agree with you though about whether this girl is LTR material...

This is clearly disrespect and demands you take action. I have been in the same situation before. You don't want to be passive aggressive here, but you do want to do something. 1) Tell her there's something you need to talk to her about, and set a date and time (a day or two later) to talk about it. Girls know what this means. She will be nervous and wonder what it is. Don't talk much in the mean time. 2) Meet her at night at a safe place and sit down together. You need to feel calm and in power…

It sounds like you're doing it right. The teens and 20s are a time for so many firsts with others. 10 years later, this advice still works for me, for almost anything. Have an idea beforehand - read an article about how to kiss Trust your gut in the moment - you get an urge when the conversation goes quiet Reflect later - maybe she hesitated, or loved it. either way, take note The mindset you should have is a sort of vulnerable confidence. At 25, commands in texts have always worked well for me. Sometimes they'll turn it down, but you have a much better shot at it working. Learn the power of ignoring, yet being incredibly positive when you do engage. Always have the vibe of 'fun' at your age. Think parties, not dates.

You might be right, but in all my life I've never experienced a stronger bond than between my pledge brothers. That includes family. Maybe there are other ways to do it, but I haven't found any. I also think learning to depend on others sort of goes in the face of MGTOW. Makes me think we need more men's organizations to support each other in real life. Personally, I never enjoyed hazing others, but the social structure created isn't a bad thing. In fact, if you've never experienced it, I'd say …

Anyone else here join a fraternity? I went to a big state school, and never thought I would join one, but situations changed and I did. Pledging absolutely was a rite of passage. You're basically a bitch for 3 months, and it progressively gets more difficult and testing each week, until the very end which broke down almost everyone I saw go through the process. America has a center in politics between Democrats and Republicans, and the left and right is a way of putting ideas on each side. Left extends as far as communism, and right extends as far as fascism and monarchies, so when people talk about the left, it's sometimes an inference to communism (which yes is very unpopular) even though they're just talking about democrats.

TRP is much closer to Christianity's views of men and women than most people here realize, but there is still a big gap. The gap is that the Bible says there are worldly things and godly things. All this shit we have to deal with today as men --- feminism, hypergamy, divorces, etc. --- these are "worldly" problems. They stem from human nature. No matter how much we try, we can never eliminate those forces in the world because they're built into us. TRP knows this. Christians know this too. It's …

Yes, but I can imagine people might be more likely to notice and photograph the more attractive people and groups. Also, urbanites may be more attractive than countryfolk, or vice versa. We're supposed to be rational, so without studies, we shouldn't draw a conclusion from these pictures alone.

Are there any studies to show women have gained weight or are less attractive today than in 1969? I'm just questioning because these photos could easily be of more photogenic people, not of the women then on average. But yeah, picture #2 holy guacamole.

So let me get this right. You are in your 30s and have no job, no skills, no commitment, no ambition, no morals, dependent on a woman, and about to become a father who's children will look up to you. On top of that, you're trying to use TRP to justify it all. This is not TRP and if it is then I want no part in it.

You don't have to be the alpha when it's you and all your friends (although it helps), but you do have to be the alpha when it's just you and her. Also, social groups change all the time so you get plenty of chances. Finally, when you do have a group that you are the alpha of, milk it.
