Don't move out until you have an access schedule of some kind that is signed by both of you, and have begun the formal process. Many of us have experienced a situation where the wife becomes a nasty lying trickster as soon as the divorce begins. So you have to stop acting like this person a friend and see them a a litigant and accept that they may lie or manipulate things to get their way in court for more money and control. Don't be blindsided by that. Don't believe anything from her that's not…

Yes you should be there and make a recording to reference later. You will need to go over the lawyers performance with him. Strange that he does not want you to appear as that would make you seem more responsible.

I quit my job a year ago to be the full time parent to my girls, 6 and 10. I am in the process of getting full custody of them bc their mom is chronically ill with some mental issues and got herself forcibly evicted. Once I became the full time primary parent, I could no longer fulfill my job hours, so I quit and to my amazement I qualified for EI. I am trying to get a new job now though, that things are settled. But getting back into the job market has been stressful after being away for only a…

Kids won’t forget a person if they see them every 2 weeks. I used a trick to make the most of the time with them and between. I did things to prove to them that I was very reliable and they can count on me. A good example would be to make a promise to the child and keep the promise. Do it for mundane things that are simple, ice cream later that day, and remind them that it’s a promise fulfilled, and also make a promise of what going to happen the next weekend you’re together and really deliver o…

Ya, this is not the legal advice thread, so I can tell you to start stashing a little nest egg because she absolutely will get half of what's left over after the debts are subtracted from the assets. You married her.

I am 2 years into bitter divorce hell bc I had the same issue and pushed too hard for us to become swingers. I have actually ended 2 relationships this way. The reality is that some women are sluts, and we want to know them, but most woman, the vast majority are very boring and their appetite is very small. There are some fantasy couples that swing and the they have tons of wild sex, but people have to be wired for that sort of thing form a young age imo.

My suggestion is to hire an a la carte lawyer to do “piece work” advise and handle whatever serving and filing, proof reading and speaking for you in court. Avoid lawyers who want to communicate to your x and their lawyer. And try mediation.

Collect all your evidence, back up emails, put social networking on pause, start getting financial statements together, buy a laser printer/scanner. Sorry for your pain.

You’re definitely looking to get some accommodation from your employer. You just have to be straight with them and let them know the situation and how much relief it would give you to get a schedule that works for your custody situations. They can say no, but it’s worth asking. But no, it shouldn’t hurt your case for custody bc jobs can be lost and gained, but who has custody is a lifelong matter. For instance you don’t want the girl to be 13 with the wrong custody arrangements and you have not …

IMO doing the motion to dispense with her need for permission to vaccinate can be done unrepresented. Judge will sign that in a heartbeat. Also if you got a lawyer you might win cost award 50-100% if you show a bill of costs in the motion. Plenty of case law backing vaccines. To make a custody change, you need a good lawyer to change the custody situation without an impending emergency is a big fight, need a lot of evidence the kid is in danger. The likely thing is that would be talked down to t…

Courts have come down really hard on religious arguments used to make decisions on healthcare. There are even parents who are having their kids taken with protection orders because the parents refuse to use real medicine on their dying children. Given that Science and medicine is based on documentation and proof, and the court functions in a similar way, I expect her anti-vax arguments will be promptly shot down. You will NOT be forced to prove the efficacy of using vaccines in court as it's rec…

Take the kids, but also hire a lawyer right away to start the discussion with her about access schedule, so she's seeing the kids within a week or two. A couple of weeks of a parent not seeing a kid is nothing in family court.

In the realms of what people do to each other in divorce, talking to people in her circles or work people is a super low blow, probably harassment and will not work as you intend. Will likely backfire on you. Professional life is one thing, outside work relationships are not open for discussion or consideration at work. Outing a person at their workplace about infidelity definitely puts the spotlight on you as a creep.

You can be in a relationship soon after separation, but the person should be also divorced so you can get free legal advice and emotional from someone who’s been through it. You can’t talk about divorce all the time with them, but you can gather information on how court really works because lawyers are very misleading. If you date some 21 year old, they are going to be nervous and stand-off ish about your situation.

Confused how you have a court order to pay $1000 per month that does not schedule at time with the child. Is there a court order? If not, stop paying until there is an agreement about visitation.

Do you think your kids will say they prefer to live with her or with you? Who will end up being the primary parent/caregiver?

I lost friends during my marriage bc they were sick of my wife. And I lost more friends when we separated. So a double whammy.

Noting to be gained by confronting her. Could make a motion to end support but might cost more than it’s worth.

Wow that is totally bizarre. I am currently in family court against a mentally ill mother. She has asked for a new judge bc she thinks the one we had was prejudice. She has asked for the OCL children's lawyer to be replaced because she shares offices with her 2nd of 4 lawyers. Both requests were totally ignored. But she has not asked for the case to be moved to provincial court. Now I will stand by to see that. I can see that an application can be made in Superior court or Provincial court, but …

https://family.findlaw.com/paternity/what-is-malicious-mother-syndrome.html You can't think of this person as the love that you married. You have to realize that she has been taken over by this syndrome that affects home-makers who are heading into divorce. They have no income and so must fabricate stories to get money in the form of support for battered women, child support and spousal support, welfare etc. This is no longer a rational person, she is a lying money- crazed zombie that will destr…

Trytosurvive, it's really bad advice to tell someone that it's "best to leave" It's a very well known fact that the father must never just leave the matrimonial home. That is like rule #1. The reason being that the wife will change the locks and barricade herself into the home, claim abuse, call the cops, make up charges, demand child support, demand that all access has to be supervised etc. Leaving the home when a mother is having full blown "malicious mother syndrome" is like giving a hi-ball …

Just as we were about to separate, my wife started putting out the most crazy pornographic sex of our entire marriage. Just to mess with my mind. For 17 years she was so timid and so shy and acted like she didn’t know about sex. But the last two times we did it, probably the best of our entire marriage. Mainly because it was not love making at all, it was dirty angry fucking. I will never forget.

Ya, you think you have it bad now, try living in an expensive death grip with your former love. You’ll all the sudden be wishing for the time when you were merely sad.

That’s awesome. I may do that next time accept I had no idea where she went with them. Also I am going to let her think I am taking my lumps, when really I’m sort of happy when she’s in contempt of court. I may win full custody if she keeps it up.

Wife cleared out with the kids today, so I did not get my first court ordered visit. I had a hunch there would be trouble.
