Courts have come down really hard on religious arguments used to make decisions on healthcare. There are even parents who are having their kids taken with protection orders because the parents refuse to use real medicine on their dying children. Given that Science and medicine is based on documentation and proof, and the court functions in a similar way, I expect her anti-vax arguments will be promptly shot down. You will NOT be forced to prove the efficacy of using vaccines in court as it's recommended by Pediatricians and every fact based peer research done. There is even evidence now that Vaccines lower the rate of autism.

You need to file a motion "dispensing with the need for the Mother to approve of medical procedures" based on her beliefs that run counter to the preponderance of evidence that Vaccines do their job perfectly and save millions of lives every year.

I would 100% mediate and utilize that affair/religion devotion to it (when in her best interest only) aspect....

I wouldn't personally just get them vaccinated and then have to deal with the judge. Courts aren't usually a great place to do something first and ask permission later. Obviously, the kids will be vaccinated at that point, but vaccines need to be done multiple times frequently, and there are more than just MMR to be concerned with.

Another good reason to not cross the courts is because sometimes they need to look at your history when issues arise and having a clean history of following the agreement will work in your favor. An example is when my ex wife filed a claim that I wasn't reimbursing her for medical bills with the court, when she had never provided me with the receipts so I could actually reimburse her. The issue was worsened when the letter from the court informing me of her claim had an issue in the mail and was delivered 23 days after they sent it, but I only had 21 days to dispute her claim from the date they mailed it. I took the envelope and letter in and talked with them and explained that I had just now received the letter but still needed to dispute her claim, and they looked at the envelope which looked like it had been chewed on by gears, and then looked at my case history and said that everything seemed legitimate so they allowed me to dispute her claim and reversed the default finding on my case. This was pretty important, because in going through the receipts that she had provided to the courts I found that she was claiming she paid bills which I myself had paid. She also was missing bills that I had found she paid when I got account records from the health care providers, so I took all that information to the hearing and got the correct amount on record which I then paid. The default finding would have had me paying over $900 extra.

You have 50/50 custody, which means you also have 50/50 decision making power when it comes to religion as well as medical. If the two of you can't come to an agreement then the matter needs to be taken to the courts to decide what is in the best interest of the children. You can use her infidelity to show that her dedication to religion is not as important as she claims, you can state that you do not agree for your children to follow a religion that opposes vaccinations, and you can show the importance of vaccines for the safety of the children. I'm sure I could be wrong, but I can't imagine a court supporting her view that not vaccinating is in the best interest of the children.

Unless there is something in your orders that specifically says you cannot vaccinate them take them to the pediatrician and have them vaccinated.

I, personally would not waste time, money or energy raising/fighting this issue in court; no judge would rule against you. Getting vaccinated is the norm in the USA.

And: fuck her religion. Safety of kids comes first.
