I'm from Lebanon. Men do face many problems here; a dire lack of economic opportunities, little government assistance due to rampant corruption, potential for police brutality due to uncaring senior officials, and so on. I will say that third world countries do tend to have better community and family bonds compared to the economically oriented west. I noticed that women in Lebanon tend to value men more so than American women. Family members are also more willing to help out men in Lebanon due …

Isn't it the case that many Italian men don't work because of the poor economic opportunities that Italy is facing? I'm not familiar with their culture however. Maine has a culture of independence and it gets instilled in men and women. There's a slight inaccuracy here; women don't only see men as a match with his money. Women also value physical qualities in men, and the biggest being height. We know that only 14% of men on dating apps get matches and they are often the tallest. An independent …

This is a very important topic I believe, especially in this age of mass communication via the digital world. I read in a book called "No More Mr.Nice Guy", that as a man, other people s moods are not your responsibility. Without being cruel or apathetic, the sentiment helps you prioritize your needs without allowing emotional vampires take away from your health for their benefit. It's been tremendously beneficial for me as a recovering overthinker of other people's sentiments.

There's more to discussing the welfare of men than only economic systems. Misandry is a real issue. Your sentiment is an obstacle to addressing an elephant in the room that feminism, a widespread ideology, is fundamentally misandrist. And It's not nutjobs in twitters ranting that embody feminism,m.

Unless positive masculinity is pushed at the same time as positive femininity, in equal strength and detail, it goes straight to the bin.

Using a post made about men's welfare to covertly say "imagine how we (women) feel" is very manipulative and disingenuous.

But feminism is not a hate movement. Hatred need not be loud and aggressive. Could be subversive and passive. When a movement proclaims that masculinity is the ills of a society, and that men hold an inherent domination over women, such a movement cannot be benevolent. It's very disingenuous to assume modern feminism has the same austerity as the feminism of old.

I don't see the person you replied to as someone who views women as an enemy. Their comment only addressed feminism.

I don't women are an enemy, but I think a lot of them (at least in the west) have very toxic ideas. Just yesterday I saw on TikTok a reel mocking male weakness, saying that women are the real heroes of society whilst men just "opt out" when times get tough. The post had 700,000 likes. LIKES, not views. Sure, social media isn't a replication of reality. But the likes of the video are real human beings with real emotions and sentiments. I would never like a video that mocks women, because I think …

There's more than one type of traditionalist. Some old school lovers are pro women in the sense that they believe women should be a protected class due to their gentle and soft nature. Andrew takes a wildly different route. I suppose this is how you see history and the aesthetic of such a reminisce.

Evolution does not have care or empathy for the organism. It's even troublesome for us to refer to evolution as a sort of sentient noun; rather it's a collection of millions upon millions of biological micro-transactions over countless years. Such a process is apathetic of course.

But here's where it gets really sick. These men don’t just talk to women. They also talk to men as well, telling them they should be grateful to struggle, to consider themselves lucky for their miserable situation. They would tell little boys that they don't deserve love and respect compared to their female counterparts, that they should “man-up” instead. All so they could get a pat on the head from a gender who genuinely despise them. Many boomer men are like this.

In the same way that Karl Marx saw religion, bioessentialism is an opium of the people. I also don't believe that biology has the final say in human destiny. But do you believe it has no effect at all? When I debate a feminist, and I'm confronted with the annoyingly obvious questions such as: "Why are men more driven career wise than women? Is it because of indoctrination?" It's because as a function of evolution, men receive less love and societal support than women, as such they try to make so…

How would girls feel if a bunch of men got into a room and intellectualised what “positive femininity” is To be precise, it's the double standard that I'm referring to, not the "positivity" aspect. It's okay for genders to critique one another, so long as there isn't a clear trace of bias against one side of the equation. In this video it's a man giving his idea of positivity, thus the reverse situation would be if a woman idealized positive femininity, that's where I think your comment was a bi…

I think pornography is very harmful to men, it's an u realistic stimuli of sex and a harsh abuse of the body's dopamine system. As for sex work, I believe it should be decriminalized, it doesn't benefit anyone to have it illegal. Though, it's best to keep it a taboo; openness to sex often leads to animosity between men and women, and a gradual degradation of morals within a society.

Well... taking criticism is a skill. Men receiving less empathy than women over their lifetime develops thick skin which is more keen on stepping outside comfort zones of prolonged belief systems. You could sum it up by saying women are more agreeable and men are more disagreeable I think it's more complex than that; it's more so that women aren't interested in debating ideas and want to stay in their current position without moving a needle.

It differs to believe in standpoint theory and solipsism, to some extent. The former seeks to justify people's limit belief, whereas the latter grudgingly admits humanity's flaws but leaves room to minimize the ever-present gap between personal experience and objective truth. If an analogous example can be made that no human can actually see the back of their head without mirrors helping, then a case can be made for human limitation of his/her perception of objective truth. Agreeableness vs disa…

Correct. Would you say a woman has more pressure on the looks side of things? Example, an old and fat man can have success with dating and respect from society if he's rich enough. But an old and fat woman would be remembered as old and fat no matter how much money she has. I'm sure you can think of a plethora of examples beyond my point that confirms this.

Excellent point! One's involvement in inhumane beliefs eventually backfired onto him/her. Think, a billionaire lobbying for a libertarian ruling style suddenly goes bankrupt; his push for this ruling style will leave him with no safety net after his demise. Hmm, interesting point. It could be a bit of both; we humans are inherently experiencing reality for a singular standpoint that is bound by our physical bodies, as such a certain extent of self-centeredness is inevitable. Though you could argue that that has varying degrees from one person to another (think Putin vs Sanders). Tyrannical agreeableness, that reminds me of 1984, or maybe even animal farm. In my view, women's burden tends to be more so looks based. For example society would be far more repulsed by a woman's hairy legs compared to that on men. Conversely, men are more harshly judged on their intent to participate in society and more importantly their rank/tier in it. Your hard work may not be valued if it doesn't actually yield high value results. By "conservative" I don't mean the Maga "kick 'em all out" type conservatives. I meant the more modest communities like the Amish, Mormons, etc... more religious but still practice it in moderation. It's helpful advice because you can't change a woman; if she hates men, she hates men. It's better to meet women who have been taught and raised to be decent human beings, and I notice that being more commonly occurring in religious communities.

Sexism is seldom a zero-sum game. I can see validity in the notion that men and women must coexist in harmonious peace and equality for the long term sustainability of a society. From my observations, an unsuccessful man who has no problems getting dates is usually very tall or socially savvy. There certainly a case to be made about the necessities of survival. If our objective analysis should lead us to believe that the USA isn't going to be an egalitarian safety net of a society in our lifetime, then a step down from idealism and movement towards ruthless pragmatism can be seen as a form of productive adaptation rather than regretful degradation of morals.
