Wasn't a lot of it spawned by the fact that his first book stated he was born in Kenya, and so everyone latched onto that as proof he was hiding something (as opposed to just having a shitty editor)?

Your objections aren't to what I said, they are about how you have viewed PP historically. Which is literally what I said in my first comment. There's no "and the truth comes out" moment when it was the first goddamn thing I said. My objections to your claims arose after you replied to my initial statement that I wouldn't support them with a question based on a false premise. Good grief.

Right on their site it says the discounts come from insurance, medicaid, or state programs. It can cost zero dollars if you have those things applying to you, just like all their other birth control services. If they say they don't do it for free, I believe them. (here's an anecdotal story from another redditor who actually got his done there, and marvels at how cheap it was - only $618.)

Uh... PP doesn't do it for free. It costs up to $1000. If you're getting it for free from a PP, you either have insurance, medicaid, or some other state program that would work at another care provider.

It's an interesting way to think about it. The main flaw is that I don't think most people (certainly not most women) go into marriage seeing it as a contract involving, at least in part, guaranteed sex (or "my body is yours and yours is mine"). If both parties don't explicitly understand that in advance, it's not an honest contract.

Anecdotally, I've seen more feminists calling (seriously) for the removal of men from society than I have seen MRAs calling for legalized marital rape. The closest thing I can think of is a guy who I read that said marital rape was a non-existent thing, because the moment sex is denied (habitually and without good cause, that is) within a marriage, the marriage is over due to breech of contract, and so forcing yourself on her at that point would just be regular rape.
