I was not aware of that before. I just figured the affordable care act was universal healthcare. That just isn't right.

Can you please explain further or provide documentation of how the ACA is sexist? I'm at work so I couldn't read that article in full, but it seems to only address birth control. I guess I've just always been lucky enough to be able to afford condoms but I really do not have a problem with subsidized birth control for women, especially in a culture where so many fathers are not present after birth (whether by choice or not). Ultimately, (whether by the father's choice or not) women are burdened with the responsibility of raising and caring for the child. Also, condoms are something that either party can purchase and use on the spot, as of right now there is no male pill, so any actual medicine contraceptive would have to be female only. If a male pill hits the market and the ACA doesn't cover it, which i'm 99% sure it would, then I would better understand your stance.

Both of these are horrible. Why would I support PP? The government takes my money by threat of death and gives it to PP. Who cares what they use the money for. This seems like propaganda.

I am a MAN and I will take care of myself. I don't need the government to help me.

I think many of us would agree that Planned Parenthood is an important institution and it should be treated with respect, and funded. Those of us who for religious or other reasons oppose abortion can probably imagine that no woman seeking an abortion at PP is particularly thrilled about it, it's a last resort for her. And PP provides services to men as well.

How much of the government funding actually goes towards men's health? I would suspect the amount would be quite low or zero. Are you suggesting that if government funding were cut off and Planned Parenthood was forced to survive on charitable contributions and fees, they would eliminate health care services for men instead of using a portion of the charitable contributions to provide services to all including men?

I don't think Planned Parenthood consults a man before aborting his child. If anything, we should support defunding them then men and women will have equal accesses to abortion, none.

I dont think the threats to PP are real.

The american electorate is quite frankly being conditioned to be stupid.

Thats why come election time, they can be manipulated into fighting about PP or the meaning of lipstick on a pig and political discussions will revolve around this nonsense instead of bailouts , the economy and war.

I really don't think PP is under threat, anyone with half a brain knows that modern societies need cheap family planning.

Nope. Plenty of other places to get those services than a disreputable organization like PP.
