I totally agree with you on just about everything you've said. I guess I'm really just questioning OP's claim that masturbation raises estrogen and cortisol levels while sex lowers them. I could see how the physical contact in sex could have some effects on your hormones, but I don't see the difference between masturbation and sex being as drastic as OP made it sound. With all that said, I'm totally with you on refraining from masturbation. In my own experience and forgetting any scientific back…

Are you sure you're in ketosis? You can buy products that test your blood if you are unsure. Your strength levels can diminish when you first start, but this is when you probably want to ask yourself what your goals in the gym are. Do you want to be as strong as possible? Do you want to be as lean and muscular looking as possible? Usually, any time you're losing weight or in a caloric deficit, it's pretty hard to maintain or increase strength unless you are a beginner. Another thing to remember …

You should either go full on Keto, which I believe is a fantastic way to optimize your test levels and raise your libido naturally, or you should stick to a more moderate diet with more carbs and a little less fat. A diet that is borderline Keto, is just asking to result in low energy. I've found out for myself that if I'm low on carbs (50-100grams a day) but not actually in Ketosis, then I feel like complete garbage. This is also the case for the first week or two trying to get into Ketosis. Ke…

Why would you avoid fat from meats? As long as the meat is high quality I see no reason to avoid it. That doesn't mean you can eat as much animal fat as you can fit down your throat, but I don't see why you would avoid it. I do need to emphasize that your meat needs to be high quality! Burgers from Mcdonalds are not high quality!

These are all great ideas and I understand where you guys are coming from. What I'm asking though, is if there are any scientific studies that back these theories up? I agree that we probably ejaculate more than what our bodies have evolved to do so. I also, totally agree that masturbation and porn can become addictive and be a problem. But, this doesn't mean that masturbation raises cortisol and estrogen levels. It might, but it might not. That's why I was asking if there were any actual studie…

I would exhaust all other options to improve my sleep before going to the doc for a sleep aid. And even then, I probably wouldn't use sleeping medications. Supplementing Magnesium can help calm your nervous system to get to bed at night. Try distancing yourself from electronics at least 30 min before going to bed. TV, phone and computer screens stimulate your eyes and brain and aren't good for your sleep. Make sure your room is cool (65-68 degrees Fahrenheit) and dark as can be! Also, if you hav…

How is your sleep? Sleep is very important, especially if you are training hard. You have to remember, the work you put in the weight room is only the stimulus. The recovery is the part where you actually get stronger. Make sure you are recovering properly!

Keep doing what you're doing! You mentioned that you've done all this in the last 4 months. That's really not a long time. Just keep trying to get a little better every day. Lift a little harder in each workout. Eat a little better every day. Learn a little more every day. The physical changes will start to slow down but this is where you have to stay consistent with your diet and workout routine. Eventually, your hormone levels will get to where you want them. Unless you want to take drugs, the…

Great Post! There is lots of great information in here and it's obvious you have experienced all this first hand, so thanks for sharing. The thing I want to ask you about is the part that you wrote in bold, "Masturbation, increases cortisol and estrogen levels". Has there been studies done that prove this to be true? If so, where can I find them? Or is this just a conclusion that you have come to by yourself by paying attention to your own body? Also, could it be possible that masturbation doesn…
