Get a attorney, also it's a hell no.

I went through the same with my family. They said the normal amount we talk about is once a month. I realized I can't expect more out of people if I don't communicate this out. Have you found a counselor or support group. Some insurance policies cover mental health therapy, I would encourage you to try something to rationalize your feelings and get you to accept the loss in a healthy way.

Is them checking in normal or has their behavior not changed and your expectations have. People get busy with life. hope fully you find peace soon.

It's funny, the divorce reddit has this as a tip, shut up have your attorneys request a on the spot drug test and document everything they communicate.

Man up, that's all you can do. Fill your time with healthy activities hit the gym. Go to church, take up fishing or hiking. It a really painful situation but luckily your not tied because of a kid, she was honest. Nothing is going to stop the pain. Your just going to become strong minded enough that you learn to not lament on the past. Appreciate the experience move on with life. Believe me gym or church will get you people who care about your well being. Don't date until your not thinking about…

You need to keep control of everything of value, have her leave for a new boyfriend house parents, friends what ever, don't be nice woman will destroy you. Your life will suck but at least you will have your house.

My judge failed to even listen to the debt or fraud of my ex-wife taking over the rental home. Also she had her attorney draft the divorce decree. So lots of uncovered terms not agreed on 220 days to refinance my house, no debt split , all pets to her .
/r/Divorce_Men11/10/25 03:32 AM

It's suicide, the judge at trial ignored everything, failed to even follow her own orders and her attorney asked I pay legal fees
/r/Divorce_Men11/10/25 12:47 AM

Seriously horrible counsel, why is he making there arguments. Did you go with the cheapest you could afford? Your attorneys will lose or win you the case. Mine just burned 20k in 5 years to step out before trial

It's a sad state your not legally insane, I had a friend who was and his brother was the executive of his estate. His wife after a year moved out and left him alone in the home. His brother on his behalf filed the separation and following divorce paperwork. Wife took 1/3 of property but house was his. On the upside 4 years after the divorce he was back to his usual self. California will destroy you.

Your dealing with people, they get burned out too. Look at how much time you will lose with your kid, your assets are gone after divorce. I would set up to have couple counseling. If you're not being disrespected or unloved work it out. Depts are a part of life. How often do you put in the effort or does she put in the effort for the little things to show your importance or a team. If possible set up a strategy to "divorce in filling only" have her declare bankruptcy. And work to get her nursing…

Don't leave, write up a detailed debt list, stay in the house have her move out. Get a good messaging tracking app. They will claim false abuse and ruin you.
/r/Divorce_Men27/08/25 09:18 PM

If possible get her to sign a quit claim deed asap and sell the house to a llc. Away from your name.
/r/Divorce_Men26/08/25 06:00 PM

She will file a protective order, claiming abuse. Set unreasonable custody times or refuse you visits, get family 360 or any other tracking and messaging app. Keep impeccable records of the communication. Visits attempts. Your house is gone, your assets are gone. You're a man be prepared to lose everything. Mostly because an attorney will over bill. Your main focus should be making sure you get your kids into a good place mentally and financially.

He is getting his money from his retirement account, not bank, often they go of banking history and discovery. Often if your llc is not in the state your in your golden to hide assets family court is not the IRS. They don't dig deep.
/r/Divorce_Men19/08/25 03:29 PM
1

Have a llc started , buy a second llc with the first, send all the money into a llc bank set up for a mortgage. Rent the home from the llc and that should cover your mortgage. Keep all documents away from your home, office and emails. Or Buy Bitcoins. Wait till after divorce.

You can incorporate for tax benefits. But yeah marriage is in large a bet that she will get it all if one day she's not into you.

Be accountable, your language of just talking circles. May mean nuance gets lost or communication style is off. There's a lot of books or strategies for communicating. If you love her and hopefully she loves you. It's critical that you don't be dismissive. Make her understand she's your best friend, don't make it about sex, make it about the entire relationship. Sex is awesome when love is there but it's 1 percent of a relationship when everything is good. Also look at what stress or mental issu…

It was a new low, especially since she had agreed that after she got a job, we had waited for a cool down period of a year if I still felt the same we could divorce. I did not like who she was before service, but afterwards I understand why spouses are always the first suspect in a murder investigation. I'm just glad for the most part it's over. She still stalks me. We have no a no contact because the judge would not hear the protection order.

There is no silver bullet. Often female judges get into family law because of spite. Seriously being a man is being at peace with bullshit. It's a huge interest in mental health to have the ability to provide for people who would never do the same for you. I think the biggest thing is being mentally strong to set boundaries, not lament on past things and accepting accountability for sticking your dick in crazy.

She poisoned my dog, destroyed my clothes and cars. Hopefully you have a rational person but if you did not beforehand move family heirlooms out into safe keeping remember it's just stuff. Peace is truly priceless.

Brother you all are ripping there life apart, the best advice is don't be the toxic one. Wile your wife is drama. Keep them at the highest priority. Hopefully life and time with them is long and frequent. But people analyze life and it's events later in time. If financially possible get them therapy to help them cope with emotions they mite not be ready for.

The problem comes that you need to get federal agents involved especially when cops, or judges are corrupt.
/r/Divorce_Men16/03/25 04:32 AM

Yes, they said it would be best if she did not drive wile emotional. I told them then arrest her.

Seriously it's why ring indoor cameras make sense. California cops are supposed to be neutral but my run in with them had them asking me to leave her at my apartment, I explained she has her own place.

Kinda, "I normally would ask hi I noticed you are really into that book, care to talk about it over coffee, if now is not a good time I could buy us each a copy. I'm really looking for something interesting" then sign the recipient with your number inside the book. Works 2 of 3 times. Also you get something to talk about .

Now if cops would actually believe that a woman is being abusive things could actually be improved

So dating apps don't make money if you find someone soon. They are literally honey pots unless you buy the ultra premium versions. Bro go to barns and nobles and buy a girl a book and coffee. See if she don't perk up more than a girl at a bar or a bot on a dating sight.

Seriously that's what life is about do the things that make you happy. Your ex nagging at your happyness for Cookies reminds me of the joke why do women close their eyes during sex, they can't stand to see a man happy.

You finished something, it's often something extremely stressful. Your probably feeling emotions you did not allow your self to feel wile getting stuff done. It's normal, cry for a day get it out and get back to getting at what ever makes you and your kids happy.

Reading between the lines, you posted about infidelity. Called it infidelity after you had filled. The filling is the formal process of being separate people not agreeing to be anything. Believe me learn to let it go. Find ways to truly not care if a pack of dogs does her.
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 09:15 PM

Let that ego die, females always have options lined up. It's incredible how many married woman admit to infidelity. Make peace with the past and don't lament. There's nothing healthy coming from understand why a snake acts like a snake. Just move on. Get into what you love to do. Do everything in your life to bring in peace. Believe me my "best childhood friend" was that guy who my ex cheated with. There alot of lessons I could learn with out having painful thoughts in my head. Unless it changes…

Well the house will be lost, you will either buy her out or be ordered to sell it. clean up your house of your most precious belongings into storage. If possible fake a donation to a thrift shop of the stuff you really care about. To hide it away. I lost a lot of my family heirlooms because she became violent and distroyed my stuff, she eventually killed my dog.
/r/Divorce_Men03/02/25 04:40 PM

This is not about a150 dollar kids hair cut, she wants to have something to flaunt in front of the judge. Suggest she put more effort into being dependent.
/r/Divorce_Men25/01/25 11:21 PM
1

Get your kid the best mental health care you can afford, divorce is hell on them and you. My biggest advice is take all sentimental valuables out of the house into a storage you control and is not on your bank records. Say your going to clean the house up. Also take incredible documentation, pictures, video, text, emails. It would be a shame if you where to sell your house to buy a bigger one then lose all the money gambling.
/r/Divorce_Men20/01/25 03:39 AM
2

custody is about who holds the better interest of a child, often times mothers use kids' for a child support payoff. give all the energy to the kid, divorce is hell. they will lie at every step
/r/Divorce_Men20/01/25 02:27 AM

It's a sad day only if you let it, learn to not care about the date and celebrate every moment you get with your kids. Honestly meditating and praying have got me into a good mindset of appreciating everything I still do have.

Move all assets away from your name for a year. Hire a good attorney.
/r/Divorce_Men04/12/24 03:20 PM
2

You will bounce back in 5 years, it's never 50/50, you will get 30% if you have a fair judge. The attorney fees will kill you. A lot of horrible attorney looking to drag things out for years. Sell the house now. Split equity in half. Pay of debt.
/r/Divorce_Men06/11/24 03:13 PM
1

Yeah, that's why it came as no surprise. the case number on the woman's protection order made me talk with her. I take things with a grain of salt but seriously she got the same treatment I did lost everything because spouse took out financials. Used to hire attorneys.
/r/Divorce_Men30/10/24 02:57 PM

It's sad to hear that you made a terrible mistake and used the money of the house to invest in the stock market. LOST ALL THE MONEY. Had to transfer the title of the car to your mom's name because you still owe money. Sad. you should let your wife know so she can forgive you.

Cops here seem to be on a mission to not get involved. My ex SA me, smashed my windows, torched my clothes and killed my dog Plano PD, said it was a civil mater and I don't have enough evidence for The SA.

I do Ironically, don't feel the need to get drunk now that I'm away from that woman. It made me have more time for church, my pastor is very supportive. I rely do feel there is something demonic about family court judges, there was a woman who had been beaten during children's exchange and that judge did not grant the protective order.

My wife got 100% 469th judge will not enforce the sale of the home in my sole name in Texas. I have proof all her claims are false and she was infact the fault for the divorce with her constant poly lifestyle.

Prenup is protecting the exit. This 50 k is over your livable wage. Explain that, if she's making 80 a long with 50 and your left with 30 you are SOL. A fair alimony would maintain the way of life, house, car and food. Not exceed it. This is bad but good thing you are not married. Negotiate to something reasonable for both.
/r/Divorce_Men02/10/24 07:50 PM

Well go see legal aid of the court your divorce happened, get a hearing set for motion for enforcement. Especially if it's about your kids.

8moths to 2 years of paying support, waiting for a appeal case hearing. plus for my crape case a appellant attorney wanted 20k retainer and 900 hour rate said possible to get to 60k at court cost expense. this guy was low rung another one quoted a 52k retainer at 1200 a hour rate and would not say what the finale cost could possibly be.

That's the bad part I'm 35 I keep being talked to by girls that look barely 18 or woman that look like there 60. Idk if the the college town I live in. I would want someone near my age mid 20s high 30s. I'm sure when I'm ready to date it will be like hunting season, not see a single deer. Off season they eat out my trash cans.

Idk when I will be good to date, it's odd I have been at stores and get women talking to me, I can't tell if flirting or just board people. I'm by no way a good looking guy I'm 6ft 350 lbs. It sucks to hear apps suck. But in general any 35_40yo woman is going to have issues.

All assets 50/50 believe me you can lose 100% and have spouses support, child support. I even lost a service animal.

Make the prenup 50/50, settle custody as the more financially fit percent and all suits disputing prenup shall be paid by the party that files suit. It's a simple thing to care for the person. Also it's available to not Mary anyone you 100% know you can't trust.

Do you have a church or fellowship hall you can join. This has helped me a lot with my divorce, gives routine to a hectic life.
/r/Divorce_Men05/09/24 11:22 PM

It's a deal breaker with the kids thing you will always resent her. Everything else is manageable. You two sound toxic. It may be helpful to get group therapy. If you go to church this might be a better avenue to reconnect.

I hope you are able to get therapy. There's a lot of things you need to work that pain into. Rebuild yourself and don't soke into sad thoughts. Keep busy. Keep being grateful to be alive. Be selfless for your kids sake. If intimacy is the issue there's a lot of work for the trust to return. But honestly if it gets lost it speaks more on personal issues from both of you. It takes constant effort and work to keep a relationship good.

I'm not saying abandon your kid, also Australia has work visas especially for US and UK to work in the mines. It's hard work but you can get 8,000 a week and spend next to nothing if you don't drink alcohol or smoke. Wile your there. Also having a good amount saved up can get you a good attorney. or a house

But seriously if you can fill your life with positive activities, things your children can be proud of you for. I know mentally it's difficult but place your time into hobbies that can take your mind to a peaceful place. For me it was going back to church. Not at all I can strongly call my judge a garbage person. 17k. I requested 5 family heirlooms my gun safe and my dog. She requested the house, dogs atterny cost. Judge awarded all debt to me, no dog 3 of the 5 heirlooms, ex sold off valuable stuff, destroyed everything else. Failed the time to exchange judge granted her more time, failed to impose sanctions for her actions.

You can't afford bars, do you how much a false charge or pregnancy/false paternity will cost you? Handle it, work on yourself to be a better man during no nut November.

11k is not a issue, if spent on living expenses, hold it back till after the trial or give it to your attorney for a retainer. Please follow through with pressing charges my judge said it must have not been bad for you if there are no charges. Mine was mental and sexyaly abusive my biggest regret is not pressing charges .

yeah, my mental was in a horrible place. I lost a lot in the divorce but my character. I have spent the time to work on my mental, its rely humbling to lose everything but inspirational to still be joyful and understand its the price to be rid of a toxic relationship.

Your life is not over, I'm going true the same. Sleeping in the car is seriously horrible sleep/health wise. If possible see about getting into a group home or shelter. Your 50 that's the time to find yourself and focuse on the good in your life. Divorce does not define your life it's just a chapter. You will amazed by the strength and what it takes to truly find joy in your life.

It's a process with therapy. Unfortunately there's no quick fix. Some coping mechanism are horrible latter down the road. Also the sex of the therapist has nothing to do. I have had good mix of good and bad ones. I really would go to the gym, run and build a friend's group. It's seriously more important that you remake yourself into something you can be proud of.

Hey group therapy is cheaper, it's about building a community and feeling like you got something off your chest sometimes it's all it does.
