This is stupid. You are in the bargaining stages of grief that the romance you saw on TV does not exist. Just don't get legally married. Commonlaw barely still exists in the US and in the places it does, it usually takes a lot more than just living together.

People get mad at me but I feel precisely this way. "That woman was hitting on you! How do you keep doing that? Why don't you ever get their numbers?" I dunno, maybe I just don't need all the bitching, demands, and lies? I swear I wouldn't even mind being divorced if other men would leave me the hell alone about it.

I reside in reality. I am not a resident of whatever lala-land she resides in. As I do not exist there, it would be impossible for her to think of me.

"Yeah cool story, that probably sounds better than admitting she slept with her boss."

No, it's not worth it. I did some things just because society wanted me to, like getting married and highly educated, even though I was aware of the risks and preferred something different. Mathematically, there is little possible benefit. Most adults don't understand marginal tax brackets, so don't listen when they tell you massive tax breaks. Giving her a ring doesn't prove you love her, it proves you're susceptible to marketing and propaganda. If she loved and trusted you she wouldn't demand …

You have stockholm syndrome. Why would you want to be with someone who would destroy her family - your family? Why her? When I was younger, I had the hottest girl around. Everyone was jealous because you don't see a girl like her every day. She would be on her best behavior whenever I was around for the first few years, but she was actually kind of a terrible person when I wasn't watching and towards the end when she stopped caring. Sometimes family ask if I miss her (but not about my more avera…

Mine just spent my money paying her family's bills and kept giving away the few items I actually used from our house full of junk. Any cards were done by me, though she might help fill them out or mail them with massive complaints. Half the time she'd switch the mailing and return addresses and mail stuff to herself so it's not even worth having her help.

Women are easily influenced by those around them. Nearly all behave that way given time, unless somehow isolated from society.

I work more hours and make more money and just save and invest. Will I find a woman worth my attention? Will we have kids that need me to provide? Not sure, but I'll be prepared. I keep working for an imaginary family. Worst case, I give up and buy a Ferrari.

Imagine you have been given everything all your life. You're constantly told that you are a perfect angel and anyone who disagrees with you is viciously attacked by all those around unless you deign to grant them clemency. Some dirty serf appears and dares make a demand of you. Don't they know who you are? How dare they shirk their duties to you while they stand there, looking you in the eye and make even more demands. GET BACK IN YOUR PLACE, SLAVE. This is what it is to be a woman in a western …

As far as I can tell, basically all activities which are performed by a woman claiming "emotional abuse" are actually things that would be considered abuse if a man did them. I caused a marriage counselor with advanced degrees in psychology to hired by the wife to have a screaming mental breakdown when I first explained a problem with the roles reversed, then pointed out it was actually her doing the thing they were scolding me for.

Have you tried directly telling her that's a problem she should take up with her husband, and remind her that is not you anymore? Mine was contacting me and that pretty much solved it. She doesn't have a man, so it was basically a polite no that is also a sick burn with plausible deniability.

Why would you even waste the time? You don't really understand women if you think constantly needling her about her affair will affect her.

The answer to what the men did is easy: The men had fewer resources than she felt she could obtain elsewhere.

By creating extra tasks that don't need to be done you can create what the feminists call "mental load." This is necessary to rationalize how screwing around watching youtube all day while your husband works 12+ hour days then comes home to do all the cleaning, chores, yard work, and house repair is actually the woman doing all the work for the big manbaby husband.

We wouldn't date anyway because you're a divorced woman who claims to be physically abused. I wouldn't tell you to your face that's why, but I don't ever believe women who claim to be abused for my own safety. All my exes claim to be abused, because it's more socially acceptable than "I got dumped for fucking another guy for a stupid reason like 'he's 1 inch taller than you'". I am not joking that was one of the reasons given. A couple women I rejected and refused to touch have also made false c…

Your view is more charitable than mine. The strategy is just a rationalization to sleep around with men who won't commit and place unreasonable demands on those who will.

Right, play it safe with me, not for everyone else you've slept with. I understand, and thus choose not to invest in such women. I might take them on more expensive dates if they are reasonably pleasant and it's something I want to do, then still ditch them when I find someone who actually likes me.

You already said you only usually don't kiss on the first date, so which is it? Somehow I suspect your exhusband is not the only man you've been in bed with. Just because you treat them all the same NOW doesn't imply anything about what you did before (also I don't believe you, the women who get super indignant when I say dumb stuff like "I bet you say that to all the guys" are invariably getting around the most). I still haven't managed to run into these "take me on x number really expensive da…

I don't think everyone is using crazy strategies, but it's for sure more prevalent with women using apps and it's good to be aware the garbage advice some women are taking so you can quickly identify them as not relationship material.

Social media dating coach nonsense for spinsters. Don't sleep with him for 12 dates to prove he's serious, but keep sleeping with other guys if you want. Those "dating coaches" are the women's equivalent of a "pickup artist." It's playing games.

You don't see how it's considered a bit disrespectful that you'll "get pumped and dumped all the time" then expect another guy to wait, pay, and commit? I can get hookups if I so desire (I don't), but I somewhat understand the perspective of guys who can't due to having worked for my money. From my perspective women following these dating coaches have so much disdain for me that you are trying to charge me a million dollars for affection you'll give for free to anyone else. Bleh. No thanks, have…

What are the names of these coaches? I've been reading some dating advice for women specifically to identify common threads and try to determine if women I meet are following that sort of stuff so I can DQ them from commitment more easily. If I ever meet someone following the "12-date rule" for example, she's not getting a call back after date 12.

It's not about sharing the story. The point was that, to myself and most other men, the idea of trying to steal your wife's assets is so far off the radar that your story effectively has no moral. Your sister got away with more money, which if we are to believe you, was hers. Assuming she pulled her weight in the marriage (a bit of a stretch with most modern women but let's assume,) then most men wouldn't care that she got away with money that was always hers.

"So basically what you're saying is..." followed by something with zero logical connection whatsoever to the other person's argument, which you keep doing here, is a feminine argumentation style.

Step 1: Twist my statement away from the fact that you think like a woman and consider not stealing someone else's money a loss Step 2: Accuse me of twisting things Step 3: Try "you'll never get a girl" on a man in a divorced men's sub. That doesn't even make sense to a divorced man, plus only women or very desperate men think that's an insult to anyone. You don't even have the self awareness to understand your own mindset is completely different from a man's.

You are either a woman or a man who acts like one. Your cautionary tale can be rephrased as "If you hide assets so she can't steal them, you may not be able to steal her dad's money." Only a woman would consider the inability to steal from her partner's family a consequence. This is how I know you are a woman.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
