That being said, it's terribly written.

Are you kidding me? This comment set me on edge. Jennifer Texas This column really highlights why gender equity is better for both genders. Everyone loses when we get put in boxes based on what is under our undies. However, I think Mom's still get the short end of the stick on this issue. Not getting called by the pre-school is irritating, being chronically underpaid and excluded from promotion in a job setting because you are a "Mom" is much worse. When I'm watching my son, I'm just doing my jo…

Not in the talk we received.

Was actually at the Israeli Embassy the other day listening to a talk. They're starting to phase women into combat situations.

Here's an image of the print version where they pull out one sentence.

Compare that to what I actually wrote: Google Doc Link

Done. It is going to a print edition hopefully, so they might include it, they might not.

Sure, but that's later in the relationship. First date? Go dutch. Second? You pick up the tab with the understanding that they'll pitch in either next time or get dessert or something of the like. Once it's a legitimate relationship and you're dating, that's when it becomes less quid pro quo and more of a feel thing. The same can be said for friends. When I go out with my best friend and I'm short on cash he'll cover for me know full well that if it were the opposite I would cover for him. It al…

You know, for the first three I don't have a problem with. It's the 4th one. What context are they using "owed?" Sexual favours? Probably not. Her buying next time? Damn straight. It needs some clarification.

Sorry, can't do that. I've been a redditor longer than you. I was here first.

They have other posters in the residence halls too. I'll bring one in to work and show you.

I'll have to get a picture of the ones we have. I'm over at AU and we have posters that have a similar message.

BTW, welcome to reddit. I hope my venting doesn't scare you off.

But it never mentions that. It never mentions breast cancer, it never mentions awareness. It mentions the quote "Let's see how powerful we women really are!!!" That to me isn't awareness, that's completely something different.

Now you're not wrong good sir. Inf act you are quite correct... But what relevance does your highly thought out and passionate rant have to this link?

The only person you have to worry about in Miami is Dexter. And that's only if you're a killer.

American University recently went through a big uproar around last October about this. A Womans Resource Center was being built on campus. AU adds resource centers - Nov 1, 2009 Well this didn't go over well with me and a few others. Why are we building a WRC when we're just giving veterans a "resource network?" The main argument against the WRC was that there was already a club devoted to it, Woman's Initiative. Not to mention all the services available at the WRC were already present on campus…

I don't doubt it, but with being something around 60% female and the most politically active campus in the nation, it's more than normal. Compared to where my brother goes to school and the other DC schools, we seem to take the cake.

Oh, I understand that. I'm just telling you from my experience attending AU, that's how it is.

Sadly, this kind of behaviour is par for the course at AU. Crazed feminists who don't think about their actions, and greek frat boys who get drunk and think they're king of the world. Both groups are a significant portion of the population, much to chagrin.

I do too, and that's what pissed me off about this. Whether he's right or not (and I think he makes some very valid points) it's no reason to act like this.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
