I’m not leading and I’m not holding my frame. Something that I’m still working on as well - separating from her emotional state. Being happy when she’s not pleasant. The only thing I can offer here is what helped me - I try to detach and see the situation objectively. Is she being unreasonably rude to me or someone else? I’ll call her out, but do it with a grin. If she tries to argue by rationalizing I don’t engage. If you argue, she wins. I know you may, like me, fancy yourself able to talk and…

As others have echoed, 5 hours during these formative years (14-18) won’t bode well. You mention finance in college and then law school. No need to hit absolutely all of those in clubs just yet. Internship is great, FBLA is great if you’re active in it and have stuff to put on applications. Study finance in college and at that time, look for ways to explore law.

If I were you, I’d find a way to get to bed early enough to do rowing. The gains are real. If you have such a packed schedule that you can’t get to sleep before 10 pm, maybe it’s not the best idea to pick up another activity.

Approach new girls, introduce yourself as Brigham and ask if she'd like to be your third wife, gesturing to your two friends. Foolproof. The worst thing you can do is hang around your friends all night, inevitably listening to them harp about stuff you don't care about, holding their purses, and buying them drinks. Go have fun, approach new people, and rest easy in the fact that unlike going out solo, you've got a home base to head back to / bring girls back to with instant social proof.

Can't tell if you're a low effort troll or not. That study has been debunked multiple times. Sounds like you're looking for an excuse to be a lazy fuck.

Well it was still pretty rough - I was basically up the whole time from 9-1 and she almost the whole time from 1-5 but it felt better than passive aggressively trying to figure out who's going to get him.

Nothing makes me want to get up and get shit done like listening to podcast or reading a chapter from Jocko.

Interesting take - the part of me who loves reading about Theodore Roosevelt and more recently Jocko Willink likes the idea but I’m concerned with the implications at the gym and in my hormones.

Thanks for the insight - I’m going to suggest a schedule like this to my wife for tonight. I can take 9-1 or something and she can have 1-5 or thereabouts. It is rough - and yeah, mostly breastfeeding with some bottles here and there.

Simplest answer is abs without being skeletor. So a reasonable level of muscle with clearly visible abs. Right now for me that means cutting. Longer term, visible abs with a larger upper body. I try not to put too much stock in certain bodyfat numbers at certain weights. It's fun to estimate but at the end of the day you look how you look, and that's what your wife is going to care about. Even women who claim to not be vain will surely act very differently around a muscular male with low body fa…

Maybe I just need to get in better shape. Being bigger and more cut seems to solve most of life's problems. If I weren't telling her what to do all the time, she'd be falling on her face constantly... ...Demand thanks? Delegate for now and take a moment to appreciate her following your direction. Some posters here aren't that far along. Don't seek her approval/acknowledgment for your hard work.

I just got quiet and let her keep holding court. For an hour. Tough situation - it's hard to handle that without coming off as butthurt or attention seeking. Did you have an option to go talk to other people at the party in the meantime, or was it literally that she was the center of the whole party's attention for an hour? 20 seconds all out, 10 seconds rest, for 8 sets, total 4 minutes. Active recovery for two minutes. Then another set of 20/10s x8. You're a madman for chaining together Tabata…

You're aware of what needs work, get to it. Reframe your journey as for yourself and no one else. Be open, warm, and fun if that's what you want your wife to be. How are you measuring bodyfat? Consider getting to 12% and then going on a bulk back to 15% to really up those numbers and put on mass.

skip to level nine I would not do this. Review dread levels and make an honest assessment (others have done this as part of OYS) of your efforts in that level. Ensure you're pacing appropriately. Yeah, it can feel slow when you're not seeing results... but blowing the marriage up right now may be premature. Don't be too hot/cold. Find something quick and fun to do and invite the wife along with you, remember to keep things sexual and initiate initiate initiate. If you get shot down, stay cheerfu…

so far she is not working Is she adding value at home otherwise? Does she cook, clean, make your life easier? To a degree, your job when you don't have a job is to find a job. But you'll have to judge that for your specific situation. Do you want (and can you afford for her to be) a homemaker / SAHM one day? Or, do you want that dual income lifestyle? OYS #2 Background 30, 6'6", 255 lbs, probably 20% BF. Married 6.5 years, together 9.5 years. 5 month old son. Introduction This will be a short OYS as there's not much changed since last week - main thing I wanted to address was noted in an edit on my last OYS: I need to stop glorifying self-sacrifice for my wife and family in general. I was reviewing the absolute basics from the sidebar and this post by /u/Archwinger really hit home. I decided to review the introductory materials since I feel I…

It's expected that if you drastically change yourself, you'll no longer have things in common with the people you were once close with. If you used to play WoW 16 hours a day and all your friends played WoW 16 hours a day, and one day you quit - next time you hung out you'd probably not have much to talk about.

Fair point. I've been enacting changes for a while now. The sticking points that I'm hoping material from the book can address (whether she gets it from the book or not) would be putting even more trust in my decisions and relieving herself of that responsibility. Basically erasing those last bits of resistance (not shit tests) when she questions my decisions. She is in a lower leadership position at work and then switches pretty well to my frame at home, but there's room for improvement. I also…

She does seek guidance from me occasionally on improving. I would guess she would be more receptive and appreciative of the book around spring/summer 2019 so I'm going to monitor the situation at that point. In the meantime, it's back to grinding.

I wish that there were things a man in his 20s done with college and working could do to make life exciting First, stop comparing yourself to Instagram and Hollywood. There are plenty of ways to add excitement to your life in big and small ways, and they don't include getting piss drunk or developing a drug problem / harmful party lifestyle. I'd agree that condom sex sucks compared to going raw, and you probably don't want to do that with randos. You can serial LTR for a while, just keep in mind that she's not yours, it's just your turn. Read up on LTR game, there are plenty of resources within the RP community. And still, even in LTR, be real careful about going without condoms. Leaves a lot of power in the girl's hands and you never know if you've got a baby-crazy one on your hands - especially if you end up dating around your age…

Did he offer the secret handshake? It sounds like your psychiatrist knows a hell of a lot more about RP than most of the users here. I think you should listen to him. Take what is useful to you and then get out there and use it. And getting passionate about things and working on your mission instead of women is RP 101. Guy knows his shit.

Head to the steroids subreddit read the entire sidebar and lurk, reading everything for at least a year if you decide to go the black market route. You don't want to mess with that stuff unless you know exactly what you're doing at all times. As far as medical oversight it's a hell of a lot easier to find a doc that will monitor your markers and look the other way on the self medication than finding a doc who would rx TRT with test at 570.

100%, that's solid. Do you have an example of a men's clinic that would do it for free? The $50 or so places around here charge for that panel isn't a huge deal but free is free.

11/20/2018 6'6" - 255 lbs - ~22-23% BF - 30 y/o Physical Returning to the gym after too much time away. I convinced myself I was "too busy" with a newborn but that was a lie. I should have at the very least done some workouts with a kettlebell and body weight in the basement. Similarly, reigning back in the diet which had slipped as well. Plenty more like her, it sounds like she’s already trying to qualify you in her mind for something more than a hookup. Unless you want to marry this chick, don’t worry too much about it. You’ll get plenty of tail having leadership positions in a frat.

It’s rough at the time, true. Most of my social interaction in high school was on World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, or an occasional in-person LAN party. Be grateful you’re doing productive things for now, at least. You’ve got men on here finding the red pill for the first time in their 50s or beyond. At 14, the world is your oyster, even if you’ve got to deal with some BS for the next four years. In the long run, you’ll likely only keep in touch with maybe one or two people from high school re…

That may be true at your specific school but there are vast benefits of playing sports and especially leading the team besides a rare athletic scholarship. The skills and traits you develop are what you can talk about in college / scholarship interviews. If they still don’t listen, just continue killing it in school and lifting, reading, etc. The four years will fly by - if you lift for four teenage years and continue on track like you said to be valedictorian or close with clubs to boot, you’ll…

If they’re all about college admissions, talk about the leadership experience that captaining a sports team will bring your application, or the determination and willpower that a black belt in a martial art will show. They’re hindering you while trying to help you, but you’ll probably have to speak their language for the next four years before you can legally make all of your own decisions.

I think he may be referring to a herniated disc, if it's in his back. I'm no doctor but I always heard of hernias being compromises in the abdominal wall, which I don't think would be related to the back. That may be a bit more involved surgery wise but still a good idea to get it addressed immediately if not sooner.

I haven't watched the video posted by /u/allo_pyaaz just yet as I'm at work but the general concept behind this is addressed by RSD a few times in their videos when getting instant dates, etc. Basically you spike their emotions up high and as /u/TRPcez says, "strike while the iron is hot" and your chance of success is greatest. Those spikes won't last more than maybe a few minutes before settling down.

Base your learning on items included in the sidebar and recommended reading (NMMNG, WISNIFG, etc), and use that knowledge to filter the influx of information in the sub. EC (and similar) flair used to be a reliable way to tell but they've been handing those out like candy over the last year or so, so not sure I put much stock in that now.

Speaking to your edit, what year are you in? Things like pure math and physics typically rely on advanced degrees to obtain meaningful/fruitful work. Depending on your coursework, you could pivot to actuarial or engineering for a bigger paycheck, but you'll need the drive to work hard at it.

Being nonreactive is good - if you must respond, I enjoy Julien's response: "It makes me more attainable." Usually works more in line with small shit tests about your outfit, or shoes, or something... but could apply here too. Basically saying you're such a god otherwise you need something to make mere mortals think they're worthy.

I believe all men should make an effort to read some books that are considered classics. Read The Great Gatsby, The Prince, 1984, Brave New World, Catch-22, Slaughterhouse-Five, maybe some Hemingway and Dostoevsky. If you really want to challenge yourself, consider some Tolstoy or Proust's Remembrance of Things Past which need incredible attention to detail and memory of characters and their details.

I'd say try planning things far enough out that they can make it - if they're still flaking on even small commitments, it might be a different conversation to have with them about your friendship. As far as making new friends - follow the same rules as making individual friends. MeetUp, find couples-related classes/activities to do and meet people there, etc.

It sounds like you've got great intentions in doing all the "right" things - dressing better, lifting, eating well, and trying to be outgoing. If you like math and lots of money and want something you can self study, look into becoming an actuary. Sarcasm from other commenters aside, yes. Don’t be too picky at 17. Ask early and often if they’re hiring and don’t get discouraged. They may want to set up a time to chat with you - dress well when asking around (don’t go overboard, but a nice polo or button down and chinos with casual shoes instead of jeans and sneakers can go a long way). When you find a job, don’t fall into the trap of a lot of 17 year old kids who slack off and don’t learn anything. Do your work and do it well, with a smile…
