The current distribution is roughly 57/43. It's expected that by 2020 the distribution will reach 60/40.

Were you just being a bit coy or do you want an ELi5?

Yes, please. This subreddits feels, like most of reddit, as if it is trending to less valuable content.

I hope this is sarcasm.

I know you didn't ask about it, but my involvement in the MRM began when I started working in higher education. I suppose the following questions pertain most closely to the issue I deal with, i.e.: Do you think that Men have less social power than Women? Why? Do you think Men have less economic power than Women? Why? Is your goal the equality of opportunity for men and women, or the equality of treatment for men and women? Is there such a thing as Male Privilege? Is there such a thing as Female…

I'll admit -- I was caught off guard at first.

Thanks for that. I'll dig through the links provided. Much appreciated!

I don't know why you're being downvoted. It says it right in the first couple of sentences. Darrin was put in handcuffs. When the officer began “frisking” him, he grabbed hold of Darrin’s genitals so hard, pulled and twisted, that the teen’s genitals literally tore off. Edit: If you watch the video it claims it was a female officer.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the time you spent writing this, it was very calming and quite accurate to everything I've been experiencing. Thank you for the insight. I will work on being patient, and I really liked your last line -- I will definitely say it in the future.

I am going to have a discussion with my coworker this morning. I really appreciate you laying out a bit of a script for me and I think it sounds very professional. I will update as is possible. Thanks for your feedback.

These are not conversations I am willfully having. These are discussion topics that get brought up when we are meeting with other departments on campus. Part of my job as of late is to, along with the other counselors, visit various departments to learn about them. It was primarily the discussions with the counseling department and the public safety office that offended me; and it was inevitable that those topics would be brought up.

This isn't normal office chat per se. We've been meeting with a number of on campus departments (counseling, public safety, others), and inevitably discussions on those topics emerge. It's during talks with these two departments, more so than the others, when the displeasant conversations emerged.

No. I went to a liberal arts college. In order to graduate I had to complete all of my normal physics classes, plus multiple courses in other disciplines.

I graduated a physics major and spent many a semester in an atomic physics lab. Talk to me about STEM.

As a graduate of the liberal arts, and a strong proponent of Men's Rights, I'd ask you not refer to us as liberal-artarts. If anything my education gave me a better appreciation for the MRM.

I would encourage you to post it. Do I disagree with it? Of course I do. But that's not the core issue here. The issue is denial of free speech and access to information. How would you feel if a topic you considered important was ignored in the same way?

What events led you to join the feminist movement? What events led you to realize the inherent dangers/harms of feminism? Aside from the obvious retorts, what do you think are the most damaging side effects of the modern day feminist movement? Are you still active in the movement insofar that you reach out to those who are trying to get out of the, "hate cult"? Do you think the damages done by the movement are fairly evenly displaced across both genders? if not, how so? Sorry for the litany of q…

I think we aught to be careful using such generalized tone. I often complain to people that I despise the gross generalizations made by anti-rape campaigns (all men are rapists, tell men not to rape and they won't). In an effort of fairness I think we should hesitate to suggest that all women will not stand for home equality.

I agree with you in the sense that it does not go far enough in an apologetic sense, but then I am also not sure that was the intent of her article. It was interesting, to me at least, to see that within feminism there are clear divisions between what a feminist supposedly is and what a feminist aught to be. One paragraph stood out in particular: Steinem made it clear she wasn’t interested in marriage and children. Many young women who looked up to her thought they weren’t true feminists if they…

Just to play DA here, shouldn't we commend feminists like Quinn who (despite it being rather late) realize that feminism may cause unintended collateral damage? I suppose the alternative would be for individuals like herself to keep quiet as opposed to speaking out, which could potentially be even more damaging.
