What I meant by “scared” is the hurt feeling he put on himself while he insisted the divorce (he claimed he still loves me but he thinks it doesn’t work out (our marriage is 6 months…), he scared of getting back because of those hurt feelings that he imposed on himself… the more he drags it out, the more he feels he passed the turning point…

Do you mind if I asked why you didn’t try to get back with her if you still love her and you’re the one that initiated the divorce? Have you tried marriage counselor? My soon to be ex husband has similar emotional toll like you. He initiated divorce over a small argument (we both financially independent) and insisted we’re not compatible. He doesn’t do well during separation time but the more he drags out the separation, the more hurt he feels, and the more scared he gets… I told him together we…

We already signed the marital settlement agreement and I have more assets than him. The financial disclosure statement is submitted by each individual so technically I don’t see his form. I only know whether he submits it

Do you still care about her? If not, contact her back around 9-10pm when her new guy is around, so she would learn a lesson. I don’t believe any guy would like his woman still contacting the ex at night. Some women just crave for attention.

Honestly, hoping the honeymoon phase to never ends is actually a big red flag… especially you only know her for 2 weeks and not even meet in person. But anyway, good luck.

Being curious, if she earns more than you and have higher net worth than you, how can you take care of her?

Nice, another one to report. I do not believe Reddit is an anti- male, but anti- aggressive-male. Losing an individual like you only makes Reddit a more peaceful place

Same applies for my case. We basically reached all agreement in a few hours discussion. Petition and marital settlement signed, the only piece left for him was financial disclosure statement (and he has no debt), so it should be plain and simple for him to finish but he just hang on there…

Thank you. The reason I didn’t hire lawyers because I figured out all the paperwork required already. We had a prenup, no kids, we signed the petition and the marital settlement (basically nothing to split), no maintenance required. The only thing he needs to do is to submit his financial disclosure statement, which requires the W2 and the paystubs and the form. Not hard at all. And I honestly don’t think my lawyer (if has) would help him to do that…

That makes sense. I and my ex bought the house together before we got married but the title has % contributions on it, which helped a lot during the divorce process. We already signed the marital settlement as well, the only piece left is his financial disclosure statement which basically should be a quick document, but I didn’t get why he dragged it for so long…. But I’ll keep it in mind to finalize the divorce before I do any big purchases. Thank you!

Sorry to burst your bubble but you had so many false assumptions about mine and my ex financial situation. We are debt free, and the house that I live in right now is paid off with 90% contributions from my family. I paid him the 10% he put in with a quit claim deed so the house can be fully mine. Also, I don’t believe the group is meant to protect guys that fail to do their job in divorce. Seems like one report for hatred (and approved by reddit) isn’t enough for you?

I understand most of everything you said, except for not buying a house? May I ask why?

Because he pushed hard for the divorce. We went to a counselor and he agreed to give it a try, but his mom kept pushing hard for the divorce, mainly because he resided in a state far away from her with me and I’m not a Chinese as she wanted her daughter in law to be. He went back and forth for 2 weeks and it was so stressful so I told him I agreed to divorce to end all the misery. We had a prenup and we don’t have kids, so the divorce is supposedly to be straightforward.

You’re the mean one that goes into my thread and bs. I started the thread in a civilized way, and I’m sorry for any females/ males have to deal with you. Plus, starting something and finishing it up is an expectation for any adults regardless of race and sex. And I did report your comment too, full of hatred.

I asked since I don’t know wth he’s thinking and since it’s a male forum, maybe that can help. If someone loses money on his ex wives and plans to vent it out on another unrelated female, that person absolutely has issues, and that’s not my business.

Pushed her husband around? Are you referring to the husband that’s supposed to finish his part on the divorce process as he initiated? I thought start something and finish it up is what a kindergarten is supposed to learn

Thanks for your feedback. It’s really stressful as he insisted for it, pushed for it really hard while I was trying to save it. The moment I gave up and tried to get it done asap, he’s indifferent to finish it up.
