I worked in a factory when I was younger making tvs. If the line went down we had to unload all the screens and store them on pallets. These were just screens BTW, maybe weighed a few kg each. The women would go to the break room whenever this happened while the men carried on working.

You have to be careful wheb comparing circumcision to FGM. The majority of what would be considered FGM is essentially a labiaplasty which I would say is very similar to circumcision. Honestly, i think the best course of action is not to do it unless it is medically necessary. it won't do any harm to wait and the child can always get it done later in life. Maybe it's something to do with doctors. I was having a conversation with a colleague who is a female doctor. I said something about how I can't believe people still take the wage gap seriously. I could tell immediately that she didn't agree by her look. I have a friend who handles it your way, he splits his time between jail and trying to see his kids which usually lands him back in jail. I sort of agree with you but it took a very long time before I felt I really knew my partner.
