Haha, the first thing I came to this thread for was to ask why the author is still recommending The Game/DYD over better, more recent stuff like Models and (some of) Tyler's newer videos. And now I know.

Roissy is...thorny. While on the surface some of his stuff is good, he's got three main problems: If you're not a straight, white, right-wing American who has a hardon for 50s gender roles, he's gonna fucking hate your guts. Actually, scratch that; his Sexual Market Value test for men pretty much proves that if you're not a walking, talking clone of him, he despises you--and even then, he'll probably find something about you to hate. In addition, a lot of his stuff seems to come from a place of …

It's not exactly smooth or sensual, but the best sex of my life was had to Death From Above 1979.

The reason everyone's so down on you because of it is because you're putting so much weight into the belief that one aesthetic thing will fix the entirety of your life. Well, that and the fact that you snap with negativity at anyone who doesn't agree with you 100%.

I say this advice constantly on here: if you think that there wasn't as much sex "back in the day", you need to make more friends in their 40s/50s/60s. The difference between our parents'/grandparents' generations and ours isn't that they had fewer sexual partners, it was that they were raised without the level of instant gratification that we were. They were willing to dedicate themselves to fixing a problem rather than just throwing something away at the first sign of trouble.

I've actually picked up a girl before doing a fake walkthrough of a canned routine, i.e.: "This is my opener. I'm saying it to try to set myself apart from the dozens of other guys I think have hit on you tonight. I learned it from the Internet." "Now that I've opened, it's time to start building both conversation and attraction." "Uh-oh, I've been here longer than my book told me to. I have to leave and go hit on other girls now. Give me your number, it's time for me to perform my number-close.…

Some say yes, some say no. Like everything here, everyone has their own take. I'm personally a no, because I have no desire to be The Other Man in someone else's life--it sucks when it happens to you, so why do it to someone else?

Firstly: in all of my years of gym work, I have NEVER seen anyone get teased, made fun of, bullied, or otherwise put down. Everyone there is way too focused on their own work to even notice you. Your worry is all in your head, and to me almost seems like an excuse to just not try. Secondly: there's not really such a thing as fast/slow metabolisms, just people who eat very little and think they eat a lot and people who eat a lot but think they eat nothing. Count every calorie that goes in your bo…

Everyone in this thread is overthinking this. Seriously, nobody cares what a Facebook profile looks like unless it's obnoxious (20 posts a day/endless game spam/"funny" photo spam) or it's creepy (constantly sending out creep messages to girls who have turned you down/endless statuses about how you can't get laid because you're such a nice guy and girls are such bitches).

This is something a Meisner teacher once taught me, and I hope it helps you as much as it did me: "Modesty is the narcissism of the mildly successful."

Lived in Munich for a time. Your women were good to me. And as a country, you all are some of the realest people I've ever met and very forgiving of the fact that I speak German like a gutter punk :)

I see your point and ask you this: how do you know you wouldn't enjoy broccoli until you've tried it in full? Something good for you can taste excellent when prepared properly. And as for the goal: to each their own, although what's worked for me has been not leaning too far to one side or the other (Dante would despise me).

I'd love to see a Game movie not so much focused on the "gettin' bitches" aspect of it but more on the interpersonal relationships of the guys and how becoming (essentially) 21st Century Gatsbys destroyed Project Hollywood completely. Y'know?

Mmm...yes and no. Although I think subcultural targeting might be good for newbies, I feel that in the long run it could really stifle your progress, both in seduction and a human being. Firstly, there's the fact that if you only target one group, you'll only learn how to play by their rules; I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am today if I had stuck to the garage rock/punk scene. Can one really call oneself good with women or people if one can only succeed under a set circumstance? Following f…

You're thinking about this way too much and in too logical of a fashion. Mystery and humor outweigh overly thought out and over-updated profiles most of the time.

Hrm. Long lists of easy-to-remember-and-recite maxims...not sure on if they help or hinder the community, especially new guys. While I generally like most of what you've posted, this sort of information can be overwhelming--specifically for fresh faces eager to absorb any and all information coming their way. A 150-odd bullet list sounds great, and may make it seem like there's a billion things a man will improve once he joins the seduction community; but in truth, he might start worrying too mu…

I think you and the rest of the world have a very different definition of white knight. For most of us, white knight refers to a guy who bends over backwards for women (in a manipulative way) in the hopes that they will dole out sex to him--which never happens.

Online dating is good for beginners for two reasons only: firstly, it forces guys not to put all their eggs in one basket and teaches them that girls are constantly getting approached and flaking. Second, it teaches guys not to fall into special snowflake thinking, as most of the girls they will meet will have some sort of problem--most likely more noticeably so than a girl they would meet on the street.

I especially enjoy the racist rants and constant devaluation and slandering of anyone who isn't a straight, white, wealthy, right wing leaning male who believes Roissy's every word to be gospel.

Girls flake for a ton of reasons. There's no real answer. Sometimes it's you. A lot of the time, it's them. Stop worrying about it so much and go talk to other girls.

It's up to you. My personal rule is to never escalate beyond my normal flirtation with anyone in an exclusive relationship. If I were in your situation, I'd tell her that if she wants to be together, break it off with the other guy.

No, you don't know the outcome. Trust me. Nobody on earth knows the outcome of any social situation. Not you. Not me. Not Mystery, not Roissy, not Tyler fucking Durden. Nobody. You're going into this with a self-defeating mindset. It's a form of ego protection--and believe me, a lot of guys here (myself included) went through this at one point or another. Let me put it this way: every man, in some shape or form, is an explorer. Hiding behind the assertion that "no girls like me" is essentially t…

And why should that matter? Just go for it and give it a shot. Stop worrying and just do it. If you get blown out, you get blown out. No big deal. The reason that you think girls aren't interested in you is because you're not letting them.

There's your stinking problem right there, buddy. I don't mean to sound harsh, but please don't whine about how you're not getting any girls if you're not actually meeting any. Cool girls don't just magically appear out of thin air and fall directly onto your cock.

As an Austinite, Dallas is...weird. From my experience, which may be biased due to how open Austin is, girls tend to be a bit more on guard than they usually are, especially girls who grew up in the Dallas suburbs. As for your skin color, don't worry about that, Texas is rapidly changing in demographics and while there may be some girls who won't speak to you because you're not white, such girls exist everywhere and are never worth your time to begin with. In fact, a bigger problem may be girls …

Why? What is so hard? Let's look at it. What's the absolute worst thing that can happen to you if you approach a girl? Worst case scenario: she and her friends laugh at you, you bow out, and all parties move on. It's not like she has a special telephone that she uses to immediately call all of girldom and together they organize a worldwide ban on you. Seriously, in the grand scheme, nobody gives a fuck. And you know what? If you go up to her not thinking about sex or a relationship or anything a…

I actually find the worst ones aren't in RSD; they're actually leaders or gurus. Roissy in particular strikes me as such: an extremely bitter, hateful, and spiteful person trying vainly to be lord over others. While some of his stuff is legit, a lot of his posts (especially recently) are just downright mean-spirited and angry--and attempt to paint anyone who disagrees with him in any way as a pathetic fool getting in the way of the advancement of the human race.

Your main problem is that you did LTR-dates as first dates and then didn't follow up with physicality. Three course candlelight dinner on the first date and you didn't go anywhere? Dude. I'm not sure there's anywhere for you to go with this girl anymore because your prior behavior has basically said to her, "You can use me for boyfriend playacting without fear, because I'm too scared to escalate." Try a more causal date and use kino, but if it doesn't work, admit your mistakes, learn from them, …

Haha, oh, lord, I have some beta stories from college. Freshman year, a girl and I are chatting as I'm walking back to my car at the end of the day. As I'm saying goodbye and opening my car door, she points at a building across the street and says, "Hey, my apartment is right over there." And using the full extent of my eighteen year old wisdom, I reply, "Oh, cool," close my car door, and drive away.

I was eighteen. Taking a girl home from seeing a movie, we were just friends. As I stopped the car, she leaned over and pulled me into a passionate embrace. "I want you to be in my life more..." she whispered in my ear. And like a total dumbass, I didn't kiss her and spent the next two months wondering why she had stopped being responsive to my texts and calls.

Here, I'm going to challenge you to something: the next couple nights, don't go out looking for girls. Go out looking for you. Get your boys and just go have a blast with each other. If you meet a cool girl and hit it off, cool. If not, cool. Sometimes you need to just step back a bit and focus on having fun. Rejection from one single girl should never soil you like this.

Pick your major based on what you love to do. You're putting too much focus on girls if you're beginning to make life decisions based solely on their population.
