Not only physical attractiveness, but women judge other traits differently from men as well. Lots of times, women themselves don't even know what they are attracted to. It's just something that happens. I can't even count the number of times I've been able to charm girls who told me that I initially wasn't even their "type".

From what I hear, most guys on dating apps are pretty indecisive. I think the biggest mistake was not responding to her final text on the first day, and then proceeding to double text her when she didn't respond after that.

You probably should've asked her out the first time she was being flirtatious to see how she reacted. If you went back there a couple more times and stared at her, she may have started to feel creeped out.

Yeah, I get it. I just meant the general tone. Hey, it's a mistake I used to make a lot, so I learned from trial and error. You have to remember that girls are sifting through hundreds of texts on dating apps, so the sooner you can get them off there and establish a more human connection, the better.

You should've asked her out at the end of day 1. Don't just say "we should meet sometime". Pitch her a definite time and place. And you shouldn't have double-texted when she didn't respond. It makes you look desperate. If she responds, great. If not, move on.

Just tell your parents you're having a girl over. Mine never had any issues with it, and she won't either if you play it cool. Other then that, you could plan dates around staying at her place.

Women are extremely selective and will reject most men regardless. It's just how the biology of sexual selection works. Men have the ability to impregnate hundreds of women and disappear. Women have limited eggs, limited time to reproduce, and they are stuck with results of their decision all their lives. You could say that modern society and laws have changed a lot of this, but the original biological differences run deep.

I think the problem with any of these studies on the effects of status is that "status" doesn't have an objective definition and objective measure, so it's fairly easy to define it and measure it in ways that conform to the study.

Obviously murder of either sex was common in those times. That's just a given. I'm saying that on top of that their life was mostly shit. I'm not even sure what the argument is. They both had shitty lives in different ways. I never meant to imply that the lives of men was better. I'm just against the notion that the lives of women was somehow better. It's all multifaceted. Shouldn't the goal now be to equalize as much as possible, for men and for women?

OK. So humans have been treated horribly by each other for thousands of years. But that doesn't mean women were treated "better". You think the unattractive women who weren't of breading age also weren't murdered brutally? I think you should look into the actual history instead of making broad generalizations.

Since I'm not familiar what the actual curriculum is like these days, do you have some concrete evidence that they aren't already using more diverse examples? Seems like the education system is changing all of the time. I'm also not sure if men really don't have a voice regarding reproductive rights issues as you say, but I guess I'll take your word for it.

You are really arguing that being forced into a marriage at a young age, forced to have children, potentially being raped after your village is pillaged, etc is somehow better? I'm not saying that being forced to fight in a war wasn't a shitty fate for many men, but I can't take your argument seriously that women's lives were better.

Right. I'm not arguing against any of this. I'm saying that these are all relatively recent developments. But at the same time I feel that there will be enough pushback to balance things out in the end. More and more American men will take the exit option and opt to live in other countries, and this will inevitably force the US institutions to readjust or fail.

Well, yes, I agree. The lower classes were treated like crap throughout most of history regardless of sex. Women and most men were both treated like chattel. The point I'm making is that this anachronistic reading of history and victimhood mentality is a recent phenomenon. But OP is incorrect in thinking that there was some point in history where women started to be treated better than men. Only in matriarchal hunter gatherer societies would that have perhaps been the case, but even in those soc…

Really throughout most of human history (post agricultural revolution) women have been treated like chattel. Let's just be realistic here. Then since around the 1960s with women's rights movements things balanced out, but now very recently things have over-corrected. I think it's important to emphasize that it's a very recent phenomenon and will likely return to an equilibrium in the years ahead (I hope). Edit: If you think I'm wrong, please tell me why.
