So you guys probably hear some variation of this daily.

Met a girl the other day, someone ive seen a few times and spoken to on occasion, but this time I was struck by how nice she looked and I make some comment or asked her if she changed her hair. She immediately started yapping, said, "my names Jordan btw" (I didn't ask), and then told me she likes the same kind of drink I had just ordered (probably not true - felt like an attempt to create a connection). Anyway, I told her it was good to meet her and I'd see her again (she works at this place). So the next two times I go in, she's across the way, fiddling with something, or bending over inspecting something - basically looking artificially busy - like, she knows I'm there but is either unsure how to interact or is just disinterested and doesn't want my attention.

But if its the latter why bother offering me her name and all that shit? Confusing as fuck. You know, at least be polite and say Hi ya goofy.

So anyway, both times I did my thing, didn't say a word to her and went on about my day. My feeling is she definitely knew I was there, she's either shy or playing games. She may also be intimidated as I'm at least 10-15 years older than she is. So, I ignore her back. My thought is I should just forget it, her, her name, and our chat. Done. Or is there something I'm not considering?

Ive been married since i was really young. Never dated, and never really had an opportunity to learn how to pick up women. Well, now I'm free and I'd like to play the field for a few years. I look good and get a lot of initial attention because of that but once I have to open my mouth or navigate these fucking games women play I'm admittedly a bit lost.
