What I meant in my post was more about a general mindset I’ve noticed, especially in younger guys, which is that sometimes they see any interaction with women as a failure if the woman doesn’t see them as relationship material. I absolutely agree that speaking to someone as friends vs in a date setting is different, and that actually aligns with the idea.
