That sounds like a person acknowledging the fact that they're likely influenced by their hormones at the moment. It happens. Just be grateful for not having to live that way, yourself...

Daddy some could get behind, haha 😆
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 04:06 PM

Yeah, it’s completely normal to “vet” someone you’re dating if you’re thinking long-term. You don't just let the first person into your life who shows more red flags than a sovjet war parade. That doesn’t mean turning dates into job interviews or trying to catch them in traps. It just means paying attention on how they act, what they value, how they treat people, and whether their words match their deeds. You look out for the big questions, Is this someone I could realistically build a life with…

Going by raw, animalistic desire is a great way to get used, robbed, r@ped or else. Most women are not raised that way. And many men don't want this kind of women for their life partners, either.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:18 PM

Women are not a monolith. Some want to find a life partner, some want a quick ride. If course the vetting process will be different.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:14 PM

Having chemistry and sexual attraction is not the end all, be all for a lot of people. It's a baseline. She will probably take it slow to get to know who you are beyond that instant "click". What your values are, if you want children, if your world views align, if you're a feminist ally, if you want children, what your goals are, etc. If she threw her everything into that budding relationship, all emotion, no rational planning, she might end up with a person she has great chemistry with, but who…

Also he will kinda expect you to be his bangmaid-mommy-therapist. Isn't that flooding your panties immediately?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:31 PM

A what?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 12:11 PM

The reality where women have been burned before and want to properly vet you before allowing you in their bed and allowing herself to emotionally invest and become attached to a toxic person. It's not that deep.

Why is being lonely and isolated put solely on women, though? IMHO, men need to learn to form deep and impactful relationships outside of romantic relationships, with their peers and other men. It is insanity to put the burden of ones ENTIRE social life/interaction on ONE person!

The scope of comments like these is about insecure behaviour, unnecessary hostility, domineering or over compensatory attitudes, but I get that it is a sneering jab at masculinity and reinforces negative body images. Another example would be Napoleon complex for vertically challenged men behaving that way. The counterpart would be big dick energy, which also does not mean the literal penis size, but someone behaving calm, secure and confident. Case in point: Downvoting my comment demonstrates sm…

How come that asexual people long for relationships, too? Don't you think companionship and intimacy would be a more relevant factor?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 01:18 PM

Do you think every man defines himself as a stoic worker, father and protector, and that his worth lies only in providing for a family or dying in a war? Plant a tree, build a house, father a child, check, life done! No exceptions? What about the artists, the travelers, the priests? Do you think men become misogynistic because women seem to not adhere to some invisible contract to selflessly nurture and serve others (partners>offspring>elderly family members)?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 08:16 AM

I don't agree with your blanket statements. There are very varied and nuanced reasons why women may stay childless. Some may long for a family but don't find a partner, some may not be able to have them, some have health reasons that prohibit pregnancy - and then there is a whole bunch of them who abstain for lifestyle reasons, for their careers, dont want to be tied to men, etc. Women are not a monolith, neither are their reasons.

Not true. For the longest time, the commitment came before the sex.

Not every woman identifies herself through children. There are enough child free women who are feminine in other ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 03:10 PM

They moved off site because one of the ladies there did not want to provide anymore free labour (modding), basically closed it and went someplace else. You can still view old posts but there is nothing new, except advertising the off-site resources.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 04:03 PM

Do these children not have fathers?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 08:48 AM

Feel free to advocate against circumcision, then. Don't rely on women for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 08:47 AM

You don't sound very empathetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 08:43 AM

Women overwhelmingly don't threaten to harm men there. They threaten to not extend any more free labour to men. Not clean up their messes, not act as free therapists, not be in relationships with men who don't add value to their lives, and teach their sisters to spot red flags. Why would that harm men?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 08:40 AM

Fds is hugely inactive. It's just mod posts advertising some podcast, since one of their mods started monetizing the movement and kicking out the others.

This might be a result of a different personality and different baggage. There are dynamics that hobble healthy relationships, like growing up with trauma, anxious or avoidant relationship dynamics that you might be seeking out subconsciously, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 09:59 PM
19

It depends. It is just different than most men think. Lots of women want a relationship to bring true value to their lives and enhance them, but they often find themselves bending over backwards for someone who disrupts their peace and ends up being emotionally unavailable and doesn't reciprocate the same effort, who only look for a support npc character. Mrn who are into the pill culture and think all women want is "Chad" need to learn one thing: They are not competing with the 6 feet, 6 digit …

Dude, TwoX is a default sub. I would be surprised if even half of its subscribers actively used reddit. A good chunk is probably men, especially considering how they basically flood every discussion notallmening, like constantly. It's as if half the answers and top level comments on ask men were women answering with their viewpoint (which is not the case since it gets you banned). TwoX isn't moderated that way.

You were talking about all women having the potential to be a certain way. Well then: All women have the potential to be victims. All men have the potential to rape, stalk, harass and abuse. And a lot of them will, if the opportunity arises. 5% is a ridiculously downplayed number. Not in the way you might figure, with a stranger lurking in the dark, forcing themselves on a woman. Rape and sexual assault happens in the victims near field, mostly. So: fathers, grandfathers, cousins, brothers, neig…

Men are invested in other celebrities, too. The most degenerate example: Counting down to female celebrities “turning legal”, like it happened to Emma Watson, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Natalie Portman, Lindsay Lohan - they have all seen them grow up from being young children, thirsting over their budding breasts , etc.

As stated, the poor grooming is not the main part that turns women off about "neck beards". I think it goes deeper than that. Neck beards are associated with r/niceguys, lacking adulting skills (think about the stereotype of an obese dude gaming all day, drinking mountain dew and sucking Cheeto dust off his fingers, vaping, while he lives in a dirty r/neckbeardnests and his clothes smell like pickles. It's all about the lack of competence that turns women and fellow actual adult people off.

Women DO have facial hair - but you won't catch one dead with it visible. There can be certain hormonal issues that can lead to hair growth on the upper lips and chin, also bushy/mono eyebrows can grow on women. Most women would be extremely mortified if someone else noticed them having a lady beard....so yes, we do shave, thread or do whatever to our faces to keep it as unnoticeable as possible. Men are absolutely not held to any standard at all concerning body hair, with the exception of their…

Huh what, so female armpit hair is smelly and gross, and male armpit hair is regular and normal and not smelly? Interesting take.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/24 11:20 AM
3

Yes. You are missing the point. The speaker views neck beards and rednecks negatively, but not because of the beard or the sunburned neck. It is about attitude, lifestyle and world views that are commonly associated with the terms. It goes way beyond the physical feature of the beard, it's about the general attitude of laziness/not being able to adult properly. You may want to look up the terms in the urban dictionary and see what it spits out.

Not even for her own mental health? I'm surprised nobody made that point yet, but can you imagine just being at home all day and the only people you get to speak to are toddlers, related or married to you, or other parents with no other topics than poopy diapers? To me personally it felt more like u/bluepvtstorm describing her going all in at the beginning of a relationship, pouring a lot of herself into loving the other person, until she gets disappointed. She starts protecting herself when she feels like the other partner constantly keeps an open tab on reciprocating that level of care and half-asses where she gives her all. Sometimes it might just be feeling that way due to incompatible love languages (I think everyone should be at least fluent in all…

Too much screen time is very bad for the development, especially in babies and toddlers. It's easier for the parents, but it is really not a good way to keep small children busy. It's nice that you had experience helping to raise your little brother, but it's anecdotal evidence. Children are quite different in their pace, needs and ability to "do their own thing".

Actually being emotionally intelligent, being on the same stage in life, youthful attractiveness/fitness, no erectile dysfunction, being relatable, not being a loser in their own age group with potential partners, not needing to resort to stalking and manipulation... The list could go on.

Yes, that's a very interesting fact. I've also read before (don't remember where) that the biggest group size where we will still be able to see the people in it as individuals is max 1000, like maybe your school, or your corporation. Afterwards it becomes a statistic, a group we don't see as individual people, but lumped together. We automatically dehumanize and "other" them, because our brains just don't grasp them individually, anymore: People from X city are unfriendly, people from X country…

Both men and women are miserable in today's dating market. Men are thirsty for a glass of water while they are in a desert. They are parched and are dying for some water. Women are thirsty for a glass of water as a shipwrecked on the sea. Yeah, she is surrounded by water and could just drink, but..., you know? It's not the kind of water they actually need and want and it would possibly harm them. Casual sex that most likely won't satisfy them, with men who aren't interested in them as a person. …

Women are made fun of for surgery, too. Women get made fun of for not caring enough, as well! I believe there is a desktop extension for Reddit that allows you to "mark" users who use certain subs. I was once banned here for commenting on one of those rating subs (I stood up for the girl in question, so could resolve it with a mod). So yes, it's not just other subs who try to keep their user base to a certain standard, FDS does the same and it's probably a good thing for the overall health of the community.

Hybristophilia is not uncommon. I suppose it has to do with a saviour complex and codependent tendencies. Mind boggling.

Honestly my ex did this obnoxious, loud mouth breathing when he zoned out and it irritates me sooo much.

As a metal head, it's kinda my jam, though. I wouldn't mind this outfit at a gig or festival, but in day to day life? Dude isn't 15 anymore, no need to scare grannies at the mall...Come on....

Those are good rules for, say, a Christmas Dinner with your company. With friends and family we talk about those topics all the time. I think some discourse is healthy. It's not a topic for first dates, but I'd like a partner with similar core values and financial stability, especially if planning for a family, so at some point I would probe him about his values. Better sooner than later, before I'm completely emotionally attached and overlook the red flags..

Honestly I'm convinced that there would be way less war and violence if women were world leaders instead of men.

Yeah,I tried keto with my ex boyfriend. The weight just melted off him while I was constantly plateauing for weeks on end, it was frustrating af. To be fair, he went to the gym a lot and the most I did was riding my bike regularly.

Unless they're teaching their daughters. Then it's always all men and they watch them like a hawk. Except them, of course.

That sounds a lot like love bombing. I fell into a LDR like that a while back and once we moved in together, I was stuck with the biggest slob on the planet. Take your time, don't let him BUY you.

Oh my god I am so sorry this happened to you! Hopefully you got the help you needed. I couldn't imagine ever trusting someone completely after such a horrible experience. I'm pretty wary of some of my friends helping me through a breakup right now. One of them has some preeetty strong nice guy vibes and it bothers me so much.
