Yeah, I have lost a lot of the support systems I built years ago in lieu of family. I think I put too much faith in people (women) to be able to hold space for men’s issues- they don’t, almost every time. In this case it was taken as a personal attack/threat that I even brought it up. I do plan to start attending a men’s support group. Thank you for writing and your feedback.

That feeling is one I have often. Who will be there for me? And too often the answer is no one, really. Not in the ways I need. I keep trying to be there for my friends in hopes of reciprocation.
