Rings are no jokes. It really conveys how the man view the relationship. I asked for a 12k ring to my fiance (i wanted a 2-3 carat diamond ring with a preference for lab grown diamond) at first he blinked but then he understood that this ring represent a celebration and pride in our relationship. He also makes 6 figures (entry 6 figures) so he can afford but it is still an effort as it’s a bit less than 2 months salary. He made no comment on my taste, even though I prefer gold and he prefers whi…

Me too. I started to read more on the subject and pay attention to this angle. Men hate women. Not all men. But most men.

No worries just trying to help. Clearly one should only be living with a husband/future husband. Economically, it doesn’t make sense to pay a rent to a partner who is sole owner. Even if they do, it might be build resentment as one is gaining equity and the other is not. Now, I suggested not to use the term “rent” but to ask him to pay for bills. It could be the house bills + any of her bills (like cars bills, health bills...) so that the woman finds herself in a winning situation (sort out what…

Yes but if the situation was reversed, I would never pay rent to a partner in his own home because it’s lost money. I would rather we move to a new home that we buy together so that I would build equity instead of paying rent that would be lost for me while they are acquiring equity. If they would have been alone they would have paid their mortgage alone. Now I’m with them paying half of their mortgage, not gaining equity it’s completely useless for me. I’ve seen couples having these exact same …

From experiences I’ve seen it’s problematic living with a SO paying them rent while they gain equity alone. I would’t accept it at all personally. It’s not the same situation as both paying rent to a landlord. A way around it not to ask for rent but for them to cover everything else. They may accept more easily and OP would benefit financially. It is asking for rent effectively but branding it differently to maximize chances of success.

She can have her own, but he can pay for it :)

I wouldn’t ask for a rent or name it a rent cause it feels unloving to pay a rent when living with a loved one who is an owner. You could say : no rent as I own the house, but you cover all the other bills (utilities, food for 2, health insurances...). In effect it would be more or less equivalent to him paying a rent and at least splitting the other bills. Make it so it’s advantageous for you

Well my fiance is a HVM but it’s very clear to me that he’s an exception. He respects women due to the egalitarian education he had from his mother - as in he had dolls and barbies as a child, she deliberately gave her sons both traditional boys and girls toys. He cooks and cleans well and frequently (even by female standards) and has no issue with women topics. However I only met him at 32 after tons of LV.

Honestly there’s not much I like about typical male interests and behaviors neither. I don’t primarily enjoy their company nor their discussions as they are often lacking depth and critical thinking. The only things I like about males is what they bring to the table, going out on dates, cuddling, their bodies, providing help etc.

Say none of this. If it’s a first date and you’re asked, pay your half. Leave. Block and delete. We don’t give feedback to men we barely know. If it’s an established relationship then you can discuss expectations with your BF

Those pickmeishas omg, to be honest I hate them. She saw a guy ONCE and he sends her a horrible rape video. She needs to ask strangers what to do?!? Is it not clear? Was he a messiah figure or some sort of out space creature that made such an impact in just ONE date that she would hesitate to overlook the video? Going on a date with a man she doesn’t know has such appeal that she ponders if it’s ok to receive horrifying videos. Enabling rape culture.

I don’t get it. It’s either a man provides for the household and his woman takes care of it OR they both provide and they both split chores. Can’t have it both ways. If I’m told to take care of the house alone there’s no way I’d be splitting bills

I agree addressing claims would give us good talking points. But I despise seeing their memes, jokes all over Reddit. We don’t need to re-post them here and make them feel that we are listening. Behind these memes are most likely some angry inexperienced teenager or some frustrated deeply flawed and frustrated adult, no need to give them any form of recognition

Sometimes I feel like they are spiteful and vengeful against progress in women’s right. They’re thinking : « you wanted equal access to the work force? This is not how FDS works, we don’t need to justify why we deserve them. We set our standards for them and their behaviors and we vet until someone meet them. Self esteem comes from within no need for justification other than being a good decent person

6 months with a HV - treats me kindly, takes me out, when possible we went on vacation (South of France, Italy - Disneyland Paris we live in central Europe). I met his whole family at his nephew’s christening, they seem to be good well-behaved people. No drama, open line of communication when I dont’t like something I tell him and he doesn’t do it again. Mention places where friends have been, or you have been then say - I’d like to go have dinner there. Then he should take you next time. Once there say that you love it there (if it’s the case). And then next time, let’s try X (place you want to go). Personally, i know nice places in my city so I don’t mind suggesting them. If you prefer him to chose, you need to give hints on your tastes - I’d like to have daiquiris in a nice cocktail bar do you know a place? I love meat, do you know any great …

True, line is thin. I don’t mind bossing him around though. But he still takes initiatives. Truth is, when we see these HVM treated like queens by their men, we don’t know exactly what she asks of him in private and how she communicated her desires. Maybe he wasn’t behaving exactly like she wanted at first and she got what she wanted from him with her queen power 👑 Of course he needs to be wanting to give and prioritize his woman

By educate I meant ask once, formulate it and let him level up to your standards. Not nag, beg, insist etc. Some men just don’t know, others have been so used to pickmeishas that they can’t imagine other ways. This is assuming it’s a respectful good guy, just you want to be treated some particular ways ( I like fancy restaurant for ex, I’m not an outdoor person etc.) Of course leave if standards are not met after being stated.

I’ll go further - don’t tolerate shit AND make it clear what you want. I started a relationship with a man (I already knew) during covid. So it was park picnics (restaurants were closed) and house dates. When restaurants re-opened we were already together. When the first bill came he asked: what do you want to do? I stared at him. He took it. Next date during convo I casually mentioned a friend who dumped a guy for not paying on dates. It’s been 6 months and it never happened again. He pays for …

This is a disgrace. It’s not even the symptoms themselves it’s the simple fact that he knows she has menopause. If he didn’t know he wouldn’t behave this way. This is misogyny . The same men that are disgusted by women period will one day be disgusted by menopause. These are the men talking about the wall. Ladies beware of all sign of misogyny and degrading conceptions about women biology. It ends badly, sooner or later

Men don’t think deeply about relationships as women do. Because we have more to lose (pregnancy, risk of abuse etc.). Most men I know don’t have a clear opinion of what women want and why on a deep enlightened level as they haven’t given enough thoughts and informed themselves enough on the topic. Toxic masculinity I guess

It doesn’t have to do with desire. It ALWAYS has to do with money. I bet if that amulet of mara costed 1K+ he would have bought her a cheap ring instead. A thoughtful man would buy gifts of value + give symbolic gift. A man who solely get symbolic no monetary value gifts is just a cheapstake trying to disguise himself as a HVM to get free pussy and devotion

Understood - I’ve been there too. However, men depravity wouldn’t be as easy for them to apply if there weren’t pickmeishas to accept it. It’s about knowing the enemy tactics and leveling up. To accept sex in an alley from a mama’s boy it’s both high level depravity and pickmeishmism

Depends on the area, in some cities like mine it’s quite common to have roommates even with good jobs. Also it depends on the apartment being shared - is it a nice big clean and well kept and furnished place, or does it look like a frat house after party. If the roommates are decent professionals and the apartment looks good not a red flag for me. Also, why is he sharing an apartment - is it to save money to invest? He could be financially responsible
