Wouldn’t trade any of them for anything. We always wanted a big family. And it was awesome until she lost her mind.

Didn’t mean to delete the above comment. I was trying to reply to your comment. It’s not that I can’t have my kids with me, there’s no decree in the divorce about that. She just has full custody. I don’t see how that prevents them from staying with me if they need to? I’ve done all the things that DHS asked me to do so they can be with me without a monitor or anything like that.

Agree with this. I am just so frustrated by all of this. But yeah, I know it’s not fair but I have to roll with it regardless. I would love to see the light at the end of the tunnel at least.

You’re right man. I know it. I never in my wildest thought this would be the outcome of a 15 year marriage. But yeah, you’re right.

The crazy thing is she’s a completely different woman than who I married. Even her personal beliefs and tastes, religion and music… all of it.. totally different. I know I’m going to have to get my attorney involved. I just hate paying that money that could be going to the kids just bc she’s being so dumb. Yeah, she had a plan.

The plan was for her to enroll the kids in the school in her district and live with her. But she lives with her boyfriend and his landlord has said only the youngest 3 can live there. So they are here. Don’t get me wrong I love them being with me… but it is frustrating from a financial aspect. Oh I have the other 2 on weekends. So every weekend I have all the kids.

Brother, first of all I’m so sorry. It is one of the hardest things you’ll go through. I want to tell you - that feeling of loss, pain, hurt.. she feels none of that now. None of it. She’s let you go… for the sake of your health and sanity and for the sake of your kids you MUST cut her off emotionally and physically. Do not engage. She’s made her choice. There’s no going back. Protect yourself and your future. She’s not your wife anymore. Find a good attorney and figure out how you move forward.…

You need to talk to a divorce attorney asap. Her talking about being best friends, you not worrying about assets (even if there isn’t much), telling you she needs to “find herself” and it’s not about another guy. To me it sounds like she is stringing you along. Maybe not. But don’t for one second believe that you will be friends after this. You move on with your life. Let her move on with hers.

It sounds like you already have someone in mind that you want to date.

I’m so sorry man. I was hit a surprise VPO too. It was overturned bc it was absolute garbage. But that didn’t change the fact that I was still separated from my kids. It didn’t have to stay in place bc it set the wheels in motion with DHS and once that starts it’s never going to be the same. I’m still shocked by how little control men have in this process.

I lost all desire to date or be in a relationship after my divorce. It took me awhile to truly get over my ex. But when I realized she had moved on long before we even talked about divorce, it made it easier for me too let go. I hopped on dating apps once I accepted what happened, but despite meeting some really cool people the desire to have a relationship… to open up and share my life with someone, just had gone away. I’m content - at the moment - to focus on my kids and bettering myself. I ra…
