Didn’t end up going but hoping to sort something else out with her instead. And yeah you’re right, I was overthinking it. Thanks for responding.

Couldn’t end up going in the end but thanks for your reply. The way you’ve explained it has helped me understand how I should interact in that sort of environment.

Looool wow. It’s crazy how crazy these girls will act once you’re done with their shit.

Okay, that’s fine. She’s getting dropped. I know what you mean about things getting shitty, she’s definitely gonna make it seem like I’m being a cunt, but it’s got to be done. So in the future, any woman who makes me feel like this is getting dropped like a brick Yeah man, I was with some friends and another group of people basically started an altercation. I was just protecting my friends.

I hear that, it’s just we’ve been friends since high school. And yeah I guess it’s pretty evident now that she doesn’t care about me or my feelings. So should I just completely stop responding and ghost her? I know I need to stop caring but that’s not something that I can just switch and make happen. I want to know, given that I am currently feeling like this, what can I do/think about in the moment or daily that will stop be having these emotional reactions if that makes sense?

I guess it's like /u/TimeisDollars said, change comes from the inside. If you're like me, I reckon we're just building up the idea of being so devoid in our own minds, and the only way to get out of it is to take action. Sure, it will be hard at first, but new things always are. Like they say, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. I don't know if you're at university or college or whatever, but if you are, I think one thing that could really help is signing up for some new s…

You're right. I think I realised that on some level, but I've just let this idea build up in my mind. I need to let it go, and start my journey of change.

Cheers man, I appreciate the response. I've always felt like it had to be something big to get out of my comfort zone, but you're right, it could be something as small as going to a new cafe. I used to push my comfort zone a fair bit, but after everything, I stopped. I need to get back on doing that.

I think you missed the point of my question. I don't want to go back to being a supplicating beta. But where I'm at right now, I am not expressive, like at all. I used to do me and put myself out there, even around new people and new situations. Now, in those new situations, or around new people, I sort of just sit there in silence. I don't enjoy anything anymore, I just go through life uninterested by everything, it's had a detrimental effect on my education, passions, hobbies, and even on my s…

Comparing that to what I've experienced, that's exactly what's been happening. I've not replied to her though. A small step, but a necessary one.

I'm not going to lie, I was having second doubts for a bit, but you're comment has cemented it for me. I'm ghosting immediately. Thanks man.

That's going to be hard, but I'll do it. Thanks for the help dude.

Yeah, that's the thing, now I'm trying to ghost, it's kind of like she's trying to keep my attention by putting more effort whenever we do actually talk. I'll definitely try that, and work on meeting more women as well, not exactly sure how to go about that though. Cheers for the advice though man, much appreciated.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
