Even if they can't afford a housekeeper, what's stopping them from doing the chores in the house they dirty? Why do so many have the mentality that a wife exempts them from basic chores. I feel like its a total bait and switch for some women. I've met some LVM, but even they kept their home clean and in order by themselves, its a basic of adulting.

Oh I saw this and got to where she quit her job so Jane could pursue hers and I just had to step away. I get called cold and selfish a lot of the time but at least o know there’s slim chance I’ll ever end up in this situation. Once she quit her job her husband and Jane knew they could do whatever the hell they wanted and OOP would be the one to make all the sacrifices of parenting for a love child.

I remember seeing this meme on ifunny(?) and even the men are roasting tf out of his dude. Don’t get me wrong, all men who boast about sex are trash, but why the fuck would anyone boast about not being able to help women achieve an orgasm? Thanks for letting us know in advance I guess?

Same! I somehow immediately thought she was trying to get rid of a stalker ex! Somehow that seemed more sane and understandable than what she actually did

I didn’t realise I had totally misread the title until your comment! I thought she had a fake wedding to get RID of her ex, not get his attention.

That’s what got me. She’s ready to divorce him but she only met his mom a weeks/months ago? I wonder what story he spun to make OP think not meeting his mom before marriage was normal.

My dads fear (my mom told me) was that a broke guy was gonna see my car and where my apartment building was and I would attract all these lazy scrotes. Even if you’re not 100% independent, men look at your lifestyle and assume dating you is a highway to an easy lifestyle upgrade. A man wanting you for you is going to pay for your dates and will not want to squat your apartment/drive your car as if it’s his right. Shit, my now fiancé did my chores when he was over, and had me drive his car to wor…

Word. An acquaintance finally got her boyfriend of 6 years to propose to her (after 5 years of living like a bangmaid) and she was so excited. That was 4 years ago and they’re still not married. And they can’t blame Covid because they’re in Western Australia and life has remained relatively normal over there. I don’t know if she wants kids but our 30s are 1-2 years away, I hope she doesn’t stick with him due to fear of not finding another partner in time to have a nuclear family.

Im in total agreement with you, particularly with the last paragraph. I used to regularly communicate my issues with the (ex) boyfriend I lived with and his favourite phrase was “get over it or leave” and sometimes he would laugh after saying it. I dumped him and got his crap out of the apartment. And all he would tell his family and friends, and anyone who would listen, was “it came out of nowhere, there was no explanation for it!” Meanwhile I was slowly coming to the realization that the break…

Because women are simply always insecure and paranoid and controlling and that’s why they snoop, (regardless of if they find proof of cheating) whereas men just have alpha wolf instincts and would never snoop unless they were 100% sure of infidelity and just needed the proof! It’s scary how unsurprised I am about this. Im more surprised that they bothered to take them to a hospital than bury them in the desert, as crass as that sounds. The comments adding info about it being filmed or a select target make my blood run cold though. I’ve never been to LA, but I used to live in Cannes. I know there are far more young women that go missing than is reported. All those movies glamourising meeting a rich guy and spontaneously summering on his yacht into international waters…

I’m happy to say I had no idea she even had a book, and happy to see that people are reading it with critical lenses are seeing double standards and hypocritical comments within the same sections. It’s like she tries too hard to be funny but her only references are painfully unfunny and uncharismatic guys who use insults as “jokes”.

I totally feel you on the short guy thing, even if I’m dating a guy shorter than me. It’s not a stereotype for no reason. Some remind me of aggressive lapdogs, so quick to anger and prove they’re not to be fucked with, but they just look rather unstable. Some many of them definitely have a Napoleon complex, or try to tear down your self esteem and confidence if you’re a tall woman. One guy I was getting to know literally said “I hate that you’re taller than me”. Or others are clearly out just to…

If OP doesn’t divorce him her sister will never again be the person OP could always turn to. This is a hill to die on. It’s absolutely going to lead to an ultimatum between her depraved husband or her sister (& possibly her entire family). ETA I know I should feel some level of pity for OP, but just the fact that she’s confused about what to do infuriates me. She should leave this man even more because she has a child, not despite of. That man is a sexual predator and the child, their friends an…

This is going to depend very much on where you live and what kind of relationship and lifestyle you and your fiancé have. There isn’t a one answer fits all for this. For me, civil partnerships are out of the question in France, (which is already quite sexist and outdated) due to our lifestyle. Marriage is the way to go for us. Marriage could actually facilitate my career and plans in a way that being a girlfriend or fiancée just wouldn’t. But we’re not going in blindly and dumbly. Lawyers are in…

I remember Chris Watts mon telling him she forgive him and love him. Ma’am, your son murdered his pregnant wife before murdering his young daughters and dropping them in oil tanks. It was really disheartening and rage inducing seeing all the “marriage counseling!” “You need to talk it through” comments. The man is negotiating his time off and wanting to spend as little time with his family and they’re suggesting marriage counseling. For WHAT? The marriage is dead as far as I’m concerned. He also plays D&D every other Sunday so he basically wants 3 days away from his family every week! And notice that he left the home on Friday and texted her like she was his shift manager …

And don’t forget how divorce would’ve resulted in a woman becoming a social pariah, yet it would still have been her duty to care for and raise the children somehow. The length of those marriages aren’t valid if the woman only stayed because she had no other option of survival and she had kids who’s well-being she put above hers.

Lord, he texted her when she left the house. Not called, or written a letter, or email. Just fucking texted her “adoption isn’t for everyone” as if this wasn’t a marriage ending scenario for her. The man is way too confident in himself and I hope she takes all she’s owed in the divorce.

Her song being “it’s ok to not be so skinny because men don’t want that!” Left me cold tbh. I never enjoyed it, it remained about pandering to the male gaze. Nah-uh, I’m not down for body positivity talks if it’s about women of different shapes competing for male attention 🤢

The only context given was her mother gave her the shirts, and then the not-fiancée booked the photoshoot. I’m assuming she’s the one who ordered the custom accessories too. What kills me it’s the wine glasses with “The Wilson’s.... eventually” with the promise ring from highschool.

Class rings aren’t a thing in Australia (or in other countries I went to school in), so Pandora would be the way to go. They’re only meant to be a placeholder until he can afford an engagement ring anyway.

Waiting to wed subreddit? I’m so curious about this! ETA: I found it and it’s damn near tragic reading some of these posts. Girl, 5 years in and he can’t even have an actual conversation about marriage? Time to leave. And the others who wear a non-wedding/engagement ring on THAT finger because they’re tired of waiting for him to propose? OOF the girl with a promise ring from 6 YEARS ago, having his babies! He’s never gonna marry her at this point, she’s delusional.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/01/21 02:11 PM

It was a wedding shaming group, so not much context was posted other than they’re high-school sweethearts and she booked the photoshoot after her mom supposedly gave her the shirts? I’m not sure why her mom would give her those shirts tbh. Or why they would go on to make other “future BlaBla” accessories.

Similar situation, not even a year in, My boyfriend was saving up for the ring, I’m the one telling him to hold off proposing just a tad longer. The proposal will probably be on our anniversary, I know it’s coming before summer haha. Men aren’t as clueless as some women like to pretend they are! They often know early on that they’ve met their future wife, they move their asses to marry her and provide for her, they don’t drive her to do gestures this.

That’s just embarrassing for her tbh. She’s still with him isn’t she, why should he care about some FB posts when he’s reaping the rewards? This is why FDS tells us to just leave/take action. Playing this passive aggressive game gets you no where, and men don’t give a fuck.

Like I said, prime pick me. Their entire wedding party knew they weren’t getting married for the right reasons. Hell the best man told the groom not to marry for money and the best man didn’t even give a speech at the wedding. She just wanted to marry her high school sweetheart. Yeah she’s the ultimate pickmeshia unfortunately, if she would’ve left him by now if she had an ounce of self worth.
