Thank you. This was something I needed to hear and I think this discussion has been bettered by your viewpoint.

Thank you. It's kind of insane the replies I've gotten so far in this thread. I was asking how to transition a flirty conversation into a # close with the context of it usually ending up flirting with girls at work. My bosses have actually encouraged me to try to get girls numbers when they see me flirting, and it alway starts with an innocent enough interaction. Half the time i'm just trying to entertain myself by connecting with customers. I'm asking for specific advice on how to round that co…

You'd be surprised to know this, but you didn't do anything wrong at all. You had a great time with a beautiful girl so. So much so that she invited you back to her place and had you stay over. You guys were out drinking and she must have known that you were rather drunk that night. Losing an erection is surprisingly uncommon, especially when a lot of alcohol has been consumed. Girls are more than aware of this, and she's most likely understanding of the situation. If she's not it's honestly rat…

I'd like to add that the fogging dialogue is just as pain inducing

That grocery store dialogue was seriously painful. That's not being assertive, that's being an ass to people working a menial job and failing to understand that floor level employees neither have the power or are in the position to deal with your problems. That individual cashier is not responsible for your problems, and even if they are culpable, lacks the power to do anything to help you. Demanding that you get help right then and there without moving is just being a self-entitled brat.

I work at a grocery store and I can promise you that everyone working there is checking out all the customers. Many of us actively flirt with customers we find attractive and would love to ask for numbers if it didn't mean risking our jobs. Remember that for us, outside of work there's very little risk to approaching/being forward, but if a customer complains about you hitting on them you can potentially get in serious trouble. The resume approach is a pretty crappy idea, however. Most places ar…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
