Is there some kind of context here...?

It is impossible for polygamy to be a gray area if Jesus Himself gave the definition for marriage (as you've stated above). Anything going against the divine pattern is sin.

Wouldn't this have come up before saying I do? Pre-marital counseling? As you've previously stated, divorce is not an option at this point (unless she has committed adultery after the vows have been exchanged).

How large of a decline would you say there has been? It's just sad to see so many "Christian" couples that adhere to the Biblical standard of marriage. No wonder why my cynicism is so high...

The higher your RMV/SMV, the more you can probably get away with. However, I don't think the answer is simply "raise your value bro". At the end of the day, it's going to be her choice to submit or rebel as it is the choice of submitting or rebelling against God. Some women simply won't submit no matter how high your value is...

Start small and build up your discipline. Other than that, there is no silver bullet and shortcuts for where I think you want to be later in life. My advice is to start today as time is going to pass regardless. Good luck.

I think you should write an article on Christians and polygamy. I'd be fascinated to hear how it is acceptable for Christians today.

To add to your point, Jesus gave the definition of marriage in Matthew 19. Is any man or woman who claim to be a true Christian going to argue against what the Son of the Living God said?

Hosea's wife. Hosea 1:2 refers to her, depending on your translation, as a promiscuous woman, a harlot, a whore or a prostitute.

V-taper needs work, in terms of BF and muscle but I have the shoulders down easy. Fitted shirts, yes. Style probably needs work, kinda of coin flip. Yes and in fact I find it easier with the masks because I can hold eye contact well. Conversation leading is easy and I know my charisma isn't there. I'm more about let's get to the point of the conversation and then conclude.

Isn't that what is pushed here, finding a virgin? Doesn't the data also suggest even 1 partner and your potential for divorce skyrockets? Not to mention you better be her "alpha" or you're in for a rough ride. I get the feeling you're beating around the bush telling me I'm screwed given the only thing I've ever publicly listed ha. Want to hear another one? This'll break rank with a lot in this sub but I won't date a women who drinks, even socially. Is that really asking for too much? A woman who…

I'm 6'4", 200ish lbs 14% BF. Maybe I should just ask out every single woman I can. What do I have to lose? I'm not seeing any interest so the problem is obvious. I guess I've spent too many years in the library instead of the field.

Y'all are too pessimistic. Sadly, I am and I'm far too pessimistic as you can tell. It is probably my biggest weakness because it bleeds into other areas of life. Curious, what general area to you live? Deep South? Midwest? I'd be somewhat shocked if it were the Northeast, PNW or West Coast. Appreciate the dialogue as always.

I'm more fit now than when I met my wife. When I met her I was probably 180 lbs and around 25% BF. The lifting I had done when I was 22-23 had mostly atrophied, but at least I just looked normal instead of scrawny like I did in college haha. Times have indeed changed both good and bad... I went to a large public university so not really the place you'd think to find Christian women. It just takes one but even that seems impossible. There isn't anymore than I can say other than I know. I know all too well. Going forward, take pride and excel in your work. Continue to lift (follow your lifts and nutrition to a T). Try new things if you can. Learn new skills for fun or cash or both. Drop motivation and take up discipline. Tempted to date a non-Christian? All. The. Time. Have I ever done it though? No, given what I've observed through college, non-Christian friends my age and TRP, it is highly unlikely I ever date a non-Christian. I have a very strict standard and 99% of women do not meet it (must be a virgin). I don't think 28 is old enough to give up yet. If I don't find someone by the time I'm 25 I probably will give up honestly. First thing, give up what exactly? There isn't a day goes by that I hope I could…

That's not how it works though. You don't "lose" when a woman marries another man. There's always more women. You do lose if you were initiating with a woman and she follows another man. No pedestalization here but you wouldn't be human if it didn't sting. Statistically, yes, there are always more women (and it only takes one :) ). Unfortunately, those same statistics are against me. If you're unhappy with the prospective women who are finding you attractive then dial in your training and nutr…

It's both for me. I can get dates with women who I don't think are very attractive. I did get one date with an attractive girl but she ghosted me after it. I do think lifting will help somewhat, cutting some bf, as will better fashion and confidence. I'm just another perspective (albeit a little jaded). I'm just tired of hearing the same line of "get more more X (jacked, style, etc etc)." I'm wondering if /u/throwawayme123454321 can't get dates as in rejection or can't find anyone worth dating? I find myself in the latter. OZ's article on why women in the church aren't attractive continues to be on point for my experience or there simply aren't any single women. I'm not sure I'd classify this as black pill (unless you're not putting in serious work/effort then yeah do it for 6 months and come see me). My wheels were spinning over a year ago. I guess that's what happens when there are virtually no guys or gals your age in the congregation I was apart of (I know, my fault). I would also add this is a prime example of why we have the Old Testament, to learn from, and in this case self-control. Samson just might be the antithesis of self-control in the Bible. There is also an irony that Samson should have quite literally crushed the Philistine nation into the Mediterranean but instead falls to woman, Delilah. You're not the only one. With everything that's already been said, I don't have much to add other than you've got to stay busy. I sympathize and I'm almost 28. I'll let you do the math on how long I've been waiting. Most guys I've met in the church were married by their mid-20s or left the church to pursue a lifestyle that you've been contemplating. I appreciate the response and honest feedback. Yeah, your lifts are low so you have a bunch of room to grow muscle. Generally, unless you're fairly muscular or husky already, women's attraction tends to wax and wane with BF%. I've noticed personally and written on it that you tend to start getting some interest at 12-15%, kicks up a notch at 10-12% and then you really start getting a bunch generally at 7-10% cause you see more and more muscle definition. It's easier if you make it a mindset. If you're standing in line at a store, make some small talk. Like I said in the comment you replied to, you should be doing this anyway for evangelism and discipleship purposes. Being able to talk with anyone about anything and especially your faith makes things pretty simple with asking out women. It's conquering some of the same fears. Going further from your comment, God didn't have to bless Job again. God could have left Job as he was and God would still be in the right because He is God. Sometimes I wonder if it would have been better not to have blessed Job so Job's trials would have meant a lot more (at least to me). Kind of a fool's hope sometimes because we can look to Job and say "when will I be restored?" or "when do I receive my blessing?". God's reply (Job 38-40) doesn't really answer his "why" questions, at least…

Be open to a relationship if it potentially comes up but don't go out of your way as it's usually the case that the women who are interested when you're establishing yourself aren't the ones many men are interested.
