Im sorry bro. I understand your situation. My only advice is to frame your hook up with that chick as a result of your problem, in writing, and get it to her. Then you have a solid base from which you can tell her to fuck off

pretty cool that description falls a little short when you consider sex is literally the only reason men ultimately put up with women, their drama, their lies, their bullshit, their possessiveness, their insanity, their...

Lol I agree with you mostly. Part of the reason I haven’t dumped this one is because she’s not completely obsessed with her beliefs, and this shit is only part of who she is. I can ignore some things. Also she can take criticism (of which I’ve administered a shocking amount of) and I respect that enough to at least give it another few months

Shit dude I bet that’s awful. Im pretty lucky where we live. Lots of good people up here and these kinds of overblown responses are more of things we make fun of than we actually see

I liked the argument, and I shared this one here for the sake of education. I don't feel powerless or annoyed. I just feel like I got a chance to work out the thinky boi upstairs

Good question. First, there's more to her than her personality than her politics. Also, I didn't know her political beliefs when we started out. I'm agreeable enough as a person to ignore these types of things. We typically dont chat about politics. On the flipside, I dont really like relationships and I am looking for an out, but she's simply been too good of a girlfriend to dump over politics, so it's tough. I'm making it right for myself by sleeping around anyways lol

Thats a tough thing to realize. My way of coping with my exes history was to just focus on the feeling of the first sexual encounter before I knew anything, then consider that the only actual difference between now and then was my own mind. Not great advice, but I found it helpful. Best wishes.

Love the post! Book recommendation linked in body of text Here's my largely uninformed input. I have relatively little trouble with women except that I get myself in trouble when I date one and hook up with another or something of that nature. I don't fixate on any women... I dropped that habit due to fear of rejection. I instead, after some awkward teenage years, learned to read people. I did this partially from internet articles, college classes in criminal behavior/interrogation, and partiall…

New to this sub. Very interesting. I agree with you central point as I agree with one of the central tenets of a few different philosophical school of thought: If you can be unmoved by/unattached to positive influence, you will be less moved by negative influence

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
