Women who like beardless men are pedos by that logic...
/r/MensRights09/05/26 11:45 PM

My standard response is: "so being attracted to a man with no beard is pedophilic, only boys have no facial hair. Same with bald men. Also men shouldn't be attracted to women with short hair, only baby girls have short hair. No one should be attracted to women with small breasts either because young girls are flat-chested". It's the dumbest thing in the world.

Women LOVE to tell men what men's lived experience is. "Men can get away with x" "men never have to experience y" "you don't know what it's like being a woman! We have to deal with z!" YOU'RE NOT A MAN SO STOP ACTING LIKE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT WE GO THROUGH!

First off, I never said "they are the only ones who cares about people". I said, in my experience, that is what I've noticed. Not just from lip service, from actions. Like I said, focusing on right vs. left isn't productive, focus on actions of individual people, and in doing so, this is the trend I've noticed. You're not gonna gaslight me into thinking otherwise, but if your experience is truly different, then I'm not arguing with that (but clearly you do wanna argue, which was exactly my point…

I said "my experience" for a reason. I'm not gonna gaslight myself into thinking otherwise just because you don't agree.

In my experience, the "left" is much more likely to help/stand up for men because the left actually cares about people and therefore, is more likely to care about men. But every time I point that out here, I get downvoted so I dunno what to tell y'all anymore. I personally think this constant focus on left vs. right in this sub just creates tension, driving away left-leaning men and creating an echo chamber. At some point you have to ask yourself if you're more concerned with fighting and compla…

rampant immigration of third world migrants, Yup, racist dogwhistle. Every time. just look around I told you, I have looked. Not seeing any of this. Provide sources to your claims. Literally everyone I know has a job, I and several people I know have had more raises/promotions in the last couple years than in our entire lives. What province are you in if you don't mind answering? I also love the people who shit on "elbows up". So rather than defend yourself you'd rather just submit and let the U…

Good lord what is this post? I'm Canadian and almost never experience what you're describing. You also sound like some Alberta-separatist Trump-worshipper. This is either a psyop, or you've actually bought into all the FB propaganda that gets pushed by MAGA- and Russia-funded entities. the entire country is falling apart Wtf is this? Where is this "falling apart" I keep seeing referenced? Pretty sure this is just a racist dogwhistle. Every day I look outside waiting for the horrible dystopia y'a…

Obviously everyone knows about the drone policy, but if you're going to apply "enemies" (note the quotations) then that point is pretty much moot because name a president that DIDN'T order killing people in other countries (note, this includes sending soliders) in the last 30 years. I'll concede the point about Biden, that's bullshit. And the whole "nominating a candidate that no one voted for" isn't exactly a black mark because it backfired horrifically and is pretty universally decried as a ba…

Then clearly you haven't heard of outright killing them, because just being male and "military aged" warrants summary execution, as per Obama I have not, would love a source on this. Democrats are worse. That is certainly a take considering the state of the world and the US in particular.

This is what I personally did and believe is the best option. I literally got a congressional candidate to produce a campaign video featuring me So you got them to pander to you so you could sell yourself out into supporting a crazy, fascist, warmongering agenda? So tell me, what good for men ACTUALLY came from your efforts? Cuz all it sounds like you accomplished was being featured in a video glazing that candidate.

Extremely libertarian. Believes taxes are theft. Gun nut. Hates any and all government interference in personal lives (this includes women's rights and bodily autonomy and all that), reads and recommends feminist literature, and very frequently posts man-hating content (even though she's married). The only feminist I've ever met that blames men for everything is extremely conservative. Edit: downvotes for providing my experience eh? Doesn't surprise me, this whole sub has gone to shit. And I can absolutely verify that the less hateful, more empathetic, more kind, and more supportive of others I've become has also opened the floodgates for enormous positivity and a better life in every way. So guess we're at an impasse and it has nothing to do with being left or right and everything to do with what kind of person you are.

You don't have a point. Your point is that you don't like pronouns and you think there's some weird conspiracy around pronouns. I'm not gonna try and use logic on someone who's opinion was formed illogically. Pronouns don't affect your life negatively one iota. So YOU stfu cuz you literally sound like a whining child.

You know what terms never existed 15 years ago when I first joined this sub? "The far left", "the far right", "leftists", "right-wingers". This is all made up shit that doesn't accurately describe any real person. It's this weird way of grouping a bunch of people you don't like together when none of them really self-identify as that term. It's just an insult, but a really fucking lazy one. Anyone who says "there are only two sexes" is probably hateful because they're willfully ignoring the fact that the argument is that there are multiple genders. So either you don't understand the difference, or you're so hateful you're choosing to ignore the actual argument.

In my experience, people who are terminally online are a) not the majority, b) often just ragebaiting for likes, c) are literally just bots also fuelling the ragebait. I keep myself aware of online trends because I don't want to be ignorant, but almost no one I run into IRL actually has those opinions/acts like that, so I put exactly as much stock into those trends as they deserve (very fucking little).

And and of the millions of movies and TV shows made, most of them are garbage anyway. My point is you don't have to watch anything you don't want to, and you're not gonna wanna watch most of it, male- or female-centric. Notice how I said "one single physical factor". If you are basing your attraction or lack thereof on one single physical thing, yes, you're shallow. I never said "date someone you're not attracted to" I said "learn to find more things to be attracted to".
/r/MensRights10/09/25 12:41 PM

Ok but I don't understand how one single physical factor can kill your entire attraction to someone? I've dated fat girls, girls with small boobs, girls with small butts. None of those are my preference, but there were other things to be attracted to. I'm sorry but if one physical trait kills your attraction to someone, then you're just shallow, and you should be called out and shamed for that. They're not preferences, they're deal-breakers and that's the problem. I can "prefer" brunettes, I can "prefer" D cups, I can "prefer" skinny girls, but refusing to date anyone who doesn't match those preferences is just moronic.

Yup, I've noticed that over the past couple years that this sub is going to shit, and I've been subbed for a long time. It's slowly devolving into the caricatures of what the outside world views MRAs as: whiny losers who don't have any legitimate complaints. I genuinely HATE the term "incel" because it doesn't mean what it should anymore. But people in this sub need to stop acting like what the average person thinks of when they think of "incel".

I've been subscribed to this sub a long time, almost 15 years. And I remember back then the internet would always caricaturize MRAs as whiny bitches who don't care about real issues and call them "meninists" (literally nobody used that term to identify themselves). Nowadays, half the posts on this sub sound EXACTLY like those caricatures they were using to make fun of us. It's getting really hard to sympathize with this movement when we allow shit like this to invade.

Good lord this subreddit has gone to absolute shit. This has nothing to do with men's rights, and makes you sound like you gargle Andrew Tate's balls. Also, my fiancée has tons of tattoos and she's literally the best woman I know. She's the antithesis of all the feminist/modern dating garbage we rail against here. If I would have dismissed her because of her tattoos, I would have missed out. Unnecessarily shrinking your dating pool makes you LESS likely to find a good partner, so I can't imagine…

What the fuck does this have to do with men's rights? Edit: stop downvoting me, this doesn't have anything to do with men's rights. Well the first problem is that "incel" has lost all meaning. It's supposed to mean "involuntary celibate" which literally is just another way of saying "virgin". However now I means "man who can't get laid and is angry at the world and hates women". They've added this negative context which is completely separate from one's sexual status. Now here's the thing, any time you ever have something negative to say about women, people will call you an incel. Regardless of whether you're married, in a r…

Dude, pump your brakes, you're being insanely hostile for zero reason. My point is that it started a long time ago, but the difference between now and then is that people kinda buried their head in the sand/were more ignorant so the assumption was that it was all "hard work". Even Hulk Hogan ("eat your veggies, take your vitamins"), and Rocky 4 (showing Ivan Drago taking steroids in contrast to Rocky's "functional training", despite the fact that Sly was juiced to the gills) are perfect examples…
/r/MensRights13/01/25 10:55 PM

when movie stars started to take steroids Are you saying that Arnold, Sly, Carl Weathers, and almost every wrestler of the 70s and 80s weren't on gear? They always were, it's just less swept under the rug.

Just know, as soon as someone goes through your post history to dig up dirt on you, you've won. They have no actual counter-argument and they cannot refute the things you're saying, so they try and attack your character because if they can associate you with something "bad" then they don't need to actually address whatever it is you're saying. It's some of the most low-rent behavior imaginable.

You did not spend too long. This was great and very similar to my own situation. But the undervalue/vetting thing is key. I personally know very few divorced people, so that 50% thing feels like an exaggeration, or maybe refers to other countries/areas/socioeconomic statuses.
/r/MensRights21/11/24 03:41 PM

Because the assumption is that the patriarchy exists, it's only men in power, it's men who got them there, so men are responsible for whether or not women have those rights.

1) "validate their feelings" is a common thing in psychology, I dunno how you can argue that we can't "validate emotions" when it's literally common practice. 2) I love how you deliberately avoided addressing my example that shows that some opinions and feelings ARE objectively stupid/wrong. 3) What's the logical path? No you actually don't... because you hold zero authority over how they feel...how someone states they feels is subjective so there is zero objective measure to rate whether or not it is an over reaction "Omg I hate blacks so much I feel disgusted just looking at them why do they get the same rights as us?" So we cannot say that's an overreaction because we have zero authority on how they feel? We're supposed to just validate that "feeling"? Nah bro, some opinions and feelings are not valid. If a…

I've recently had a thought... It's widely accepted that "fat-shaming" isn't a good way to make people lose weight. And slut-shaming/kink-shaming/LGBT-shaming aren't good ways of making people not engage in whatever sexual behaviors those refer to. So why do people think that incel-shaming is a good way to make people less... incel-y? Because it's ok and encouraged to shame straight men. That's all there is to it.
/r/MensRights05/10/24 11:57 PM

Well you're not coming up with a better explanation so this all seems like desperate attempts to unsully his name. And it's common practice to use the stem cells in foreskins to make facial creams and such so these companies pay doctors to harvest them. Because if there aren't enough "benefits to recommend it" then why do doctors constantly recommend it? Follow the money.

"Heroic men who will intervene?" Lady, how many rapes do you think the average man casually stumbles across day-to-day? Let alone in a lifetime? It's like Schroedinger's hero. Basically 90% of men are predators or at least somewhat complicit until they actively intervene, but how do you know who will intervene? 99.9999% probably never get the opportunity. It's an impossible standard to meet and an excuse to paint all men as bad.
/r/MensRights17/08/24 08:03 PM

That doesn't necessarily disprove my point though. The point of my comment is that the west doesn't really do it for any logical or even religious reason anymore, it's just been ingrained in the culture (due to Kellogg) and continues to be supported by the medical research industry which pays big money for foreskins.
/r/MensRights17/08/24 07:46 PM

Exactly! I know piercing babies' ears is becoming more common, but when I was young, when a kid was like 6-8 they'd be like "mommy and daddy, can I get my ears pierced?" And then you could explain to them what that entailed and explain that it hurts and all that. Same thing with gender-affirming surgery. The child WANTS it done. BABY BOYS DON'T GET THAT OPTION WHEN YOU MUTILATE THEIR PENIS BEFORE THEY CAN EVEN SPEAK, LET ALONE MAKE INFORMED CHOICES!
/r/MensRights16/08/24 12:20 PM

The west is weird. It started from puritanical, religious, anti-masturbatory intents by Mr. Kellogg and now that it's become so widespread, nobody knows why we do it, but women say they prefer it so it keeps happening.

So it's actually kind of funny because one client groped my chest and I basically was like "hey, you should ask for consent before doing that" (I knew she was a more progressive type so I figured that word would resonate with her) and at first, again, she thought I was joking, but I let her know I was dead serious and told her to imagine the scenario flipped, and that kinda stuck with her. So now she always asks consent. I always give it, but it's the principle of it that matters to me.

In the bar I've had my junk grabbed. But the worst actually is just work. I've had coworkers and clients grope my chest and shoulders and grab/slap my ass. I even called one of them out on it and the 3 women who were present at the time just laughed it off like I was joking.

What is with women and acting like they know the male experience more than men? Like, I think it's fair for men to not presume to understand the female lived experience, so why do they CONSTANTLY do it to us? Bitch, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE RAPED AS A MAN BECAUSE YOU AREN'T ONE! You dont know what it's like to live in our shoes. You need a license to drive a car, you don't need a license to have sex. A license implies a level of proficiency and accepting responsibility for negligence and accidents. The interesting part is that feminists are always parroting the rhetoric that "women aren't allowed to show negative emotions, showing anger isn't ladylike, they get told to calm down, etc, etc" but in my experience, the opposite is true. Women are allowed to express any emotion they want, and being angry seems to always be justified. Where are all these men who are "allowed" to be angry? I've never felt like I was allowed to express anger. And that's the biggest issue I have with feminism; thus…

You're the one who is arguing. Being skeptical of old data isn't an "argument". This is the problem with a lot of people. They cherry-pick data, and then get a personal attachment to the results. I don't have any horse in this race other than I don't trust old data on social sciences, for any study showing any conclusion, and am simply encouraging others to do the same. You've already decided that this is all the evidence you need, and I never said it was wrong or even that I believed that the c…

I think there's a lot of factors at play. Culture, age, location, etc. In my experience, the women who have less respect for physical boundaries are mostly older (would have been adults in 1998) whereas millennial women tend to understand and respect consent going both ways. I can't speak for younger generations. And I realize this is all anecdotal, which is why I'm simply skeptical of 25-year old data (as we all should be) and would be curious to see what it would look like now. I'm not even "b…

Not "dodging". Studies are meant to be analyzed, understood, and the context matters. Looking for faults and shortcomings in studies is a good thing, because you don't get better data by simply accepting everything at face value. You're being very antagonistic and I don't think it's that outlandish to take a 25-year old study on a social science topic with a grain of salt. I'm not completely dismissing this study, I'm simply curious to see what more modern data would look like. And I don't see h…

There's no such thing as being "more" or "less" of any gender. You either are or aren't. Gender is what you identify as and therefore, you define the parameters of that.

Looking through someone's post history to dig up dirt or try and glean "what kind of person they are" is the most low-rent, bottom of the barrel, pathetic behavior. There's this weird narrative where women/feminist will claim some version of "x happens to men, but y happens to women" or "when x happens to men you get y, but when x happens to women you get z". Apparently women know men's lived experience, yet will claim we don't understand theirs. The thing is, whatever they claim is happening to women, happens to EVERYONE. Being told to smile. Hot take: most "boundaries" in a relationship are a sham and just an excuse to push people away and fail to grow and mature as a person. Most boundaries are based on insecurities and mental health issues. Go see a therapist and sort your shit out. And people will say stuff like "boundaries are for you, not for your partner" but then it boils down to "the threat of leaving them if they don't respect your boundaries will hopefully keep them in line". That's why I said 40 (maybe 30). But again, your levels are gonna be dropping no matter what, so yes, the plan is to be on it long term. You'll feel better and most likely be healthier longer because of it, so there would be no reason to stop.

I mean, I'm not a doctor, so take this stuff with a grain of salt. We're talking TRT, which is a very low dose. There's no reason to believe a small dose would permanently destroy your natural production. I'm gonna assume that every bodybuilder who's taking huge amounts of gear isn't permanently screwed in natural test production once they come off. Your T levels are on the decline probably by age 30, so why would you want to stop? The point is to keep them high for the rest of your life so yes,…

Eh, getting literally chopped in half and crushed would be way too gruesome for Marvel/Disney. Technically their deaths were MORE gruesome than the men's, and as such couldn't be shown. Using photo/video-based social media (IG, Snapchat, TikTok) frequently is a sure, literally textbook, sign of narcissism. Anyone with a reasonably high IQ can and should be able to see that it simultaneously fuels your narcissism and lowers your self-esteem so therefore, people who use it frequently are either accepting the damage it does, or are too stupid to see the damage it does.

If we go around assuming rape at every opportunity, we're no better than feminists. There's no evidence of rape, therefore we need to assume it never happened, which is the same treatment we expect as men. I don't deny that the double standard exists and is bullshit, and I even said in another post that the fact that the people never actually refuted the claim and just said "don't care" is pretty fucked up.

Again, since you can't read: AS IT PERTAINS TO MEN'S RIGHTS, NONE OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES ARE REALLY ANY BETTER CHOICES THAN TRUDEAU FOR THE VARIOUS REASONS I MENTIONED. Well you're talking about nationality, I'm talking about race. It's not a raceless question. In fact, it wasn't a question at all. My point is that I don't believe he will be very sympathetic to men's rights issues. I feel that as a visible minority, and the fact that he's running NDP, means he is most likely to cater/pander to other visible minorities and women. If you have any proof to discredit that opinion of mine, please present it, as I'd love to see it and be proven wrong. I don't underst…

Scheer literally wants to give tax breaks to people who send their children to Christian private schools, and has voted against abortion and gay marriage bills in the past. No mention of Bernier because he's so forgettable that I forgot he was even a viable candidate. But he may be the only candidate that would habe any sympathies towards men's rights. Ethnicity and gender have to do with their chances of helping our cause. I'm not saying Trudeau is a good choice, I'm saying if you want to vote …

It's not about men's right to sex, it's highlighting that men typically feel sexually unsatisfied in their marriages and that 57% of them apparently feel like it would be a "gift" on a special occasion because of the rarity.

The only people with true privilege are people with money. The point of this post isn't to have a pissing war of who has it worse, it's to show that what most people consider "privilege" isn't really "privilege" and therefore, talking about male/white/straight privilege is moot.

Bill Burr was on Conan and basically said that people don't respect due process and that social media is ruining the justice system. Someone brought up Johnny Depp and a few people were like "well we don't know because the lawyers could have made it all up" exactly proving the point of this post. Then you'd have to assume that certain feminine norms also are harmful, and then have to create toxic femininity. To be perfectly honest, "toxic" is such a buzzword. You could change it to "shitty behavior" and it would work fine, but some assholes just need to add gender to everything.

Except women can climb on top, and a man does not need to be awake for his dick to get hard. My original point still stands and again, you're saying that arousal of the male assumes consent, which it doesn't, and that's why it's a double standard.
/r/MensRights02/02/18 07:54 PM
5

My point is YOU CAN'T ASSUME CONSENT BASED ON AN AROUSED SEXUAL ORGAN. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ORIGINALLY SAID WHEN YOU SAID "suppose the double standard is based on biological differences." Like, I don't understand how you've managed to turn this around on me when you were the one with the shitty argument in the first place. Like did you literally just forget what you were arguing?

If you feel the reaction would he different if genders were flipped, then it's a double standard. Regardless of how you feel about the morality of the actual situation, it's the double standard that irks people.

What? As someone who has coached high-school age kids for 11 years, you do not tell them they're the greatest. Just an fyi, in Filipino culture, dark skin on women is seen as a negative because it implies a low social standing because those with dark skin work outside in the fields. Basically it says "I'm a peasant". I live in Canada and my city has a lot of Filipinos and Filipina women will tease and bully those with darker skin and a lot of them still refuse to spend time in the sun because of how it will affect their skin even though they're middle-class and live in a western country.

And this is coming from someone who has worked at a variety of gyms in the past 5 years, but any woman who is SERIOUS about improving their fitness and getting strong, gives zero fucks about having women's-only time. Oh they most likely did. My original comment was about how it depends on the character of the woman who is being harmed. When the character is a dangerous ice-queen, then they tend to allow a male protagonist to hurt/kill her. When she is not a villain or particularly "evi, then that changes.
/r/MensRights29/12/13 09:54 PM

Once again, all depends on the context. Lucy McClane was a helpless captive, wouldn't do well to have her beat and tortured. Plus she was only meant to be used to deter John, the villain didn't actually wish her ill. But when the villain is a woman, they don't tend to hold back much when the male protagonist is fighting her.

Not true. In Die Hard 4 John McClane beats the shit out of/kills that Asian woman. In Goldeneye, James Bond does the same to Xenia. I think the situation OP is describing is different because the woman in the scene was not a "bad-ass bitch trying to kill him".

I think sometimes men freaking out about tall women happens because of this double standard. They know that women in general prefer taller guys, so when you wear heels and are taller than them, they feel less adequate, as if now they aren't on your radar anymore and you'll begin to look at taller guys because the shorter guys have now become less noticeable. I personally don't care about height and wouldn't have a problem dating a taller girl, it's just that because I know women like taller men,…

The only really potential thing I can think of is sports. In women's hockey, there's no hitting (that really fucking pisses me off actually, what possible reason is there for that?), generally less funding all around for sports (this is an assumption, I have no evidence to back this up and could very well be wrong), and possibly less opportunities to play. You'd be pretty hard pressed to find a similar incident as this with women, this is somewhat of an anomaly. That being said, you see nudity in art all the time. This has nothing to do with men's rights, why is this here and why is it getting upvoted? If a newspaper wants to publish pictures of vaginas, they can. I've seen plenty of nudity from both sexes in university newspapers, it's what university newspapers do. They think being super "artsy" and controversial is real journalism. So while I think this is stupid, it has nothing to do with men's rights. edit: according to my sensor here, jimmies have most definitely been rustled.

Even when you look at fitness models/competitors you see very low body fat percentages, and not copious amounts of muscularity. These are still clearly healthy women. The fact is, there DO exist fashion models that look like this. I guarantee there aren't any …

Why do you think that this comparison picture is unfair? The whole point of it is to show that men have these same insecurities and there is just as much bombardment in the media about what men should look like or what women find attractive.

I think you are confusing some of the terms. The anorexic ladies everyone refers to are the runway models that wear all those crazy clothes by French/Italian designers. Nobody thinks those women are attractive. In contrast, a Vicoria's Secret model pretty much can't be anorexic because she's modelling bras and panties. When one is anorexic, they do not have much in the way of breasts or gluteal development, which isn't going to look flattering in lingerie, which in turn, won't sell a whole lot o…

naturally healthy women I would disagree. At this point in our society's evolution, few people practice anything that could be considered "naturally healthy". A fitness model is probably much closer to "naturally healthy" because she exercises and probably doesn't eat too many carbs.

Yes, but that still doesn't make the music "manufactured, bleached pop", it simply means you cannot/choose not to have an emotional response to the music. Art is very subjective. You know that the moment you resort to shaming, your argument immediately becomes weaker right? The comic does, in fact specify that men don't have rights that are taken away, and I already told you how it does, so I'm not going to repeat myself. If the author wasn't going for a "women are victims but men aren't" tone, then he or she should have found a different way to convey that message. Because the author did not, whether you like it or not, the message is clearly a sexist one.

Of course it's about the abortion debate in North Dakota, nobody is questioning the context, it's pretty crystal clear. However, that doesn't make the "oh, looks like I'm going to be a girl" line any less sexist. Once again, that's not missing the point, that's just pointing out the fact that, according to the comic, only women ever have rights taken away. It's a simple solution: if woman wants to keep and man doesn't, then he has choice to opt out, relinquishing his financial and legal responsibility for the child. Nobody is forced to have an abortion, everybody gets to keep their body ownership. You never answered my question, you just stated the obvious: What I'm trying to get you (and everyone else) to realize is that once the pregnancy exists you've lost your ability to choose. You've given it to her. Your ability to choose starts and ends with your decision to have sex. That's where your rights are strongest and if you choose not to think then it your own fault. No, you're advocating that men should "man up and pay that child support! It's YOUR fault she's pregnant" which is a mindset we're trying to eliminate. If both parties are equally responsible for creating a child (it takes a man and a woman to make a fetus, unless you're using a lab) then how come only one party has the choice of opting out of that responsibility? Please answer me that, please take 2 minutes to form an actual cogent argument and answer that question.

Yup, my sister is a supposed feminist and she was going off about a transwoman (male to female) playing in her football league. I was like: way to go, you and your entire community managed to reject someone who wants nothing more than to be accepted by you... Great feminism right there

i edited it, no one was hospitalized but some kids were not only threatened throughout the week, some were ganged up on and assaulted while being verbally harassed, effectively traumatizing them to some degree
/r/MensRights29/06/12 04:24 AM

when did i say i wasn't? but seriously, on that note, being a redhead is seen as desirable... if you're a woman. if you're a man you're usually seen as ugly, creepy, and inferior and for the record: if i WAS a chick, i'd be hot as fuck
/r/MensRights29/06/12 02:23 AM

edit: except "national kick a ginger day" ended up being "national assault redheaded kids and traumatize them day" just imagine "national kick a nigger day", now imagine if such a day had the same consequences that i outlined above.

I'm a redhead and get called ginger all the time. While it's not like redheads have been enslaved or anything, there is an overall societal negativity towards redheads and they are generally seen as inferior or creepy. It does not offend me when I'm called it, but when I see things like "national kick a ginger day" and other uses of ginger in a negative context, it does worry me slightly

i was being hyperbolic to prove a point you asked the rhetorical question "how hard is it to believe that some women like games?" and I answered with the argument that explains the phenomenon. few guys have MET girls that actually are into video games. that's not my logic, i know they exist, but i only know like 3 girls that actually do, so i find that they are quite rare, and i'm not the only guy who feels this way either

Well it is true they are not equivalent in degree, MGM happens much more often and is an accepted practice in most of the developed world

actually, male circumcision happens vastly more often than female genital mutilation, so which one really is worse and more deplorable?

but why would "women" refer to "average woman who does not commit rape" yet "man" would refer to "all men, including rapists" really comes down to a misunderstanding of who is included when this person says "man" and "women". not trying to argue, just trying to explain the confusion
/r/MensRights11/04/12 05:13 PM

but the original statement was "women can stop rape just as much as any man" so if we agree that women can be rapists too, then women (rapists) have just as much power to stop rape as men (rapists) do

here's my thoughts: if women truly respected men, one or many would have jumped in. as a woman, knowing that a man cannot successfully defend himself against a woman, i would have tackled that bitch and performed a citizen's arrest. a man may not be able to hit a woman, but there is absolutely nothing stopping a woman from defending a man AGAINST a woman. so it would be really nice to see a video where a woman were to actually step in. ladies, it is your JOB to step in in cases like this
/r/MensRights31/03/12 04:08 PM
2

not that i have actual experience in this, but i would assume that a lot of "men defending themselves and getting arrested" cases involve situations where there is no proof of what actually transpired. people automatically sympathize with the woman. i would think that with this video evidence, if he had defended himself, while he may have gotten arrested, with a decent lawyer, there's no way any judge could disagree with her being the primary assaulter and him simply acting in self-defence. i kn…

i never said that a man should not get upset about a woman touching him inappropriately (although, inappropriate is kind of subjective)... i said men, FOR THE MOST PART, don't care i never said none of them care, i also never said that any of them should or shouldn't care, it's up to them to decide what i said was that if you are touched inappropriately, whether you're male or female, you probably shouldn't freak out about it since "inappropriate" is so subjective. if this happens, i think most …

it did raise some good points, i didn't think it was too bad the only thing i didn't like was about how you should bring it to everyday live and it's essentially saying "don't convince anyone to do anything". ya i get it if someone doesn't want to do something, they shouldn't be forced, but think of all the times someone tried to convince you to do something, you eventually gave in, and it turned out to be fun or enjoyable. that part seems like it'll never work

neither really the fact is, men for the most part, don't care about their ass or junk being grabbed, and women for the most part, do care about their ass or boobs being grabbed. now i have a hard time believing that women are biologically hardwired to get offended at these acts, so i'm inclined to believe this is a social construct. this is a question that can never really be answered. "should men get upset when a woman grabs their ass?"... "yes"... "why?"... "because women get upset when men gr…

i never said she's a golddigger, i'm saying those are the physical things that marriage entails. you don't get anything more out of it, so you may draw what conclusions you will from that. as a non-american, i don't know who those people are and frankly don't care, but once again, you're using ad hominem and saying "homosexual" is bigoted by association, which is bullshit. i have lots of gay friends and i don't bring up their sexual orientation in front of them, but nevertheless, they have never…

she would only be doing them solo if she broke up with him. if her qualm was with getting deported, she would have specifically said that. what she said is that she would probably have to go home because she would have no reason to stay with him if he didn't marry her (which is my whole point). also, you don't have to get married to get a green card, you can apply for citizenship your "having kids" argument doesn't really hold up because that has to do with raising a family and actually DOING so…

perhaps my title was a bit misleading. i never really thought she was a golddigger, but i just couldn't fathom any other reason for all this pressure to get married. i know it's important to a lot of people (mostly women, once again, not sure why) but it seems to always be for the wrong reasons or for no reason, simply because they've been brainwashed to think that's a desirable goal

women giving undue pressure on men that they're supposedly "in love with" to get married for no conceivable reason other than to say "we're married"? sounds like at least somewhat of a men's rights issue it seems that (most of the time anyway, not saying it's always this way) but the pressure is always from the woman. i constantly hear women in LTRs going "omg i wanna get married! i can't wait till he proposes!" etc etc, but i've never once heard a man say the same thing and then you get article…

maybe it's just where i live, but a friend of mine hooks up with random girls all the time and does it bareback, never got an STD also, someone who you are in a relationship with or have gone on a few dates with is just as likely to have one, it's not like the 3-5 dates you went on make his penis clean, so you would say that the "reward" of having sex with an attractive person one to several times DOES outweigh the risk of getting an incurable STD?

but like i said, depends on how you define slut i'd have no problem having a relationship with a "slut" so long as she's faithful, having a lot of sex with different people doesn't mean you cheat on your boyfriends
/r/MensRights05/01/12 08:12 PM

guess it just depends on what your definition of "understand" is predicting, knowing, and being able to manipulate don't necessarily mean "understand" but i do get what you're trying to say

no, my point is that Hawking only says that women are a complete mystery because he's a guy (also, he's a physicist, women aren't really his expertise), but there's plenty of women who don't "understand men" and all us men go "what's so hard to understand?" fact is, nobody understands anybody, because we're all individuals with our own beliefs, fears, and emotions. we're all little snowflakes
/r/MensRights05/01/12 07:19 PM

and like, i caused an absolute shitstorm, i'm still getting backlash people are saying i hate women because society teaches men they have to pay for dates and that their lives are inferior to women's umm, no, i hate society for that, and i don't see how anyone can deny that it's true...

ok, that's fair, but they don't know this women so yes, THEY would, but this woman's friends, who actually know her as a person probably don't so i don't see how these women who have only seen this woman one time (and will probably never see her again) are suppressing her sexuality. like i said, maybe i just don't know what suppression of sexuality is, i'm just unsure of what this article is really driving at other than "women get jealous of hot chicks"
/r/MensRights05/01/12 06:17 PM
4

i agree fully so just abolish the word slut? i mostly only hear women use that term, it was a woman who taught me that term, so i stand by my statement that women are guilty of slut-shaming much more often than men
/r/MensRights05/01/12 06:14 PM
2

that's my point, there should be a concise definition
/r/MensRights05/01/12 05:42 PM
2

i don't know? is it someone who has a lot of sexual partners? or is it someone who dresses in revealing clothing? regardless, from my experience, most men love sluts (just not unfaithful sluts who they are dating), women HATE sluts, especially when they are one
/r/MensRights05/01/12 05:36 PM
12

oh, women definitely are, men love sluts but then again, depends what your definition of "slut" is that's another thing i find interesting, what is the exact definition of "slut" because i feel this "slut shaming" thing may not be targeted at "sluts" in reality
/r/MensRights05/01/12 05:30 PM

not sure this belongs under mensrights but i couldn't help but notice the article is written under the assumption that only men buy engagement rings, but i guess that's true right?

As far as I'm concerned most of you are a stone's throw away from being as bad as nazis, middle east misogynists who kill women in streets, etc. yes, let's discriminate against men because that's ok seriously, you're comparing a group of people that advocate for total equality for all genders, races, sexualities, cultures, etc to NAZIS? do you even understand what it means to be a nazi???

well yes, the guy shouldn't have tried to guilt-trip her, but it's the way she generalizes that all nice guys just use it as an excuse to sleep with girls that really offends me Of course, he only pursues beautiful women precisely because he would wish to only associate himself with beautiful women: your looks are his status. and i'm sure she approaches ugly guys all the time... the irony being that if he was better-looking she wouldn't have been so cold to him

my favorite is her term: "healthy masculinity" i love how women think they can say what masculinity is and should be

conclusion: feminists are just women that either get hit on way too much and hate men for it, or don't get hit on enough and hate men for it

i have his book, it's funny, but i obviously didn't take a damn word of it seriously in reality, the best parts were not when he bashed women, but when he was talking about how awesome it was to be a man plus there's female comedy all over the place where the overall gist is "women are better than men", and i personally think that ALL genders need to learn to take a joke a little better

relevant: hanging out at boston pizza with a bunch of friends last night, one of my buddies is getting sexts from this girl, she wants him to drive across town to see her. he tells her no, he's hanging out with friends, it's late, he's watching the football game, he'll see her tomorrow her response: "goodnight" and then stopped talking to him, i'm sure she's just thrilled with him

another reason why i'm not a fan of religion, but needless to say, condoms as a method of disease control certainly doesn't seem to be feasible in africa

you don't wanna be touched there by a professional who does this for a living? then you can deliver your own goddamn child

it's because typically in africa, they don't believe in contraception you honestly think they haven't tried giving out condoms?

Fair enough, it means "my dame" though... Also, I used it as "madame", with the French pronunciation, which is meant to be very polite... Just to clear things up

Madame comes from the french phrase "ma dame" meaning "my dame" Sir comes from Monsieur in french which is "Monseigneur" which means "my lord" so yes, they can be grouped together, and i was only trying to be polite so get off my ass

i once read a feminist book where the author claimed that this kind of thing doesn't actually happen, men just make up the stories
