I hate the attention that TRP is getting and I hate seeing the sub dirtied by journalists and bloggers quoting random comments from users. TRP encouraged me to get in shape and has helped me in relationships with women. BUT - as the attention increases, hopefully the sub will be articulate enough to defend accusations of misogyny, Trump-ism, and homophobia. Also, I agree about it being under everyone's nose and loving it. I love that I learned how much an impact lifting, passing shit tests, and …

Cool. Sounds like we're on the same page. I've never liked the "TRP is going to shit" posts. At the same time, TRP has gotten some recent attention in the media as being "misogynist". Namely via a politician that was exposed as being a mod for the sub. I don't think that living a RP lifestyle and loving women are mutually exclusive. I love women. To me, TRP is more about recognizing the differences in what each sex is attracted to, and acting on it.

This isn't entirely true. I understand where you are coming from, but in a way many people use this sub the same way that others use therapists. I had issues with PTSD for a while, and a therapist helped me identify negative patterns and some hacks to change my thinking. People on this sub are doing the same things, just with a different topic. I don't check TRP as much anymore. It used to be mostly about self-improvement and being successful with women. It seems lately that there's a lot of hol…

I get your point but this is kind of a dick move. I wouldn't openly be this disrespectful to another person - unless they were being disrespectful to me. Hell, I'm nicer than this to cashiers and baristas. I don't just silently walk away at the end of the transaction.

I don't think its a one-size-fits-all. Some people genuinely hate lifting. I'm not one of them, and I don't really get it. But hey - I hate swimming and tennis. I think the most important thing is finding a solid full-body workout and sticking to it. That will put anyone ahead of 90% of men. Boxing, Wresting, Rock Climbing... any challenging workout routing is much better than nothing.

If you really do hate it - find another solid form of full-body exercise. You might not gain as much mass, but for years all I did was box. I found that my cardio was weak and started jogging. Then I tried lifting and found that it greatly increased my punching power and ability to move around the ring. There's not really a good substitute for lifting, but any challenging routine that you enjoy will likely offer more benefits than a routine that you begrudgingly follow for a year or two and then…

Sure is. His wife fucked him over even worse than his mother did. Its a redpill-ish movie from back in the day. Instead of lacking a father figure due to divorce - the main character lacks a father due to war and is subsequently raised by females. He never learns how to be a real man and goes crazy. "Toys in the attack," as they say.

Correct. It is a short parable about how thinking about taking action is not the same as taking action. Its meant to inspire the reader to not be satisfied only PLANNING on doing something, but to actually do it.

There's nothing to explain. I don't think u/pickaname199 is a native English speaker. I'm pretty sure he was asking for clarification because he didn't get the nuances of the phrasing. Your analysis is on point though.

I need to chime in here. Fitness tests are a good thing. A woman will give you fitness tests if she is interested in you. Its her way of telling whether or not you are a pussy. If you can't stand up to her shit/fitness tests, then how can she expect you to protect her in a situation that actually includes danger? From an evolutionary standpoint this would be killing an attacking lion or violent suitor. Today its just the asshole at the bar grabbing her ass. Fitness tests have nothing to do with …

Clicked the link and saw your before and afters. Good for you, man. Huge difference in just 6 months. For me, TRP is all about self-improvement and confidence. I think you're doing great. I just got back into lifting and can't wait to hit the gym again.

There's a lot to be said about "noob gains". Some dudes are going to come along and say that "2 months of lifting isn't shit!" etc. What's most important is two months of lifting has made you feel more confident, stronger, and is good for you. Keep it up!

I've often thought of this. We all know that the body grows when its resting. However, it would seem that for short bursts of time, particularly for beginners - impressive gains can be made in physical fitness without taking time off. I've always looked at the bootcamp that new military members go through. I don't think they wake up on Wednesday and go, "oh, its a tues/thurs/sat split, so today we're just gonna eat and watch movies". Now now - I know that is an oversimplification, and that there…

I'd just go with the cheaper one as long as they have the equipment needed for StrongLifts. Who knows, maybe working out in a gym full of chicks could result in some pick-ups.

lol the colors on the website are hot pink and every photo is just one of women playing around. If there's nothing else around, go to that gym. I'm at a shitty gym right now. My last gym was a boxing "gym" that was nothing but a warehouse that had bags and a ring. No AC, just one boombox playing rap. It was amazing. Working out at a shitty gym is better than not working out at all... but look for other options if available.

Women are very much influenced by their emotions. They also have a menstrual cycle that affects their feelings and behavior. Having said that, I can turn on a dime. When I get pissed at someone, or when I decide to forgive someone, or when I'm in an argument and suddenly realize I'm wrong, I turn right on that dime. PEOPLE can turn on a dime. With women it might be more based in emotion, and that confuses guys. But when men turn on a dime based on rational evaluation, that can confuse women some…

Just my input, and I could always be wrong, but I don't think anyone is suggesting that "women are wonderful" just by virtue of their sex. I think its more likely that the best phrasing would be "Women can be wonderful". I've met so many women that I've respected and liked. Its like I stated in a different comment on this post. A truly wonderful women is just as rare as a good Red Pilled man. Most PEOPLE are shitty. Sex (M/F) has so much less to do with it than: upbringing, personal philosophies…

Thanks for creating this post. I've been noticing a rise in mentalities on this sub that bother me regarding women. There ARE a lot of wonderful women out there. I've met more than a few and dated a couple. They exist. Think of it this way: A woman might look at the general male population and say, "its so hard to find a good man". They're right. Most men are out of shape, lack motivation, and most importantly, lack any sense of domination, conquest, or success. They just want to coast through l…

Just an FYI - 40-60k isn't that much. It sounds like a lot if you don't have it, or if you are in college. But its burns away fast. Taxes, health insurance, 401k, takes a LOT out of it. Its better than nothing, but we should all strive to hit 75-100k.

I've been through it a few times. Its a normal response to an emotionally disturbing event, typically. Example - I died. I was shocked back alive with a defibrillator. In the following weeks I was diagnosed with an illness. For a while I doubted that I could ever have a normal life again, then as things got more normal, I became more optimistic and happy. The cycle went on, until I got sick for a bit, and I got depressed. and again - doubtful that my life could be normal. But, over time, I got b…

To contribute: Bonobos are pretty good. I've had a few pair. For those unsure - be advised that the pockets are almost non-existent, and they shrink when dried. Right - the value of an object is inherently subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. There are your tier-one aspects: looks. Then tier two: body language, posture, confidence, game I think its easy to rank others, but for me its hard to look inward and place myself on a 1-10. Its hard to see yourself as others see you. In the end, I guess it doesn't matter. Improve every area as much as you can/want, and reach for the stars. There's an RP saying that is slipping my mind, but i…

I like journals, but I'll probably never do it again. I live with an LTR and I keep my thoughts and feelings walled the fuck off. Its a good idea for everyone. But never write something you wouldn't want someone else to read. My journals now are cryptic - just workout progress, or stars on important days but with no details. Or I'll write something in intials. Like, "Prepare for interview in other department" becomes "PFIIOD". I can leave that sitting on my desk at work or at home all day and I …

I do this at work. I just take a big poster, draw lines to mark the months, then put in whatever project has to be completed by that time. Then, I slowly fill it in as I get closer to a deadline. Whenever I have a spare minute, I look at the tasks that are coming up, and think about what I have to do to meet them. Personal goals are no different. Make a goal - to lose weight or deadlift a certain weight. Rebuild a wardrobe, or learn a skill. Then, put it on a date - and break down what you need …

I'd be blown away if someone thought I was an 8 or higher, but I've noticed that women will oscillate between the "8-10" and "5-7" behaviors with me based on MY behavior. If I'm holding solid eye contact and body posture, and saying whatever the fuck I feel like, it seems to drive up my SMV in the situation. Must be a dominance thing. Women are very smart when it comes to picking up on vulnerabilities in men. Its an evolutionary adaptation. I had a girl tell me the other day, "I'm judging you so…

That's a tough one. I have trouble with the SMV scale. Not with the concept, but just figuring out where I fall. In theory, an 8 would be someone who was as attractive or more attractive than 80% of other men. I, myself, cannot figure out where I fall on the scale. I'd guess somewhere between 5-8? Its very subjective though - I've met girls that some might find a 6 or 7, but to me are an 8-9 because of personality. We all have types, right? I like brunettes. So a brunette might get an extra poin…

As /u/HS-Thompson (great username, btw) said: The entire Alpha/Beta dynamic is social. Alpha males, in the primate community, are chosen by the MALES. The females have very little influence on which males are the most alpha... ... the males that are the most alpha are those that are the most capable of fighting off or scaring the other males. In chimps, this standing only lasts a few years at most, before they are usurped by a younger or stronger male. So - the alpha male in a primate society is…

From an evolutionary standpoint - it makes sense. Why wouldn't a female primate constantly test her partner? That's all that drama and shit tests are - checks to see if you can keep the lions and wolves at bay. So it makes sense that the hypergamous nature of female primates would lead women to constantly seek the most "alpha" (or strongest) male. Its almost like a pendulum that swings between AF and BB. What do men want? At first it seems like just one thing: the most fertile-appearing (read: a…

I didn't used to be, but I had a surgery in 2014 that side lined me a bit. I hear ya. Olympic boxing and Amateur boxing are a lot like how you describe. A LOT based on points and ring generalship and stuff like that. Professional boxing can certainly be more true to the spirit of the fight, if you have good fighters in the ring. Interesting fact: Original European pugilists (from whom we get today's modern sport of boxing) had very little hand protection - so they did typically engage in a more restrained style of punching in order not to damage their hands. Respectfully disagree. You can date and fuck outside of your SMV if you hold solid frame and stay objective. A bit of dread game and abundance mentality goes a long way in making a relationship successful. But it has to be real. You can't "bluff" dread and abundance. You have to really know who you are, what you'll tolerate, and what kinds of opportunities you have. Most guys here - if they lift a bit, dress ok, and aren't disfigured, are already going to be ahead of the pack, so to speak. That …

The most important thing in a relationship for me is sex. But, after that - its not absurd to actually LIKE the person you're fucking. I have a girlfriend, and when we aren't fucking we might be watching a movie or documentary together, or going somewhere around town. Hell, we even volunteer once a week. IDK about everyone else, but I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend. If I didn't, what's the point? You'll never want to treat your GF like she's one of the guys. You still have to run game in…

I'm fairly certain that over time, with education, you can increase and rewire the neural pathways in your brain. This would make you more intelligent, as you are literally, physically, changing your brain. Intelligence is a bit of a bitch to pin down, really. Its pretty hard to measure. But people improve their intelligence with practice all the time. Except that they call practice "education". You could argue that learning to read and write and think critically are all skills and that the unde…

TRP isn't just a sexual tactics sub. A man shouldn't live his life just for women. Intelligence will help you make more money and have a more stable life. When I'm thinking about self-improvement, IDGAF about SMV. A high SMV is important, but its not the only thing that a RP man should focus on.

Sounds good. For the Aniracetam and/or phenylpiracetam - get the capsules. They are fat soluable. I've never done it with the phenyl, but I made the mistake of buying aniracetam in powder form. It WILL NOT mix with water. Its hydrophobic - you have to mix it in oil or parachute it... both gross methods. Glad I could help. Give 'em a try. Everyone reacts differently. I think Nootropics have definitely changed my life for the better. Also - Oxiracetam is good too, and will mix in water easily (as …

Piracetam is good, but for me it requires high doses to get any benefits. I take Phenylpiracetam or Noopept almost daily, alternating to avoid tolerance to the phenyl. I take 200mg of Phenylpiracetam or 20mg of Noopept. At those doses, its like two pills a day, from a bottle of 60, so you've got a roughtly 30 day supply for $12 for the capsules. I take a lot of them, so for me it does get a bit pricey. I don't mind it though, because I feel like the benefits are worth it. It helps me do better at my job, ace interviews and presentations, all for the price of a dinner at a restaurant. I tend to alternate days between noopept and phenylpiracetam. If you order an Old Fashioned and like it - keep drinking it. That's actually how I first had one. I normally just ordered whiskey on the rocks. I deleted my comment since GLO addressed it in another comment. I know that routine has been around a while, it just seems soooo close to SS that I think Stronglifts is ripping off of it. But it really doesn't matter. Whatever works. I started with Stronglifts and moved to SS. I disagree. To imply that you can't learn from something just because it is fiction is absurd. You take what you can and you leave the rest. I do agree with the overall sentiment of your post. At least as how I perceived it - in that trying to act like fictional characters will only leave you looking like an idiot. That's interesting. I'd imagine that triggers a different type of alpha-seeking behavior - one more related to status that appearance. After all, most people don't care about a lone musician playing in his bedroom. I take a 1:1 ratio of 200mg about 15 minutes before I want to wake up. Its good for several hours. I first learned of it from "Gorilla Mindset". Its even better if you stack it with some Piracetam.

Fair enough. You're entitled to your opinion. I understand why using the sociopath as a metaphor is so productive - because a sociopath really does display many of the traits we work here to develop, against the BP world of brainwashing and shamewashing. Anyway, I agree to disagree. We're both here reading TRP, which means we probably still have more in common than we do with 90% of other men. If I were to mention Dark Triad or Dread Game to the average frustrated chump, they'd have no idea wtf …

Other option for those caffeine sensitive: -Combine caffeine with L-Theanine at a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio. -Take NooPept or Phenylpiracetam instead of coffee -Try green tea or another drink with less caffeine Also: -Sleeping more -Meditation and/or yoga -Working out all will reduce fatigue.

Its debated. Medically speaking - they are two names for the same condition. But - there are psychologists and academics that do believe that they are two separate conditions with similar symptoms. So while its still not accepted in the medical community, I'll concede with you that there is room for argument, and no one's really 100% sure yet. "If you could turn off your guilt and shame and remorse wouldn't you? Isn't that literally what we teach here? To not let people who keep us down keep us …

I don't think the TRP has declined in any real manner. Nor do I think that this article is bad. If you think a little constructive criticism is worth shitting the bed over, that's your prerogative. A civilized mind can entertain an idea without accepting it. If what I wrote gets your panties in an a bunch; it really means nothing to me. Why don't you write a counter-point explaining why we should use sociopathy as a northern star? Go ahead also and write about how schizophrenics are unpredictabl…

I have someone in my family that has Anti-Social Personality disorder. Anyone who has known that person well for even a slightly extended period of time is aware that there is something "off" about them. They come off initially as clever, caring, smart, and relatable. Over time, though, the missing parts of their personality start to shine through. One of the biggest ones - like you mention - is bereavement. At a funeral or in the hospital, they have no idea what to do. They try to fake grief fo…

We've got to stop glorifying sociopathy here at TRP. It comes from a fundamental misunderstanding o what a sociopath/psychopath is. First of all, there is no difference between the two. They are both medically classified as having anti-social personality disorder. Second, there have been a number of studies that indicate that sociopaths lack activity in certain regions of their brain. It is a legitimate mental disfunction. Its not all that different from using someone with down syndrome or color…

If someone tells you that you "aren't a target" again. Kindly remind them that young men are overwhelmingly the primary victim of inter-personal violence and crime. Here is a source, but you can find plenty more, as this is a well known statistic in criminology: http://nortonbooks.typepad.com/everydaysociology/2009/05/who-is-most-likely-to-be-a-crime-victim.html

I'd say pretty low. I've been back at it about 2 weeks and I'm dead lifting about 155lbs as my work weight, squatting a little less. While I wasn't able to "exercise" for the last year or so, I still did everything else a normal person does. Sex, walking around, a little bicycle riding. So I didn't totally atrophy. But I'm much weaker and out of shape than I'd like to be.

Good for you man. Always keep pressing forward. I had a heart surgery a year ago. As a result, I got fatter and my outgrew my (awesome) wardrobe. I was an amateur boxer and doing SL 5x5 before I had surgery. I gained 45 pounds in 18 months. smh. Two weeks ago I got the "go ahead" from my doctor to start working out again. I'm using Starting Strength (I REALLY recommend the book) and investing in a new wardrobe. My point is, keep moving forward even if there are setbacks. Right now you are in the…

Mostly. The manosphere, as a loosely organized group of individuals, still has no concrete identity. TRP, MRAs, and MGTOW are all part of the same basket, but still separate identities. TRP = working out, frame/state, game, self-improvement. MRA = Men's rights: men politically trying to end circumcision, Unjust divorce laws, domestic violence, suicide, etc. MGTOW = "monk mode" without an end date. Forsaking game and women in general, and just focusing on living life to the fullest in terms of pu…

IT guy here. The women I work with are, by and large, very competent. IT is fortunately a production driven field. If you can't produce or get the results, you're out. You can't bullshit your way through. There are a lot of women that start in IT and sort of wash into financial stuff, or (often) HR. They get a foot in the door because the upper management was trying to "diversify", but eventually they wash out. Right now we are in a hiring phase for a position in my office. As part of the hiring…

I said: "Alpha in nature is relative to social standing. A lone gorilla is not alpha." You said: "You're wrong. Alpha is a state of mind." Then you said: "You can't be alpha in relation to yourself, you can only be alpha in relation to other people." So, which one is it? Is alpha a social status, or a mindset? It can't be both. I'm not convinced you've given enough thought to understand which side you are arguing for. A basis of TRP is seeing things for what they really are. A woman can say "Fat…

Literally, the definition of an alpha male in nature is dependent on a social structure. No where in nature is alpha a "state of mind". We may find it useful to think of it this way, in order to maintain an alpha presence when we are out in public (i.e. in a social situation) but you cannot be Alpha when you are alone, any more than a shark can be alpha because it does not have a social hierarchy. Its not debatable. Alpha is inherently tied to social environment. Just like you can't have light w…

Alpha in nature is relative to social standing. A lone gorilla is not alpha. The gorilla must be "made" alpha by his standing in relation to other gorillas in the group. The same is true for people and situations. A professor might be alpha while he is lecturing, but a pussy when he tries to play football. That alpha on the football team might be a beta when it's time to hit on chicks at the bar. It's all relative. There ARE alpha behaviors, but alpha cannot exist in a vaccuum.

Right. Its much more likely that the highest male in the linear alpha hierarchy fucked multiple females. The gang-bang theory doesn't hold water.

It really doesn't have much to do with agriculture. Even chimps don't do this. Its presumed that men ejaculate quickly because the male that can "get in and get out" the fastest has the least likely chance of being eaten by a tiger mid-act. Gang bangs of gorillas and chimps isn't common at all, and the alpha male hierarchy goes against it entirely. The only primate that fucks like this is the bonobo, and they get away with it because they don't have any real natural predators. Chimps, our closes…

This doesn't sound right at all. I can't really picture this scenario. It doesn't support any current evolutionary theory that I know of. It skims over the notion of "mate-guarding" and genetic selection. Its true that the penis is shaped like a scoop for that reason, but it doesn't mean that there were rolling gangbangs across the plains of Africa. How would you hunt or defend your tribe? If this were true, it would be the men with the biggest cocks that reproduced, and we'd all be hung like wh…

No worries. All the points you made are still valid. Not only are we physically less masculine because of dropping T levels, but our culture has shifted to one where traditional (evolutionary) masculine traits are shamed. I'm not old (28) but when I was in elementary school I got in a few fights, and got detention. Now when little boys get in fights they get suspended, or when they kiss a girl on the cheek, its sexual harassment. This PC culture has gotten out of control

I love Gilmore Girls. I think it is one of the most (accidental) Red Pill TV shows ever. Its basically all about how these women can't take care of themselves, make decisions based on emotion, and constantly need to be supported and looked out for by men in their lives. Then, they turn right around, and either cheat on them or leave them. Every. Single. Time. Both main characters go to betas for support, then turn around and fuck/fool around with Alphas. When they need a loan? Go to beta. Need a…

I think this recommendation for "Monk Mode" is exactly what you need. Most of us need it at some point. Right now it sounds like you don't know who you are or what you want. That's normal. Take some time off from women in general. Go MGTOW for 3-6 months. Find an exercise you enjoy. Lifting weights, boxing, whatever. (1.5 - get your diet right too. Clean foods) Try to find 2-3 hobbies, or more. I just took up motorcycling. I'm also trying to start a band. It's your life, find things you enjoy an…

I think Rathadin's final points are valid. There is enough evidence to suggest that men's testosterone levels and sperm production have been decreasing. I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure there are also studies showing decreased fertility rates in women, and an earlier average onset of puberty, potentially from hormones in our foods. Now, the points you made are all on-fucking-point. They come from a sociological viewpoint, where Rathadin's are from a biological position. So, the good new…

Great reply. TRP is about facing the truth, no matter how uncomfortable the truth might be. Getting your dick wet doesn't change anything about the world we live in. Pussy won't change the fact that you have zero reproductive rights, are more likely to be imprisoned, killed on the job, or commit suicide, let alone get cuckolded, cheated on or fired. It's just a part of life. The quicker you accept it, the better of you'll be.
