A lot of people don't like it when someone is doing better than them, and will say things to put that person down or intentionally give bad advice.

They're not married. That level of commitment has not been made. They've been together for 3.5 years and she's only 22. It's really important to choose the right man for your life, he hasn't been chosen yet.

Firstly, just want to say you're doing all the right things and you will see progress. The lifting etc. is top notch, keep this up and don't lose focus. Small town is a hard deal, and it's hard to get your foot on the ladder anywhere let alone in a small town. Have a bit of faith in what you're doing, read the teasing guide on the main sub if you're looking to get smoother and go from there. If you feel like your frame and fundamentals need work then read The Rational Male if you already haven't…

I found it really refreshing, and I always keep the ideas fresh in my mind by revisiting it every once in a while and by watching the author’s conversations with her daughter on YouTube.

I've just started reading The Flipside of Feminism: What Conservative Women Know and Men Can't Say by Suzanne Venker and Phyllis Schlafly; I think you'll enjoy it. Suzanne Venker has lots of good books and short blog posts on femininity too.

That is so true - I never thought of it that way but yes, nurturing an air of positivity for myself and the people I interact with is so important!

Thanks for your very kind words u/KathrynHogan, and also for the great tip! I'll definitely do that in the future - that is such a refreshing and graceful way of accepting a compliment! Much love xx

Thank you so much for your kind words and advice! And yes, you're absolutely right in saying that I need to accept and appreciate myself. I think I have come to do so - but have slipped after going through a break-up (he was my first boyfriend and I truly love(d) him). It's time to pick myself up again - slowly but surely - and love, accept and appreciate the person I've become. Thank you x

I think you got me wrong. There is no hate anywhere here. No hate for him, no hate for red pill, no hate for men. I appreciate our wants and needs don’t align and I’m glad he broke up with me when he did without causing me any further damage. But truly, he’d have known he’s not ready for a relationship during our nine months together - why string me along, giving me prompts and hope for our future? He also found this thread and texted me about how I was misinterpreting the situation and then imm…

Thank you for your very insightful comment. I used to read asktrp but have recently stopped as it’s just a waste of my time. The things they discuss there are not in line with my values and frankly the advice they give regarding LTRs is just disgusting. But I really appreciate you trying to decode things for me. What you said about him “being scared of getting hurt” and using the break-up as a defence strategy doesn’t sit right with me. I understand (and appreciate) that you’re trying to lighten…

Thank you, I truly believe that too. Sometimes when I think about him, I feel sad for him. We would always say that the greatest thing in life is to love someone and to feel loved but he is missing out on this because he prioritised chasing girls, spinning plates and fuelling his ego over someone who loves him and cares for him deeply. But then I wake up from that haze and realise it’s none of my business anymore and that I’m lucky we ended things when we did.

I really hope it works out for you both but ultimately, the question lies with why you are the only one putting in all the time and effort into the relationship if he already has one foot out the door looking for other girls, looking at exploring other options, looking to fuel his abundance mentality? Also, a relationship is nothing without trust - would you be able to trust him wholeheartedly after all this? Can you trust that he would not jump at another woman if the opportunity presents itsel…

He’s Catholic and lives in a Catholic dorm. I think it’s just who he is.

Ironically he was the one that brought up commitment and the future when we first got together and throughout our relationship. I feel a bit played and manipulated afterwards. He led me on the whole time while knowing that he wasn’t ready for all this. But yes, like you said, I believe I’ll find someone that wants the same thing as me, someone who loves me and chooses me everyday without wondering what else might be out there. Thank you for your comment x

I get where you’re coming from, but I wonder if TRP got to his head in the wrong way? The problem is that he had one foot out the door looking for the next best thing (and more) while we were together. I hated it - it means he’s never really fully in the moment with me and to me that’s emotional cheating.

Going through a painful break up with someone I truly love(d) and care(d) about does not make me an alpha widow.

Very well said - him thinking about or being tempted by other women just means that he doesn’t value and cherish OP enough.

It's going to sound harsh, but please don't waste any more of your time and effort on someone who doesn't cherish and commit to you wholeheartedly. He says men can cheat but can still completely love their wife A relationship is nothing without trust, and this is already a huge red flag that will affect your trust in him. So get out and move on. You deserve someone who values you, cherishes you, commits to you and chooses you every day. You deserve nothing less than this, don't let him take you …

Just talk to her - if your relationship is built on the right foundations, she will work on it together with you. Work together to understand where these desires stem from so that you can tackle them, together. A relationship is nothing without trust and understanding - and it is especially during tough times like this that you need even more trust and understanding. I hope it all goes well, I wish you all the best.

Talk to your girl. A relationship is based on two people - you should share what you’re feeling with her, it’s not fair on you or her to conceal all these feelings and then leave her out of the blue because you don’t want to hurt her anymore. Talk to her and walk through your feelings with her. Work on it together, and you’ve got an exciting bundle of joy coming along your way! Look forward to building a lovely family together because that’s what life is all about - to be loved and to love one a…

Then, sorry, to me that’s just a sad excuse. If I can please give you one piece of advice, do not give something precious and valuable away for some momentary pleasure. It’s a wonderful thing to be in love and to feel loved, and it’d be a shame to throw it all away because you “just want variety”.

I understand the biological need - are you not getting this from your girl?
/r/askTRP25/12/19 01:22 PM

Don’t do this to the mother of your child - in fact, if she is “your girl”, you wouldn’t think about having to commit to her, it will come naturally. Don’t use stupid excuses to lose something precious and loving.

For my family - my parents and my brother - who all love me dearly. My parents and I live on opposite sides of the world but their love is so strong, I never feel like I'm alone. For my boyfriend - my darling who reminds me every day that I'm loved and cared for. For being so understanding and supportive when my inner hamster spins up emotional storms in my mind (which has been quite often, but I'm aware of this and actively working on not doing this). I'm thankful to love, and to be loved - sou…

Like some others have mentioned in this thread - beauty is only skin deep. Yes, men are visual beings but once that initial vetting (and fascination) of appearances are done, what's left is your character and who you are as a person. What are your thoughts, interests, beliefs and opinions? Are you intellectually curious and open to learning more about other things? Sometimes we get too comfortable with our lives and the little boxes we exist within and forget about working on these qualities, so…

You said your age isn’t an excuse for your problems and issues but, in all honesty, you’re only 15! And this might sound insensitive amidst all the strong emotions you’re feeling right now but this too shall pass. Instead of spending (wasting) time thinking about what could have been with this boy, work on yourself. Work on your academic work, sports, beauty, hobbies, relationships with your friends and family etc - work on becoming the best possible version of yourself and your “happily ever af…

Moving to new country is scary and daunting but as time goes on, you’ll get settled in comfortably. I, myself, moved abroad to study when I was 17 (22 now) and I promise you it gets better with time! I don’t know whether you’re moving for work or study but either way, hang out with people and soon enough, you’ll have a group of like-minded people with similar interests and values as you. Re: finding a partner, don’t stress on it too much, it will happen organically as you continue to work on bec…

Love a good swing/squat set! 🙌🏼 Just one question (complete novice here, so please don’t mind if this is silly) - what do you mean by 50-40-30-20-10? Do you mean 5 sets in decreasing number from 50 reps, 40 reps, etc.?

I’ve heard so much about the versatility of kettlebells, but so far I’ve only managed to use it for squats and swings - and love both of them! Can you share how you use the kettlebells within your workouts? Thanks!

True. Most important factor contributing to weight loss/gain is calorie deficit/excess and, hence, very important to understand the body’s metabolism and to adjust calorie intake and exercise accordingly.
