Point taken, I do plan to keep reading. However, what you said still doesn't make the situation less grim. The fact we must 'improve' ourselves because these psychological behaviours are 'real' and 'the only truth' is why it's depressing. The act of improving may not be, but the necessity of mental self-improvement due to these behaviour, is.

Exactly. Putting someone down is showing how insecure you are, it's exactly what TRP is advising against. Take a quick look around this thread and you can see those who claimed to be 'unplugged' but are really not.

The issue here is, is that I've bought into self-improvement long before I was aware of TRP, so in my context TRP isn't about self-improvement, it's ALL about psychological and sociological behaviours. In that sense, it's nothing but impersonal relationships, which to me is grim. I don't deny that to some RPers that TRP is all about self-improvement, but I also want to say that that's not a complete buy-in/understanding of TRP. I don't claim to know TRP in whole (because I'm still reading/learni…

The difference between all these matrix analogies (which runs rampant in TRP/TRM) and here is that when you get unplugged in the Matrix, you join a cause to save humanity. I can get unplugged, but I ain't saving humanity, I can help unplug another individual but we're all fucked anyways.

Self-improvement isn't TRP, it's only part of TRP; you're getting confused. A beta or non-TRP can easily participate in self-improvement, as i have throughout all these years. I would advise you to read TRM if you haven't. His sociological and psychological observations and how to deal with it is the core principle of TRP, and he could only act that way because he has the confidence, which stem from self-improvement. Self-improvement is ONLY a tool in TRP, it isn't TRP.

Perhaps, point taken. I see it as a grim because it boils all romantic relationships between the sexes to an impersonal give and take. It could be very true, in fact I've not found evidence against it from my/my friends' past experiences. However, simply saying 'that just how it is', or 'this is the reality' isn't diminishing how impersonal and grim these relationships are; it's simply saying 'whatever, i'll play by these rules'. I feel that train of thoughts breeds indifference, and I don't wan…

Is my viewpoints/presence threatening you somehow? I find it amusing that you need to resort to insults. Alphas are comfortable in their own shoes, I find no need to insult you or anyone here; we're merely exchanging viewpoints.

I'm hardly pissed; I'm just sad. This is also labelled a rant thread so you're free to leave and enjoy your drink on whatever beach you're on.

Objectively I know what I should believe in Can you not see this first part? I never said my viewpoints itself was objective. I can evaluate my evidences objectively and this is why I'm conflicted. The facts are presented to me in a way I've yet to refute. It is my own personal ideals that stop me from buying in. I think you're confusing my ability to assess facts vs my viewpoint. Objectivity is about logic, a person can be logical and emotional at the same time. When a person's emotional respon…

How so? Heroism/self sacrifice are concepts of putting others before yourself. Under TRP you should not do so because you should prioritize yourself over others.

I disagree. What I feel currently is like getting a terrible score on a test after you spent countless hours studying. You see the score, you know it to be true, but you can't believe all your efforts (in this case, my ideals) are all denied by this number/grade on a piece of paper. Objectively I know what I should believe in, but personally I don't want it to be true.

I am glorifying unconditional relationships. Because a world where it's nothing but gives and takes, to me, is impersonal. Everyone is living their entire lives out with an agenda in mind. As you can see from my tone, I suspect that it's probably true, but it's unfortunate. If everyone is rooted in self-interest only, then heroism is a lie, self-sacrifice is a joke and martyrs are fucking idiots. I admit that I am childish because I want to think hero exists, and that comrades will die for each …

I see where we differ: " it just needs to be as much as they are capable of". I guess I find it bleak that they're not 'capable of' unconditional love, and because of that we should not love unconditionally out of self-preservation.

Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. Allow me to say one thing: Truth and ideals are two different things. I'll gladly admit my ideals are not aligned with TRP, which is why I have a hard time buying in. Seeing it objectively allows me to compare my personal experience with the observations of TRM, but accepting the worldview has nothing to do with my observations...If I had little objectivity, then anything that conflicts with my ideal world would've been ignored in the first place.

Perhaps you can enlighten me... Isn't TRM/TRP's basis for a female's love fundamentally based on what TRM described as opportunism? In other words, their romantic love develops, subconsciously, on their fulfillment of hypergamy. In other words, the condition in which their love exist must be that it fulfills their instinct of finding "the best they can get", and if they can find better 'for sure', the love disappears. Ergo, it cannot be unconditional. For men, we 'could' potentially love uncondi…

It doesn't invalidates romance; it invalidates unconditional love and unconditional romance. Romance can easily be build on the foundation of TRP doctrine, but unconditional love is impossible.

The bluepilled are sad in our current world because they're blinded by things that does not exist, yet in their ignorance, or intent, does not recognize it. I said TRP's worldview is sad because it basically invalidates any human unconditional relationships, be it platonic or romantic. That is a sad world to live in, and I've not yet found evidences against it, yet. While BP is sad as a group, TRP is a depressing generalization of the entire human race. I really don't wish to stomach that.
