Hey everyone, first post here.

I just want to get something off my chest. I've been reading TRM (and other TRP stuff) for a while now, and I do accept a lot of the sociological and psychological observations made, in part because I've observed firsthand the same evidence in my past, and/or my friends' relationships. I've listened to plenty complaints from my female friends about their relationships, and the old me gave advice and answers so rooted in the FI, and now that I realized why they complained, how useless those advice truly were.

But...I can't buy into TRP, I just can't. It's not that I don't believe in it, but I don't want to. To accept TRP is to accept a worldview that's so twisted and grim (and probably true), so rooted in self-interest that it's sad. It's akin to finding about climate change for the first time. It's finding out about the world is fucked up and going to end soon enough thanks to decades of shit done that had nothing to do with you. You just happened to be on born on the raw end of the deal.

I don't believe I'll fall back to the blue pill, but I feel compel to try and find evidences to contradict TRP, because the alternative is downright depressing. Blessed or cursed, seeing things objectively has been a strong suit of mine, which made my quest that much harder.

Wish me luck? (Or not?)
