Legally, “sexual exploitation” includes rape and other forms of abuse. If the kid was subjected to rape and other forms of abuse, it’s reasonable to use a broader term. Not everything is a micro aggression.

Well, no. “Sexually exploited” is a broader term that includes rape but also other kind of sexual assault and exploitation. So the broader could well apply here because it’s talking about rape and then other stuff too. Edit: Echo chambers are not useful.

If you hide your ignorance, no one will hit you and you’ll never learn. So you’ve gotten that far at least. Bradbury would be proud. It’s a good first step. You’ve added nuance and detail to your words after the fact, which doesn’t make you clever so much as it makes you silly for assuming no one would notice. Anyway, now you have the opportunity to learn. Don’t blow it. While you’re at it, your grammar needs work too.

I think it’s a tremendous mistake to imagine that rights for one group mean fewer rights for another. If we protect my right to vote, for example, it doesn’t threaten yours. The war waged for rights and freedom is historically (and currently) against the most of us by the ruling class of wealthy, rather than over race or gender. Those in power like to keep the rest of us divided.

I think you should do research, find evidence, and then decide upon beliefs. They should come after knowledge, not before. Hold theories lightly.

Dude, this is ridiculous. Read a goddamned history book already. Historic oppression of women is real. Historic oppression of men is real too, if it makes ya feel any better. And of black people, and of white people, and of Asian people, and of Indian people, and so on. People have been oppressed as long as there have been people. Oppression is real. You can’t debunk historical fact. Women had it especially bad at some points in history. The mistake isn’t believing that women had it bad, it’s be…

That election, to me, is just a perfect example of ignoring your base and pandering. All with the entitlement of expected victory. She had one rally in Pennsylvania. A state that usually swings blue. One. In Philly. Basically telling everyone else in the state, “Fuck you, I only care about these people.” Yeah, if you ignore the people who put your party in office, you shouldn’t be all that surprised when you lose.

Dude, if you’re just venting, that’s cool. But if you’re serious about this, let’s talk. Getting rejected is part of the dating game. Ain’t nothing sexist about it. Saying no is part of relationships. If your college is really this toxic, you should consider transferring. It’s definitely not like that everywhere. Maybe to a college in a city where you wouldn’t be stuck with only one type of people? I don’t know, dude, might be time to make some changes.

Unpopular Opinion: Jordan Peterson needs to stay in his lane. He isn’t an expert in everything. He’s a clinical psychologist, not a physician, a sociologist, or a philosopher. This happens to smart people who think their narrow field of expertise applies to everything. When Peterson talks about what he knows, he’s pretty good. When he wanders off to pontificate on stuff he isn’t qualified to talk about, he doesn’t sound nearly as smart. I care about Peterson’s opinion on philosophy as much as I …

Well, the most troubling part is how so many assert that consent can be revoked at any point. It can be revoked before or during but not after. It’s a little scary to imagine that consent could be revoked afterwards. It has the potential to make anyone participating in sex a rapist in retrospect.

Raises some interesting questions about the ownership of stuff like this. Can you submit “your” photo to a photography contest when you didn’t take the photo? Can you call it yours?
/r/PussyPassDenied18/08/22 01:59 AM
19

Well, the lady said she took the picture, and the bloke says she didn’t. Because she submitted as her own, and it wasn’t, she was denied the award and publication of the photo. She said he has no evidence, except for her own admission that he took the picture. They’d have given her a pass if it was a lady who took the photo, but it wasn’t. Claiming sole credit for a photo when you obviously had a fair amount of help taking the photo is a pretty shabby thing to do, regardless of your gender.

women in gay bars Whatever, man, it’s a free fucking country. You’re not entitled to a public venue any more than they are. groped You are completely entitled to be left the fuck alone and not sexually assaulted. Fuck outta here with whoever does that. I read that bit about Dostoyevsky and Nietzsche and finance. Listen, I read a lot. Like one to four hours a day. And Russian lit is heavy shit, it’s dense and challenging and requires a lot of knowledge to read and understand it. Nietzsche isn’t much better. Some cool ideas, some incredible ego. Finance is fun and all, and it’s got some interesting and admirable people, but it’s also got a lot of greedy assholes. Not super fun. Make something of yourself. Before The Red Pill was about misogyny and pick-up artists and mistreatment of other people, it was about taking care of your shit. Be responsible, get your act together, be fit, be capable, be a good person, and suddenly it’s not that hard to attract women. I don’t think you need to fake that, I think you need to do it. Get your act together and it makes everything else easy.

“I’ll take that gun and kill you with it” is their justification for the murder. Yeah, the victim didn’t go inside and get a fucking assault rifle to threaten an unarmed person. Edit: I don’t know guns. Apparently it’s an assault weapon not an assault rifle. Like it fucking matters to a guy with bullets in his chest. I strongly suspect that guy went and got his assault weapon with an intention to do more than chat about calibers and magazine sizes.

I dunno, “girl screaming with grown man in dressing room” really ought to raise some red flags. That’s probably something to which cops ought to respond. Edit: The cops handled it poorly. But that’s not the fault of the people who called the cops. And… this sounds fake as fuck.

Actually, this is a really interesting sports compensation question. The two teams are compensated completely differently because A) they’ve negotiated for it and B) the structures of international play are different. The qualifiers are different, the roster movement is different, the benefits are different, the salaries are different. People act like it’s apples to apples and it just isn’t. It’s a fascinating thing to dive into if you like sports.

I think you’re misinterpreting your poll results. What I conclude from your anecdotal evidence is that most men are open and welcome to the idea of you being a homemaker. Pretty well established that the lines in men’s bathroom are shorter than those in the women’s, right? Listen, I’m not saying it was right or wrong, but there could be a plausible explanation that could be for reasons of logistics rather than misandry. When I was in vet school with a mostly female class, they ordered more size six gloves than size eight gloves. No big deal, just the way things worked. Equality doesn’t necessarily have to mean sameness.

Because that’s the only way it works. Individuals have rights and they’re innocent until proven guilty. They retain those rights even when they’re being investigated for and charged with a crime. The burden is on the state to protect those rights first and prosecute the crime within the law. Some people thought that individual rights were literally the most important thing to protect, and they convinced enough other people to support them. Not just demands per se, but they tend to be less flexible and more established in their lives. Like, if she’s doing well in life and profession, does she want to muck it up for an inconvenient relationship? I sure wouldn’t, so I can’t really blame someone else who’d pass.

Reasons for older men trying to pick up women that are less sleazy: Getting a late start on life. (Did you have your shit together at 20? I sure as hell didn’t.) Not finding success or stability until later. (Most doctors I know didn’t get their legs under them until their 30s, men and women alike). Loss of a long term relationship. Absolutely. I think the “personality deficit” is trying to apply the things that make you successful in a demanding career to being functional in a supportive relationship. Not the same thing at all.

I know a lot of women who have trouble dating after graduate school. I know a lot of women who don’t. The ones who have trouble generally have personality deficits that inhibit their dating life, I don’t think it’s their education exactly, more like some of the traits that make them successful in one area make them unsuccessful in another. I also think it’s ridiculous to expect a person to be alpha at all times and in every scenario. When I’m at the hospital alone, I am the man. I make the calls, the decisions, my word is final. As you get older, you’ll realize that your parents standards of success (mine was “be good at everything”) or outside metrics for success (GPA, test scores, class ranking) are really quite insignificant in the real world. “Peak Performance” was a good book on maintaining success at a high level without burnout. The truth is that you’ll never change them, so don’t worry about it. Seek and find what kind of success makes you happy and satisfied and fulfilled and pursue yours rather than theirs.

The point of this isn't to belittle and berate somebody else. The point is to make ourselves better, something we believe is easier to do without women in our lives. An apparently well-researched article that makes for an interesting read. Really makes you admire Pitt actually. Disciplined, hard-working, decent, loves his family, wildly successful. And he's going to take a serious hit for picking the wrong woman. Wish the guy the best.

I think if an employee said "Don't worry I'll correct the course, you just give me carte blanche" after getting direction from me, I would go from gentle guidance to direct orders. That answer would demonstrate a lack of respect. If you're going the right direction, prove it to me. I don't waste my time with bullshit manipulations. Give me a straight answer or update your resume. Amused mastery on your boss? It's not a fucking Tinder date.

Women are outraged that they have to fight to get the same pay as a man. They forget that a man had to fight for his wage in the first place. "Organizational skills, good behavior and compliance" Great, I'll call those students when I need a secretary. I faced this kind of attitude and bias at every level of education up through my doctorate. There are no protections at all in the primary and secondary school systems, we've just empowered a group of largely women who finished, on average, in the bottom 30% academically, to beat up on our kids. That's just nuts.

So the world is the way it is because people dodge responsibility and blame for themselves while casting it aggressively at others. Righteous outrage gets more headlines, maybe because it lets people feel superior. TRP is much maligned because, in part, it seeks to exploit the situation for personal gain. I happen to find this acceptable because I find it honest. Nobody else has my back, so I'd better do it myself. But the people who stomp their feet and throw their tantrums are offended at the …

Well, it's sort of like this: You've got good grades, but good grades can't be exchanged for money. Money can't be exchanged for respect. Et cetera. You can't use your accomplishments as currency unless you find a way to translate them to demonstrate value. You've got to be social in an environment that values your accomplishments. Put me in a club setting and I'm worthless. Put me in an operating room and I'm a rock star. Find the social milieu where your accomplishments are valued. Put yoursel…

It's actually a good reminder for all of us MRAs that just because because men are getting screwed by an institution, doesn't mean women aren't. Just because something is bad for one gender doesn't mean it's good for the other. These issues are more complicated than a seesaw. It's wrong to treat all men like lurking rapists and it's wrong to treat all women as immature fools. UVA fucked this one up in all kinds of ways.

I wasn't a feminist, but I watched a guy down the hall from me get railroaded out of college for "raping" a young woman. The young woman was drunk, stumbled down our hallway with a six pack of condoms in her hand, and was shouting that she wasn't leaving until she was out of condoms. Well, there wasn't exactly a line to fuck her, but one guy obliged. They went on to "date" for a few weeks and she only cried rape when he dumped her. I never realized how much of a problem some of these things are until reading this article. I'm skeptical. The bar staff "shares" tips. Or they are supposed to. That doesn't mean they will. The strip club job position is not one that will advance you in any other spot but a strip club. There is an opportunity cost associated with being there and not doing anything else (looking for a better, for example). It will take you two weeks of work just to break even for this job. Honestly, I think the meds caused more problems than the ADHD. The meds really helped me for awhile in college, but then I think they made it harder. I'm a very laid back guy and the meds made me anxious, nervous, worried. I struggle with the ADHD sometimes, but I struggled with the meds all the time. PM me, we'll talk more.

I did, and I tried the drugs. They worked for awhile but then seemed to just make me really anxious and miserable. I stopped taking them after a year or two and I'm better for it.

Teachers are mostly women and they don't like the idea of boys being boys. I fear for my sons' education and development in today's systems. Edit: Also, I have ADHD and it went undiagnosed until I was in college. I'm now a doctor of veterinary medicine. Learning disability my ass.

It doesn't ever disappear but it does wax and wane. I don't think we should condemn a person for what's in their head. Thinking about doing a bad thing is not the same as doing a bad thing. Being faithful doesn't count for much without temptation.

Wanting to is not a problem, pursuing it and acting on it is. Having bad ideas shouldn't damn a person, but if she does decide to fuck around, I would expect that she prepared to live with the consequences.

So more than my social status, my profession requires me to be a trustworthy person. If some other man thinks I'm trying to hit on his wife or fiance or whatever, that sort of thing gets around. More than just sexual strategy, TRP is social strategy. So, for me, it is a more productive strategy to be a stand-up guy than it is to "slay pussy" at every opportunity. I end up with more friends and more women if I respect the boundaries of traditional social protocol. Maybe it's because I live in a w…

I think you're really onto something with the friend zone whiner being just as - if not far more - dishonest about his intentions towards women. And then they go all white knight and shake their fingers at us for being successful in a fashion outside of what they'd find in a romantic comedy script! It's not that those friend zoned whiners are above seeking sex (maybe some of them are I suppose) but they just think they'll deserve it for waiting around for so long! I think that the red pill is much more than sexual strategy. It's a way of living your life, not a magic trick to make women fall in love with you. It's a moderate viewpoint with exceptional conviction. It is a way of changing your life to enable you to be more than and better than you are. It's about how to think in order to become and to be a man.

Fitness isn't just muscle mass. I've got a buddy who is 6'8" and under 200lbs. He's also cut out of stone and was a national champion rower in college. Athleticism reveals itself in many ways, not just size. Try boxing, rowing, swimming, or something. And remember what Tyler Durden said in Fight Club, "Skinny guys fight til they're burger."
/r/TheRedPill08/01/14 08:30 PM

I seriously think that The Red Pill is actually a moderate viewpoint with exceptionally strong convictions. We reject the bullshit of each extreme. Just because we're not feminist cheerleaders doesn't mean we are misogynistic rapists. We are moderates rather than extremists, and we are better for it.

It seems to mean nothing to these courts. If they can throw out evidence, regard logic and persuasion as signs of guilt, and not answer to anyone? The truth doesn't matter. They've made it possible for any woman to ruin any man's life without any regard for reality.

/r/TheRedPill17/12/13 10:50 PM

This is nothing short of terrifying. I think the right thing to do would be to treat rape as a crime and let the actual courts handle it. A college wouldn't investigate a murder and try it with a kangaroo court, why would they do that with a rape? Edit: and to regard being "logical and persuasive" as indicative of an abuser? That's just horrifying.

Okay, answer me honestly: do either of these guys sound like alpha males? I mean the begging for pictures? Or bitterly attacking a chick who rejected the other guy? It doesn't sound like an alpha at all.

It's not about a bro code. It's about a personal code of behavior. You do the right thing, the better thing, because it's better for you. Being a man doesn't mean being a selfish jackass. In this case: Why waste your time trying to erode the walls of this chick with a barrage text messages when you'd have better options elsewhere? Begging a taken girl for pictures of herself via text? That ain't alpha behavior.

Does anybody else have a problem with a guy trying to get a girl to cheat on her boyfriend while he's in Afghanistan, presumably serving in the military? It's not about being cocky, it's just about being a man. You don't have to be a loudmouthed asshole to be an alpha male. You can be polite, considerate, generous and decent and still be an alpha. This isn't a magic trick to make women fall into bed with you. It's a way of living that actually makes you more of a man. If you really want to, you can tell her how bad this is and give her a shot to fix it. With the ultimatum being the end of the relationship. This almost never works and is not a good idea. So I would say man up, tell her she blew it, and move on. She wants to slut it up after the fact? Who fucking cares. You're done with her because you don't want a girl like that. She can live out the lousy life she's built by herself.

I think a common mistake in regarding this subreddit is mistaking a powerful voice and strong conviction for an extreme idea. The Red Pill is actually a lot more moderate than it appears at first glance. Rejecting woman worshipping doesn't make you a misogynist any more than rejecting Westboro Baptist Church makes you an Islamic suicide bomber. We do demonize kinds of behavior and write negatively about certain things, but often the bottom line is a balanced one in which we reject the abuse of w…

Do stuff. Get out and join an athletic club or something. Do social stuff. It's all up to you as to who you want to be and who you want to hang out with. Building friends and social circles in many different areas helps in a lot of ways, like having plates to spin without any others knowing about it.

Realize that you're going to mess up a shitload. Every single one of us has been rejected. Every single one of us has made an idiot of ourselves. The overwhelming majority of us got over it. You are going to succeed and you are going to fail, so don't take either too seriously.

I think that there's a way to do that without babying her or treating her like she's some extra special person. Talk across to her rather than down, expect of her what you'd expect of anybody else. Don't judge her. Don't punish her. Just take an interest in her life. If she doesn't want you around, no worries, you tried. You can't make her want you in her life, but you can be the kind of person she wants in her life. And, I think, that's the guy you want to be: steady, supportive, and kind.

I'm a veterinarian. I love my job. I'm excited to get up and go to work. I have fun. I'm even pretty good at it. Is it my favorite thing in the world? Nope. Is it my dream job? Nope. Do I care? Not a bit. My job, my career, isn't who I am. It isn't what I love. I love my family and my friends and my dog. Being a vet lets me be better to them and take plenty of time for myself. There are actually good girls out there, girls who like the alphas and are quality relationship material. Show these guys how to be alphas and monogamous. The Red Pill isn't misogyny, although it comes off that way sometimes (actually, it's used that way sometimes). You can take the Red Pill and respect women, you just have to get respect in return. From the sound of it, your buddies are having as much trouble respecting themselves. Alpha behavior is about confidence and self-respect.

You've heard the phrase, "There are no feminists when the ship is sinking"? This is more along the lines of de Sade's "Every man wants to be a tyrant when he fornicates." Fellas, it ain't about being an alpha because the chicks dig it, it's about being an alpha because you are.
