I don't think he's internalizing anything, just stating what he has found to be true. It's what we as humans do. All tigers will eat you. Nah dude, I saw a video where one hugged this guy. I'm sure it exists, I'm also sure I won't give the benefit of the doubt to a tiger until I know he's the one in the video

How could anyone possibly think falsely accusing someone would be a good thing unless they meant to undermine the consequences later? No amount of double talk and circling the wagons can help these idiots when it keeps happening. Lost cause. Start a new one. I've watched mainstream news, tech news, gaming news, fucking sports news, all cave to the same bullshit. I've watched a small men's support group in my hometown have to meet in livingrooms and garages, because feminists scream and cry. Inevitably if you want your own space, create it, because once they take it over, it's gone.

Perhaps this is met with less enthusiasm, but maybe co-opting a movement already in progress with large numbers would help. /r/KotakuInAction/ is already dealing with media doing things like this, and also has dealt with Rolling Stone, so no love lost there either. Not saying it would work, or that they would be interested in this particular case, or even if you are interested in them, but if someone more adept at persuasion could make them see the parallels and how stopping media bullshit regar…
