I shit you not, I've seen a girl call others misogynistic because they "looked like it" and call an Arabian toilet misogynistic... It's literally a fucking hole in the ground, how is that misogynistic??? People just want to see misogyny everywhere and will make up the wildest shit to justify it.

Yes, a minuscule amount of men do so. Women do the opposite as well. Your point being...?

Lack of care or wellness as a whole? Where do you live that women's safety is not cared for? I struggle to think of anywhere in the world where women's safety is not put above men's.

Men don't have an in-group bias, they actually have an out-group one, that is, they like the average woman more than they like the average man. Women on the other hand have no out-group bias, but they have a massive in-group bias, that is, they generally love the average woman. Now, who's left out of this loving cycle...?

Christ, you never had a break since you started dating your wife, I see. Been spoofed shit for 20+ years and more than I've been alive... I cannot imagine the willpower one must have to withstand that. Portugal, a little appendice of the EU.

Jesus Christ, man. I don't know what to tell you. You were a goddamn warrior to stick by your children when it would've been infinitely easier to run. I respect you greatly for that as should everyone. I can only hope you're in a better place right now. I know it's not much better now than it was, but it's getting better, believe me. In my country, national TV just dedicated a small segment to the increasing number of men filing DV claims and being taken in for protection, saying we can also be …

Schrodinger's Feminist strikes back once more. It's not just their status as a victim or empowered that changes depending on what's most useful at any given moment - it's their entire logic and arguments. That's why I can't take it seriously. They're always tripping over themselves on every subject, changing their core beliefs and arguments just to win, not to make a point. You can't have the cake and eat it too - unless you're a feminist, that is.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/06/25 05:32 PM

But then they say that not having sex is ridiculous when it comes to avoiding unwanted pregnancies... Curious.

The preconception that it's easier for women is there for a reason. It's true. But it's one thing say it's easier and another to say they have it guaranteed. They don't have it guaranteed, but goddamn if they don't have it massively massively easier. I'd go out on a limb and say most women that are single are so by choice and I can't say the same for single guys.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/06/25 01:58 PM
16

To be honest, you might be onto something. Feminists started out by being a terrorist group (aka Suffragettes) and only by kidnapping people and blowing up buildings did they manage to get some recognition... That being said, I still don't really agree with this solution and one particular issue aside, it wasn't men that elected Trump. More than half of white women voted for him, let's not divert attention from that very important point.

Whenever talk about feelings come up, I always remember a conversation I had with a colleague in uni. I was explaining to her that I was always alone at lunch in the last year of school. "So, I just sat alone at lunch everyday on the canteen for my last year there." "Oh my God, are you serious?" "Yes, I was-" "You guys had a canteen at your school?!" "...Yes." Sometimes I think back and wonder if she truly was that dense that she didn't realise what the point was or just redirected that conversa…

Weird that they would say that safety is more important than feelings. Had a conversation not long ago with a classmate in uni where she just randomly dropped her opinion that we had the privilege of not walking alone at night scared. First, she not only told me I shouldn't feel scared (so your first point is checked) but when I pointed out that she's less likely to be attacked at night than I am, she doubled down on it. Fortunately, she didn't deny those stats, but still said we were privileged…

Yeah, that's not how that works. There's no "criminal gene" to begin with, and even if there was, people commit crime (and violent crime) for reasons other than their genetic disposition to anger or to defy authority. Hell, I'd go out on a limb and say most crime is committed out of necessity or outside factors that have nothing (or very little) to do with genetics.

Fun fact: STEM is female dominated. The way they count is taking every field in STEM and only counting those that are male dominated towards the overall count. When you make an actual count with every STEM field, women are the majority. Funny how that works, right?

Thanks. Still, this clearly isn't pointing to your comment being that accurate. Yes, 70% are in a relationship, but the younger men (18-29) which are the ones we're talking about, 51% are single. That's just slightly over half of men in that age bracket that aren't seeing anyone.

No immediate objections to the rest of the comment, but some things are straight up wrong: Wage gap or any other bias in regards to jobs is straight up non-existant or skewed in favor of women today. Domestic violence is not largely committed by men, it's the other way around. We have well documented this phenomenon of extreme research tampering and legal workings manipulation to fabricate the narrative of women being the only victims and men the only oppressors (this is also evident in any type…

Perhaps there are. The "it would show" comment is just not true. We have decades of altered/tampered research when it comes to female violence to hide the fact that it's as prevalent as male violence. Researchers with humongous biases that do they their damn hardest to make their views the reality (and they succeed!) Of course, but no one comes from a knife fight unscathed, that might just be enough to persuade him/her. Hell, even though they are more likely to get the short end of the stick, at this point I'd argue that it's more dangerous in the long run to be a man in a DV situation than a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 06:35 PM
1

The best part is that these also work on women! Although the advice in that situation is to run away and pray that you don't get jailed anyway. I guess a shelter is the next step if these can't be taken. This doesn't work for men though. Still thinking of a good alternative.

There are a multitude of things one can do when they're in disadvantageous situations, and it's easy to shut a man down : 1 - groin, instant take-down; 2 - throat, instant take-down; 3 - eyes, might not be instant, but gives you time to run/prepare to attack again; 4 - use of weapons, knifes are pretty much a sure win, or a blunt object, if you're not looking to kill/severely injure.

Even if it's bad, how is killing millions good? You're just replacing one evil with a even bigger evil in the name of "progress". That's one hell of a slippery slope. If we stoop so low as to kill millions for our own benefit, what else will we do for our comfort?

Not that equality, I agree with that definition. I mean equality of opportunity. There will always be areas and activities that men and women are better at than one another. I just think we should fight for the chance to give everyone the same opportunity to chose what they want out of life.
/r/MensRights30/01/23 10:51 PM
8

Does that prevent that we fight for equality? I know it's impossible, but we must fight to get as near to it as possible
/r/MensRights30/01/23 10:40 PM

Well said. It's good knowing the nonsense will stop when the times are tough

Ok, what's your problem? You just come in here, ask for examples of what he did, I provide them, you, without any context or idea of what went down accuse me of tampering with the arguments, say that I have no argumentative skills, complain that I haven't given you any evidence of something you didn't ask for, accuse me of not having any social interaction with women and conflate said lack of social interaction with the validity of my statements, like that's how it works. What's your goal with a…

Look, I understand where you're trying to get at, but I'm not really in the mood to discuss my presenting skills.

Sure.
/r/MensRights27/01/23 10:09 PM

Ah, sorry, I didn't understand. Ad Hominem - "Show me some respect, I'm trying to argue with someone who did (past action) Invincible Ignorance - his refusal to look at evidence. Red Herring - "It's like, if someone sends me a "study" that "checks" Nazi victims, I'm not going to look at it" Strawman - "You have already stated you believe that women aren't oppressed" / "Nothing that I tell you will convince you that everyone deserves to be treated the same way independent of their gender or race"
/r/MensRights27/01/23 08:49 PM

Strawman, Invincible Ignorance, Ad Hominem and Red Herring, if I'm not mistaken.

I guess no side can be a side. What do you mean, a "characterization"? Also, how does it not begin to dismantle the patriarchy? If the patriarchy is meant to keep the women down, if we have systematic erasure of male suffering and highlights of female suffering, doesn't that seem odd? People shouldn't be so stuck with the norm, and open for debate. That's how you innovate. I know why people see my views as bad, I was in their shoes for 18 years, getting fed propaganda and not even thinking about…
/r/MensRights25/01/23 02:44 PM
2

I see. First off, I do not condone political labels. I hate politics in general and do not associate myself with sides. Secondly, we have tons of evidence of media manipulation and censorship of news/studies/statistics to eliminate male suffering and highlight female suffering. That much is fact. Thirdly, who cares if it's beyond the social norm? Do we advance as a society by coloring inside the lines?
/r/MensRights25/01/23 02:33 PM

How so?
/r/MensRights25/01/23 01:59 PM

A good approach

I see, thank you!
/r/MensRights24/01/23 09:47 PM

Not doubting you, but how did you come to know of this in the first place?
/r/MensRights24/01/23 08:58 PM
2

Hold up, but aren't there more women voters than men in the US? (Also, I'm from Europe) I was talking more about stuff like the Duluth Model and Title IX, for example.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 08:56 PM
1

What you're saying has logic to it. But is there a way prove it? Some type of evidence?
/r/MensRights24/01/23 08:48 PM
2

I see, very well put! Thanks for the clarification!
/r/MensRights24/01/23 08:47 PM

Well, he hasn't turned violent
/r/MensRights24/01/23 05:33 PM
2

Holy shit, that first line is my entire experience trying to talk to feminists. Really, I can't get ANYONE to explain anything at all. It's all "go look and then we can talk, I don't have to educate you/if you don't know you're not ready to talk about it" It's so enfuriating, and it's so obvious they're bullshitting cause they have no idea either...
/r/MensRights24/01/23 05:00 PM
2

Well, now that you mention it, he does tend to think his opinion is the correct one in a lot of cases and will dismiss everyone else, but never in this magnitude...
/r/MensRights24/01/23 04:58 PM
2

One of, if not the least patriarchal societies. If it was patriarchal in the first place, that is. Not as bad as Canada or Australia, from what I gather.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 04:57 PM
1

Yeah, I responded with the "I'm dissapointed in your reaction, this isn't you, it's someone else" And said that we should pretend this didn't happen so we could go on as buddies as usual.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 04:55 PM
2

Indeed, easier said than done. Even without the ideological differences, I have always been a 3rd class citizen there, not even 2nd class. The only reason I still "hang out" with them is because I want some kind of human interaction and someone to play multiplayer games with, because, if I didn't want those two things, I would've cut them off already...
/r/MensRights24/01/23 03:03 PM

Yeah, making new ones is the issue. But, I'll try to get by
/r/MensRights24/01/23 02:10 PM

I agree.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 11:14 AM
1

I said that the patriarchy doesn't exist in Europe and North America
/r/MensRights24/01/23 11:11 AM
3

I always see them for what they are, not what they think, I'm the one worried they can't do the same with me, because, ever since I started talking about the issue, I'll get called out and insulted at random every now and then. It seems like I'm walking on eggshells around them, the climate is tense, and I don't know if that's just me, or them too
/r/MensRights24/01/23 11:10 AM
5

But if patriarchy only means that, then there's no issue. Women aren't inherently opressed in a patriarchal society of your definition. It just means men are in power. When I tried to talk to him about the definition of patriarchy he told me exactly what you said, and after replying in the same way as above, he shut off. The media definitely pushes the agenda. From erasing male suffering to only pandering to female issues and putting a spin on issues everyone suffers from but only making them fe…

/r/MensRights24/01/23 11:00 AM
1

What for? He just straight up refused to collaborate
/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:57 AM
3

Well, I've spoken to four people about this directly. The ones with the complete meltdown were a woman and a very effeminate gay man and the ones with a less visceral reaction where two straight guys. Also, I do agree with your theory. I've had it in my mind but not put it to words as you have.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:56 AM
1

He refuses to look at any type of evidence
/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:53 AM
5

Of course, I will always see what they are, not what they think. But their reactions are so visceral that sometimes I'm worried they won't do the same. I've had a friend tell me they only stick around with me because they've been my friends for over a decade now, because, if not, he would've stopped talking to me over this.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:52 AM
2

That does seem to make some sense, thank you!
/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:50 AM
6

I get the gist of it. However, just playing Devil's advocate here, if there are people brainwashed today to not break the illusion, couldn't the women of old be brainwashed to keep their position and do nothing but breed without retaliating?
/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:48 AM

/r/MensRights24/01/23 10:41 AM

Yeah, in a couple of situations. Stuff like this where I can't even express my opinion about without getting demonized just drives the point home. My comment was more on the joke end of things though. I don't actually expect them to burn us at a stake, of course, but more prominent figures have received bomb and death threats for speaking out for men, so...
/r/MensRights24/01/23 03:35 AM

I dunno, man. I hope he comes around soon. Actually, I never questioned feminism myself. It was entirely out of chance that I stumbled upon this subreddit, and had the strength to not look the other way and pretend everything was fine. I saw the statistics. The studies. And then I started piecing it all together. And then I started seeing it. It's everywhere. How could I have been so blind for so long? I don't judge those who still believe, for they have been brainwashed. I judge those who refus…

I know, I just said mentioned it because of the Constitution line. He was saying that, because he is free to express his opinion, he can and will continue to criticize my opinion even though he has voluntarily disregarded evidence that supports it.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 12:15 AM
1

Sorry, bad formatting, phone. It was heated on his side, yeah, I'm just in shock. I have only reported everything word by word, no superfluous judgements or opinions.
/r/MensRights24/01/23 12:12 AM

That's the thing, everyone I talk to about this has an even worse reaction than him... They can't all be traumatized!
/r/MensRights24/01/23 12:10 AM
2

Well, we were discussing right in the middle of our "friend" group
/r/MensRights24/01/23 12:00 AM
7

Of course. I just think that patriarchy is non existent in Europe and North America.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:53 PM
3

Oh yeah, that makes me remember a certain point in the discussion. I was saying that, since he refuses to even look at evidence, he didn't have the right to criticize my opinion. His response was that free speech is in our Constitution and, as such, he has every right to criticize me and will continue to do so because he finds my annoyance to be funny. Yes, he's taking a Law course 🙄
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:52 PM

If my friends abandon me over a different viewpoint, we wouldn't be friends for a long time anyway.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:43 PM

But that implies that they know it's wrong, just afraid of the consequences... I don't know if he knows it's wrong or not. It doesn't seem like he knows.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:43 PM
2

Good theories, unfortunately, I have no idea how to check them
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:39 PM

Sorry, that was a misunderstanding. Just a couple of minutes later, we continued to speak normally. I guess what he meant is that in terms of debates or whatnot, he will not take me seriously
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:38 PM

Oh, yeah, I completely forgot about that... Grim stuff
/r/MensRights23/01/23 11:36 PM

/r/MensRights23/01/23 10:45 PM

So it would seem. This is the usual interaction when trying to discuss it, for sure.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 10:42 PM
11

They haven't started to burn us at the stake for it... Yet.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 10:41 PM
3

Does he know, really? I can only hope he really does. Although, for someone so brash and brazen as he is, I'm quite surprised he'd go with the flow.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 10:33 PM
39

I guess? I'm always for truth, no matter how bad it hurts, but sometimes it still hurts like a bitch. However, I will stand my ground and fight for what believe to be true anyway. I will put the days behind me were I'd pipe down just because I was against the majority or against my friends. No more.
/r/MensRights23/01/23 10:32 PM
41

Yeah, I "won"... But at what cost?
/r/MensRights23/01/23 10:28 PM

What always gets me is the instant hypocrisy that they don't even seem to realize

Most are mutual, with women starting the abuse 70% of the time. This is followed by lesbian relationships and gay relationships at the bottom. This only shows us that women are, in fact, the greatest perpetrator of DV and also the ones that suffer the most (physically) from it. Interesting stats.

Some bullshit about how we can´t trust statistics, we can only take it as guidance and not definitive proof, and therefore, it´s only anecdotal evidence that counts since that´s rooted in experience, or atleast that´s what I gathered, they weren´t that eloquent about it, as you can imagine. They even said there can be studies made without statistics! It was a really sad and embarassing moment for them, since they´re usually (well, one of them atleast) so rational... I´d like to forget it happene…

I dunno, it kind of seemed like they were scrambling to deny everything I said with maximum urgency, but that's normal, since I was shattering their world view.

Perhaps? I'd have to go look it up, thank you!
/r/MensRights25/11/22 01:57 PM

It's not really their fault, they were fed this from birth, just like I was and all of us were. f I hadn't found this sub, I would be just like them, they're not cultists, they are just led astray. And they are very much my friends, of that, I have no doubt.

I dunno man, I'd say it's exceptionally hard to get that answer out of a feminist. It's always "go look it up"; "if you don't know, you aren't qualified to talk of sexism"; "If you don't know, you're misogynistic and I won't talk to you" etc.

Je sui offensé, if I'm not mistaken? I dunno, I haven't touched French in 3 years.

No, we just don't advocate "women hating" around here. We are against feminism, not women.

Yep, me too

This article is obviously satire, the one it's critiquing... Unfortunately, not.

Huh, it's literally in the first sentence. 5 years.

Didn't I see this exact same article, word by word, but from another female psychologist?

"Is it possible to learn this power?"

Bro, that's totally different. That's based on skills, this is based on whether you're a woman or not.

Their mouth is surely big, their brain? Not so much...
/r/MensRights12/08/22 08:55 PM

Funny you mention that... And even if it wasn't 100% it would still be an issue. Discrimination is discrimination, no matter the gravity of it.

Hey, when were getting gender quotas in jobs, we shouldn't be so surprised

Holy shit, dude, your reading comprehension is shit. I never insulted you, I said you were making an ass of yourself, I never said you were an ass. Also, don't lump me in with people when I was just offering to explain the comment. Anyway, I can see we won't get anywhere trying to explain this to you, so I'll do both of us a favor and stop replying. Edit: Hit "send" by mistake

Firstly, hold off on the insults. Secondly, it's because you're missing the point. It's irony, because of their stance on these types of issues, which is completely hypocritical according to their values and what they fight for.

Oh my God, dude, stop. You´re digging yourself deeper and deeper with every coment. Stop making an ass of yourself, please. It hurts to watch.
