Hello, I've recently tried to show the truth to my friends about how women aren't systematically opressed (using only studies and statistics) and they started using anecdotal evidence and doubting the studies because "statistics are faulty and you shouldn't trust them" (even though they demanded statistics in a prior discussion, funny how that works...) and "even if the statistics say that, how do you know the person investigating is trustworthy? And even if it is, I'm sure that's not what actually happens" I was under the impression that what they did was a logical fallacy, does anyone know the name? Also, any tips how to help them see the truth? They're in complete denial, as of right know.
