Excellent post. Loving your wife does not mean you cower and let her do whatever you want. What I found the most useful in terms of my own mindset is to look at her as a mirror that reflects me and my actions. If I'm leading her correctly, she will follow me smiling. If I fuck up, or get lazy, she will start bitching (about the order of the towels in the wardrobe or the kind of toothpaste I bought or something other totally irrelevant). I'm a dancer and I find that dancing is a very good analogy…

Thanks for your input. I already see what you are talking about. I just think that lot of you are focusing on a minor part of my story. I don't think that an act of celibacy will ruin the relationship. I never wanted to make this a regular thing, as it would mean I don't get to have sex. So it would be counterproductive. What I want to remember is the mindset I discovered: I do not always have to have sex. I was kind of juvenile in this regard up until now; every time there was a possibility I j…

You've essentially made god the alpha here I am OK with God being the alpha - this is the Christian way. :)

First of all, I do think of myself as married already, although I don't have a document proving it yet. Secondly, I am not playing any game, I solemnly do this fasting for spiritual reasons. It just dawned on me in the process how powerful denial can be in increasing a woman's lust, and shared my wonderment. I do not wish to take advantage of this or misuse this, as it would be wrong (and womanly, as others said in the thread). I WILL although follow through with my resolution, because I think i…

you got a wife who is willing to satisfy you 1-2 times a week and is lusting after you but you decide to throw it in her face, repeatidly, when she openly admits that she wants you I think you confuse the cause and the effect. She was declining sex, because she couldn't enjoy it with all the anxiousness her illness was causing in her. I was looking for a solution for my problem, one was the lent, the other was MRP (both started roughly the same time). It was deadbedroom, 70% for medical reasons,…

I do not "permit" it. I planned it, I discussed it with her, we agreed on it, now I enforce it.

it's not withholding as in power struggle it's abstaining I totally agree in general, but I had to say no to her as she was carried away when I was gaming her. So in a sense, I was withholding, but she couldn't get mad, because it was our mutual resolution in the first place. I tend to over-analyze, that is the main reason I was coming to the community, to weed out the "over" part from it :) But I don't think this is too much reflection, as sometimes it is hard to tell apart a natural psychologi…

I understand lent and being a good Catholic I don't think you do. Catholics have already built up enough stigma surrounding sex, don't make it worse by abstaining from it during lent like its a dirty thing. I don't think sex is a dirty thing. What I do is I voluntarily forgo something good, as a sacrifice, as a way to thank Christ for doing the ultimate sacrifice for me: dying for my sins. I think sex is wonderful, and also my favorite thing to do, that's why I chose sex as a sacrifice.

I felt she was weaponizing sex denial, but now you made me realize I wasn't comfortable acknowledging that fact. I was trying to paint a better picture, than what reality was. So thank you, stranger. It wasn't terrible, but there was too many starfish sex for my liking, and my mentality was bad: I was accepting bad sex, as it was better than no sex. It wasn't ubiquitously starfish, but it happened too many times. Also there was no spice in it, that is fully my fault: it was the same thing when w…

Dude, don't take it in a literal sense everything you read. Shit tests are not her ripping one to test if shit comes out or only gas. =) This is fucking disgusting, in my opinion, and a HUGE sign of disrespect. There is a shit test beneath it though: she is looking at your reaction. And you show weakness. You whine about how disgusting she is, and that's all, you don't follow up. If you just whine and don't punish her (kicking her out of bed make her apologize or make amends) then the next fart …

Look up the term "reality distortion field". It is coined to someone working at Apple. It was used to describe Steve Jobs' ability to look at a project, refuse to believe it was impossible and make his men do it anyway. He was alpha as fuck, his employees hated his guts, but look at what he achieved.

This was really helpful, thanks! I was worried about my beer belly (I am rather thin everywhere else) Since I started to work out, it wasn't as bad any more, but still visible, and it bothered me. After watching this video, I realized it was mostly my posture and not just fat. 60% of my "beer belly" just vanished, when I tilted my pelvis into the correct position. Also, planking and pushups really helped by strengthening my core muscles. I will make sure I do these every day from now on.

Tests can be divided into two categories: compliance and congruence tests. Your first example was a textbook compliance test: she asked for something like a queen, and you complied, like a servant. That was the basic dynamic between you in that case. There are multiple ways to deal with these, one of the easier ones is asking for something in return. This way the favor you doing to her is TRADED for something you want (ok, babe, but you give me a backrub for it). If you do not trade, you basical…

I won't tell you you shouldn't take his seminar, but I will tell you this: I've never been to his seminar, and I have a pdf copy of his book.
