Great answer 😂. A lot of the people in here are emotionally damaged at the moment. I dated a lot during my divorce, and I noticed I wasn’t emotionally ready to have a relationship. The sex and dating helped me get my confidence back, but I was in no condition to be getting into anything committed. It took me about 1yr to get my head back enough to be in a committed relationship. But hey, good luck. Maybe you’ll find what you’re looking for 🤙🏽

Congrats man! Sounds like you’re in the thick of it right now, but the other side is awesome. You probably have some time before you get to the good part, but rest assured it’s coming. YOLO!!

You edited a lot there dude. Huge changes to your story. You started your post off with, “I was in a relationship with a married woman”. You might want to leave that part out when you contact an attorney, and that’s probably what you should do. You have enough money to retain a good attorney, so I’d get on that. The savings is going to get pillaged anyways because your ex sounds like she want some. Check with your attorney about the recordings, but they don’t care if she’s saying things about yo…

Just a quick question. When you were sleeping with another mans wife, do you think you did anything wrong to her husband? You said your wife doesn’t want to sleep with you, do you really think she’s not sleeping with someone else? Do you think the abortions were because she didn’t want a baby, or because the baby didn’t belong to you? Look man, I’m saying you have poor morals. The fact that you don’t see anything wrong with sleeping with another mans wife says something about your character, and…

So your previous relationship was with a woman who was married? Was she married to someone else while you were having a relationship with her?

You lost me when you said you were in a relationship with a married woman. If your OK with sleeping with married women, then whatever happens to you and your future relationships is karma. Get some morals before someone puts a boot in your mouth.

I can’t believe you allow your daughter be treated poorly by someone your with. That alone is reason enough to leave. Then you said you work all day while your wife and her cousin are day drinking with the maintenance man?!? Your wife and her cousin sound like adult children. Don’t let anyone treat your children poorly. Never.....

Exactly. It was hard for me to stand firm on my decision. My ex said all the right things, and made all the right promises. You have to know what you want for yourself, and what you can live with. Good luck man

IMO, you told her you’re “definitely getting divorced” and it bothered her. My ex did the same thing multiple times during our divorce, and after our divorce. I just ignored it and blocked her. It’s been 2yrs, and I think she’s finally accepting it. I honestly think it’s more about your ex wanting YOU to want HER. Even if there’s no hope of ever getting back together, it helps some people’s self esteem to have their ex wanting them back during a time when their self esteem is getting beat down c…

Yes. My life is far better now than it was while I was married. I didn’t want the divorce, and “thought” I was happy. I would have never cheated, or left, but once I found out I was cheated on, I walked out. I’m (40M) and I would do the exact same thing all over again. I love my post divorce life. I know how fucked up divorce is for guys, but your life after divorce is what YOU make it out to be. My advice is to think about how you want your life to be, and be relentless in accomplishing that go…

I understand everything you’re saying here. But here’s something you have to look forward too. One day everything you just said, and everything pissing you off won’t mean shit to you anymore. The reasons you got divorced, how your ex feels about the situation, who’s fault it was, etc. It all won’t mean shit as long as your kids are good. You’ll still feel certain ways about how they conducted themselves in court, but it won’t make you mad anymore. You’ll be more concerned about yourself and the …

I can’t believe you haven’t made, and started your exit plan. Make a plan NOW. If she doesn’t feel bad for what she’s done, she won’t feel bad cleaning you out in court. Get your shit together now or you’re going to be paying for it for a very long time.

Thank you for your service. There’s some good advice being given here, so I’ll leave it there. Sorry you’re going through this, and stand strong brother.

You’ll stop being a chump when you decide you want your dignity back. Some guys play the chump their whole life. Don’t be that guy, you’ll regret it.

That situation sucks to be in. My ex has been trying to get back together since we finalized the divorce. We slept together a couple times after the divorce was finalized, and I really considered getting back together. But then I realized I’m not built for that shit. I can never be with someone who cheated. I have this “thing” about being cheated on, and I have to much dignity to just let that go. It’s been almost 2 yrs and my ex still tries to get back together. Some guys can get over cheating …

Don’t worry about the officers opinion. 2 married men? Sounds like your ex is a side hoe. Side hoes always remain the side piece until the real wife finds out. Just let it go and move on. Some people like the reactions they get, and usually panic when the reactions fade. Way better to just move on and find someone who makes you happy. Then you won’t care who’s marriage she’s disrespecting because it won’t be yours.

I second what this guys says. The attorney is money well spent, and it’s obvious you have no other choice. Defend yourself. Sounds like she’s already a couple steps ahead of you. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Good luck man

Preach!! There’s a lot of truth spoken here. FYI, this much truth is offensive to self entitled and weak. They NEED someone to do what they can’t do for themselves.

I was in that “She would never do that” state of mind. I don’t think anyone thinks their SO is capable of such hateful or vindictive acts. If I would have thought there was a chance of her being so evil, I obviously wouldn’t have married the bitc*. I also think I was caught up in the image thing. We were a decent looking couple, I was moving up in my occupation, she got pregnant, I bought a house and did the whole family man thing. It was what I thought I was supposed to do. My main problem was …

Your marriage is over man. Accept the fact that she’s not yours. Look at everything she’s done to you and wake up. Your immediate future is going to suck, but things get better. Good luck

Support is everything for him right now. His STBX is already executing her exit plan, and apparently her plan automatically includes the house, kids, and support. He needs to see an attorney now, and a therapist soon after. Just be there to talk to him when he needs it, and let him vent out all the shit that’s going through his head. Good luck man

I would tell her to fuck off. But I do dumb things sometimes. 50/50 is fair to me. 75/25 sounds like a pretty self entitled person to be negotiating a divorce with. Lawyer up man! Good luck

I didn’t fuck a trans, but I did pretty much the rest of this. It’s amazing how fast the self pitty melted away after I was balls deep in new women. I’ve learned FWBs are they way to go. You get all the good times and sex, but none of the drama and BS. Hit the gym, cultivate a couple FWBs, and get snipped. YOLO!!!!!

Just be ready to support them. My son was 10 at the time, and he leaned heavily on me, and still does. Just make sure they know you both love them. Good luck

I divorced with an 11yr old boy, and he’s with me now full time. Everyone is correct that it’s not his choice to make. My son was mainly looking for stability, and to be reassured that he wasn’t “loosing” either parent. Kids are pretty resilient, and as long as you look like you have your shit together, he’ll be ok. Good luck

I’m 39yrs old The bad: Even after divorce the Ex is still very very jealous and vindictive towards me. Probably because she can tell I’m happier. I’ll admit I have moments when I feel lonely or depressed, but the frequency and severity have diminished each time. The Good: Life is pretty good. I was with my ex for 16yrs, and I forgot how much fun it is to meet new women as a single man. I also got my confidence back. I’ve noticed I’m dressing different, and I care more about my appearance. Work o…

I would speak with your attorney about this. The judge I had decided my ex and I were both responsible for the living cost while we were married. So I paid half her mortgage, and I only paid half of my own rent for the duration of the divorce. Buckle up because divorce is expensive. I did extremely well in my divorce, but it cost me a lot of money and sleep. If she did this to her ex, then I would assume she’s going to do the same. Good luck man.

I agree that she knows what’s coming. If she’s making moves already, you’re in a fight. It’s in your best interests to start defending yourself.

I would file first. Do some research online about moving out though. They have attorneys that will represent you for free from the court. Research that as well. Good luck. The uglier the divorce, the more it costs!

I logged all the time my son was with me, especially when technically my son was supposed to be in the EXs custody, but she would leave him with me, or have me pick him up. All the communication between the EX and myself. And any event that took place having to do with my divorce. Did she take him to school, did she feed him, did she spend any time with him while he was with her, was she drunk or high when she was with him, etc. The daily log helped a lot. I noticed the judge had tabs in the cop…

Mine started doing that, and I decided to just buy new things for myself. It took a little while, but I’m glad I did. I considered it “cutting off the loose ends”. And the less I have to deal with her, is worth the money.

I’m in Nevada and I did get a lawyer right away. I’ve been keeping a daily log, and I have a hard time proving she’s doing blow, because she’s careful about it. We have a temporary 50/50 custody, but my son is with me about 75% of the time. I’ve kept a daily log since day 1, and am still logging the hours he’s with me. How much of an impact will this have in court?
